David shook his head, "no Ari I can't do that even if I took it I wouldn't be able to stop the change."

Ari bit her lip. "Can't we at least try?" she whispered, hugging him tightly.

David sighed, "alright....alright we'll try but I don't know if it'll work Ari."

Ari nodded and pulled back, taking his arm. "Okay... Hold out your hand..." she murmured.

David held out his hand toward her, an ancient marking of the dragon that had destroyed the other dragon cities visable on his palm.

Ari bit her lip, running her fingertips along the mark. "Okay..." she took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She focused and pressed her palm against his. The mark on his hands began to glow, and he would feel energy slowly flowing into him as she felt it leaving her.

David was trying to force the other dragon in him to give up, but it wouldn't it kept fighting him every chance it got to be free of his hold. David forced his hands away, on his face was a look of pure terror. "It won't work Ari he's taking the energy and using it for his own." He slowly started to back up his palms up, "just please stay away I don't want to hurt you."

Ari bit her lip. "I... I don't care!" she took a few steps towards him. "Please, we'll find away, just please, don't shut me out..." a few tears rolled down her cheeks. "Please.... I don't care if you hurt me, hell, I would die to help you get rid of this.....This dragon!"

David just looked at her, then looked at the ground "and if you don't get rid of this thing what will you do then when it takes control?" He whispered.

Ari covered her face woth her hands and.fell to her.knees, beginning to cry. "I don't know! I don't, okay?! I don't know what to do anymore!" she sobbed, wiping her face with her jacket sleeves. "I just want to know that you'll be okay.... That's.all I ask.... All I ask is.that everyone that I love to be safe for once...."

[Drakon rilt]

David sighed, he walked forward. Putting his arms around her, and sitting there with her in his arms. "I'm sorry I said that to you I truly Adam I'm just scared out of my mind Ari."

Ari cried into him, clinging to the fabric of his shirt. "I am too...... You have no idea how worried I am for you..."

David hugged her tightly in his arms, "you are the most important thing to me Ari you don't know how much I don't want to hurt you when this thing makes me black out just promise me this just be careful around me that's all I'm asking."

Ari nodded, sniffling. "O... Okay... I'll *sniff* try..." she whimpered. "I love you.. So...so much.... I just... Don't want anything to happen to you."

David nodded, "I know Ari I know that you don't want anything to happen to me hell I don't want anything happening to me."

Konsa planned to do what he knew best, thievery. He stalked towards the mall, peeking in the window. Past the merchandise on display, he could see that there were no more customers. The only person who seemed to be inside, was the cashier. Who was not paying very close attention, half asleep on the job. Konsa tiptoed inside, going up behind the counter. The cashier only noticed Konsa when he snuck up right by him. Konsa swiftly took advantaged of the cashier's surprise. Konsa slammed the cashier's head onto the edge of the counter, knocking him unconscious. The cashier slumped to the floor, and Konsa stepped over the body to go through the cash register. He did not notice the manager, emerging from the employee's lounge.

Ari leaned back, wiping her face. "I... I'm sorry..."

[Drakon rilt]

David looked at her, "why are you saying sorry to me? You didn't do anything to me that would hurt me Ari."

Ari laughed slightly through her sobs. "I cried all over you..." she said, running a finger over the wet material of his shirt. She hiccuped and covered her mouth, laughing slightly.

David smiled a bit, "I don't really care it's just a shirt Ari." He laughed a little, as she hiccuped.
