As far as sidious having something to do with jango being hired for the clones isn't something that I believe has been revealed but he was chosen specifically because he was Mandalorian and would be bringing both this genes and his warrior culture ethos to the clones during their training. In addition, with time constraints, it is far easier to work with a genome you are familiar with and modifying it for desirable traits.

It was Sidious' plan to create the Clones, right? I believe he told Dooku to find a suitable template as well as destroy a renegade Jedi. Dooku hit two birds with one stone and hired a number of bounty hunters to track down that renegade Jedi. Fett was the victor and defeated the Jedi, and was thus chosen by Dooku to be the template.

Sidious must have had a hand in it all since his intention was to form an army that was strictly loyal to him.

Also, I am not entirely sure Fett was always in it 'for the money'. I've always been under the impression he's been somewhat honorable. Sure, he was in it for the money at times... but Dooku paid him a handsome profit for not only killing the Jedi, but for being the template for the Clone army. I never understood why he felt obligated to assassinate Padme. He HAD money.

Well Sifo-Dyas commissioned the clones so I'm assuming he provided the template, Doku wanted to keep the a secret for later perhaps even after the war. (The sith like to think ten steps ahead.) However I am assuming that Jango would fight for the Separatists because he had already attacked Jedi and attempted to assassinate a Senator.

I know that's true, but that doesn't make sense to me. Why would Fett provide his genome for the Republic's Clone Army, and then do something to antagonize the Republic? Especially considering the fact he was paid as much as he was.

Wonder what the Clones would have done? Damn you Lucas for leaving me hanging like this!

The Prequels are badly written and don't make any sense or stand up to any kind of examination, film at eleven.

Rightly said. I always hated how Fett got killed. I'm not THAT he died, just mad HOW he died. It was so cheap.

EDIT: Same thing for the original trilogy too, though. The Fett's are suppose to be infamous bounty hunters, but they look like a bunch of no-good goons.

Maybe because he felt that the Sith had a better offer or maybe he promised something greater by Dooku. Perhaps a chance to rebuild his clan and start a peaceful life raising his son, it's what any father would have wanted.

So what are we to determine? Cuz I was honestly hoping to be a republican commando. Unlike your average clone trooper, commandos had much more free will and some even refused "order 66" because of personal reasons. Not to mention they were skilled enough to fight alongside Jedi and after the clone wars, Vader used them to hunt down surviving Jedi.

I'm just gonna.
Work down the page.

1) The Mandalorian thing could have actually been a thing because they were a warrior culture and treated comrades like family.
2) Sure he had money. But the Fetts kept going quite often. I mean look at real life. Do people stop when they're filthy rich? No they keep going.
3) Sifo-Dyas like Dooku saw the corruption in the senate and felt that in the future the Jedi may need an army, Dooku who had already seen all the corruption and what not and had fallen under Sidious' rule helped him to form the clone army in order to program them the way they wanted. In this I was going to have Palpatine be more directly involved with Sifo-Dyas but that is the past and won't be that important to the RP.
4) Jango wasn't actually as attached to the clones as some of the other Mandalorians were. He was someone who saw them as more of a paycheck. Yes he knew they were for the Republic but if you look Bounty Hunters rarely chose sides. As long as someone wanted someone else dead, he had a job. I mean look at Boba for example. He killed members of the Empire about as often as he killed the Empires enemies.
5) Covered most of these points naoowww

I don't think we'd have commandos. Simply as they are commandos they are meant to be part of small infiltration special ops teams with that you won't spend a lot of time interacting with others. Not to mention Commandos were often sent ahead of the main invasion force in order to scout out and take out some key emplacements. BUT Enalais is leading the 13th Legion so we'll wait and see what he says.

Sorry folks been having a busy busy life... For the commandos i agree with Sep, i would need a really good explanation of how they'd interact with the other units due to their normally solitary nature in dealing with others outside their squad.. A bounty hunter would be fine as long as he has a side to start out on. Tomorrow i'm gonna talk with Sep about making a CS and a ooc and then off we go, but once again guys sorry my life has been super busy thanks for sticking with it though.

Well darn... my original character(s) was a Clone Commando (squad) too. Oh well, I might be able to think of something else if ever that doesn't work out. I might go down the path of an ARC-Trooper loosely based off my Commando character, or just make a new one entirely that's a militia member/volunteer that was enlisted into the 13th. I'd go bounty hunter, but I don't think I'd be able to portray a bounty hunter persona very well, haha.
