Edit regarding legendaries: As said in the original thread, legendary pokemon are allowed- within reason. Noble houses are the most common people to have legendary pokemon, as some were specifically chosen by them to serve as guardians, envoys, servants, etc. Though not all are bound to nobles, some seek out individuals who devote themselves to causes or to the legends themselves, such as... Actually, let me get a quick list together of legendaries that haven't been taken. In short, there better be a damn good reason why you have a legendary pokemon. As always, approval is required for a legendary pokemon. Morphs cannot have legendary pokemon forms, at all.

A caveat regarding player-owned legendaries- They aren't at full power. Either because they are willingly limiting their power (and have no way to regain it without undergoing a difficult quest/task) or are simply drained/young/old/tired. Some legendaries do actually reproduce through unknown means, mostly minor legends like the bird trio.

Regarding Character Sheets: I am accepting character sheets made using the template found in the original OOC/IC thread, though there are a few things to note.
1. Change "Country" to "Allegiance". Is the character loyal to either of the kingdoms, themselves, or some other group?
2. Ignore the "Anime pictures only" part of the appearance section. I'm not sure why it was a rule in the first place.
3. You don't have to put a catch phrase in the "Other" section, though I find that it gives characters a bit of flavor. Doesn't even have to be a catch phrase, just a quote from the character that shows their personality.
4. Feel free to use the original names of Pheonixis/Luria for now, but be aware that names are going to change when I get the OOC/IC thread up. You probably won't have to do too much more than search and replace in np++.

Hello everyone! As some people may know, a medieval Pokemon RP was started about two weeks ago by TwilightDragon. Unfortuantely TD went missing at some point without warning, leaving us without a GM. Because something like this only comes around once in a blue moon, I've decided to revive the RP. That said, I am looking for a Co-GM to help run this.

The RP will be fairly open-ended, and players will have plenty of wiggle room to integrate their ideas into the plot. Your character's decisions will be your own.

-Overview-
Two kingdoms, once united under a single king a long time ago, are at the brink of war. One rallies under the banner of the great bird of sacred flames, the other under the beast of the seas. They both vie for control of the ancient king's authority over both kingdoms, but it was only until recently that war began seeming inevitable. For now, both kingdoms amass troops for the coming war as their subjects continue living their lives. Farmers harvest their crops, warriors train, and squires struggle to follow in their knight's footsteps. Life goes on.

Then there is the elusive third party. Morphs are strange creatures, humans gifted (or perhaps cursed?) with the ability to shift into Pokemon forms at will. They are, at best, distrusted and ostracized from society and at worst they are actively hunted down and killed. Nobody truly knows how they came to be or how their abilities work, as all known history regarding Morphs is muddled by superstition and misinformation. The Morph's Pokemon form changes from their birth as they age mentally and physically. Morphs tend to hide their true nature from others in fear of prosecution.

Pokemon are a staple part of everyday life. Rather than being caught through some mechanical or magical means, Pokemon are tamed and befriended by hand. Most warriors care for a single Pokemon that they entrust to fight by their side in battle. Pokemon are even used for more mundane purposes, such as helping tend to crops or for simple companionship. Some noble houses have even made pacts with mythical beings.

Just two things. Changing "Country" to "Allegiance", and I'm going to change the names of towns and countries to give the illusion of originality. Haven't been able to come up with anything specific but it shouldn't be too hard to ctrl+f replace after the fact. For now, just put them up and fix them once I get off my ass and come up with names.

Groudon is a rather lax pokemon, when not following orders from his master, and would rather laze around rather than fight. However, his anger and rage is a force to be reckoned with, and what does it take to do that? Just his masters order, and he'll raze the entire landscape. He does think very highly of himself and his own power. Claiming you're stronger than he is, is just asking for trouble.

Appearance:


Personality: Claire is a serious one. She doesn't like messing around, or people who are lazy and mess around themselves. As far as she cares, there is no rest for anyone until all your work is done, and as far as she's concerned there is always work to be done. Always something someone could do other than just laze about. Train. Work. Study. Anything is better than doing nothing. She is calm when dealing with most people, even in battle she never loses her cool most of the time. That is, unless she's beaten. That's only ever happened once, and she vows never to lose again, so she trains daily to improve her skills.

This calm exterior though, is just a front for her temper. While she does keep her cool under most circumstances, if she gets pissed or upset about something, then there's not much someone can do to calm her down. One of the things to set her off easily, is morphs. She absolutely hates the creatures, and will not hesitate to kill one for the slightest of reasons.

Biography: Claire is a member of a declining noble family in Pheonixis. Years of having their money thrown around by her incompetent older brother and by her parents own rather bad money managing skills, their house probably won't last a whole lot longer. However, their name still carries some weight, as an old and powerful house - one that has passed down the legend of the ancient pokemon Groudon from generation to generation. At first, Claire didn't really care about nobility and such that much. Mostly because her parents hardly ever taught her how important it was. So much so, that they practically had the families servant, a Gallade, raise her himself.

Her easy lifestyle didn't last pat her 20th birthday, however. While out training with Gallade much to her own dismay, they stumbled upon a few morphs. The morphs weren't to happy to see a human, even if she had no intent of harming them. A fight broke out and Gallade was killed while protecting her from them. That day drastically changed her, and she became determined to change her ways. She went back home, and demanded that her grandfather tell her the legends about Groudon. He tried to reason with her, but it was no use. She learned that Groudon was sleeping in an ancient mountain cave, where their ancestors used to worship the beast as a god. No one for generations had been able to wake it. But she was determined to change that.

As luck would have it, or maybe it was fate. Either way, Groudon responded to her call and woke. The long dormant pools of magma and volcanic activity suddenly flowing as the ancient pokemon shook off the hardened magma that had encased it. At first, her family was stunned - and in a somewhat rash move named her the head of their house, and turned over all the financial, business, and other decisions to her. Since then, she has worked somewhat successfully in rebuilding her family, but that is only her secondary motive. she has vowed to find the morphs that killed Gallade, and make them suffer for what they did.

Her first goal, however, is to restore Groudon to his former power. After years of sleep and dormancy, she believes his power only to be a fraction of what her families ancient legends say. That, is her first step to restoring her families glory and punishing the morphs.

Appearance:

Her most striking feature is her golden eyes, something most people notice right away about her. Though it is off putting to some, most do not associate the trait with being a morph. The armor she wears, she stole from some human merchants after they made the mistake of passing through her territory once.

Personality: Overconfident and competitive, with a heavy dose of arrogance and love of fighting.

Fiercely loyal to the morphs and anyone she considers a friend or 'her plaything', and incredibly vindictive against anyone who would harm the morphs. She hates losing in any way, shape, form, or fashion - making absolutely sure to do her best at anything she does. Whether it be training or some other mundane task. She wants nothing more to be the best, (like no one ever was!) And as far as she's concerned, she can only get better and stronger. And she will, no matter what it takes.

To most humans, she is cold, aloof and considers most to be a pest after most dealings with them have ended badly. However, she doesn't view all as inherently evil, but she is wary of most of them, routinely intimidating any who stray to close to her territory into leaving if they aren't a soldier or a knight. If they don't leave...well, her charity only goes so far and she won't be giving them another chance. If they don't leave, then they won't be leaving. Any solider though, she will fight and possibly kill without mercy, though she'll probably toy with them a bit at first. She won't give chase though, should they decide to flee.

When dealing with other morphs, she is noticeably friendlier and less guarded and violent though.

Biography: Levi grew up with six brothers and sisters, in a small village of morphs that was hidden away from the humans. Being the youngest child of the bunch, she was often considered the runt and was overshadowed by them. Though, her parents tried their best to make her feel as though she wasn't. So, to make up for this, she decided she was going to make sure she does her best, not matter what, even if it meant possibly hurting someone in the process. So from an early age she honed her hunting skills as a morph and in human form, making her first hand-made spear at the age of twelve, and her own set of makeshift armor at the age of thirteen. She didn't know it at the time, but these self-learned abilities would save her life one day.

She was out hunting and stumbled upon a group of human knights. At the time, she had only heard stories about them and what they did to morphs, so curiosity got the best of her. Needless to say, that was a bad idea. The pokemon with them immediately recognized her as a morph. The human knights decided it would be funny if they kidnapped her after appearing friendly to her. Well, the plan succeeded because she naively believed they could be trusted. After they successfully subdued her, they started back to wherever they came from. Levi managed to escape though, stealing one of the knights spears and fighting her way out. She killed two and knocked the rest unconscious. Now, most people would have probably gone back home. Unfortunately, she had no idea where she was, so she sat off in the direction she thought the forest was in, and went from there.

For the last few years, she has been travelling, trying to find her way back home while helping other morphs when necessary and sometimes harassing humans for the fun of it.

WEAPON: A handsome bow personally handcrafted by Seth himself. It has crude, decorative pictures of bird Pokemon etched into the wood.

APPEARANCE:

Seth is short in stature at only 5'5" and appears much younger and more boyish than his true age due to his delicate, almost effeminate facial features. He has narrow, bird-like amber eyes with excellent long-distance eyesight at the detriment to his ability to see things close to him clearly. As a result, they seem to flicker from side to side or cloud over when talking to someone. It is not uncommon to see him covered in dirt or with feathers sticking to him.

Just like the Pokemon he follows dutifully, Seth does look particularly bird-like with unruly orange hair that fans itself out behind him like feathers and purposefully sharp fingernails to act as talons. He lacks muscles for the sole purpose of being easy to carry in flight with an almost stick-like figure. As far as armour goes, the mask that he wears to prevent chafing from the wind is made from the scratched plates of a skarmory.

PERSONALITY:
Quiet and socially awkward due to a great amount of his time spent in the company of Pokemon, Seth has never really had a chance to befriend other humans. He tends to forget the manners and just general pleasantries he learned early in life in favour of brutal, straight-to-the-point honesty. What even is small talk?

With most of his life having been outside the boundaries of civilisation, he prefers to live an altruistic lifestyle without greed or much wealth, living off the land and befriending the creatures of the wild. Due to this, Seth is often restless and easily bored. Without travel, he has little else to do with his time and so whenever he is struck by a bout of wanderlust he follows it to the ends of the earth.

HISTORY:
Seth was both blessed and cursed with his family, a group of bird-Pokemon fanatics who ran a hillside aviary in Phoenixis. On one hand, he had companions practically forced upon him to train with, on land and sky, and from a young age experienced first-hand the uses they had as messengers and hunters. It was on his fifth birthday when he was given an egg of his own, taken from a pidgeot with a prestigious heritage that the family kept, and when it hatched he named the pidgey Belle. Living in the aviary with his parents and a few other caretakers spoiled him for any of the other pokemon types - birds were the best.

Unfortunately, not everyone took kindly to Featherheart Tower's residents as two out of the five adults were morphs; one of which was his mother. It was burned to the ground when he was eleven years old and he had to flee, not knowing whether any of the Pokemon or humans got out alive. While the experience was traumatic (and well-known throughout the kingdom for a tragedy), it was a turning point in Seth's life as he began to live off the land, studying and befriending various species in their natural environment.

For a time, he was well-known in the kingdom for his violent activism against those who would hunt the Farfetch'd to near extinction for their flavour. Now, his righteous anger has cooled off and he is currently on a journey to hunt down rumours of a legendary bird of ice and snow in hopes of begging for its help in quieting the conflict between the two countries.

Personality: Zaegar is a cold uncaring individual, he watches out for #1 over all else. At least that’s what he tries to look like. He reality he has a soft spot for other homeless folks or orphans like himself. His tough attitude will fool anyway on first look but after a day or so the cracks in his facade become noticeable. Zaegar is tenacious to a fault and has a hard time letting go of something he’s set his sights on. He can be a bit of a Kleptomaniac at times if he finds something that really grabs his attention.

Biography: Zaegar grew up on the streets of Luria, a street waif with only one thing to his name, a strange colored stone on a necklace. He lived the way all the other street urchins did, by stealing. It was a hard life growing up and Zaegar became used to hardship. As he grew up he learned to control his Morphing powers and often used them to save himself from a pinch. Partially transforming made him stronger and gave him more speed that saved him from many a danger. Zaegar did whatever he had to in order to survive but as he grew older and his powers grew stronger and he began to change. Instead of solely stealing to feed himself he would often give food to younger kids. Soon he became a hero to the kids that lived on the streets and was given a bounty.

Personality: Shade is one vain pokemon, even for a legendary. He must alway look his best, no matter what he's doing. And he's arrogant to, tending to under estimate his enemies

Appearance:

Personality: Korrey is a rather laid back individual, not really caring that he's royalty, which makes him popular with his family's subjects. He is however, an avid battler, and roams the country side to hunt down, uh I mean happen upon, trainers to battle. But he only picks those who seem like they'll be a challenge. HE also has a special placce in his heart for Shade, who has served his family loyally for generation. He is also completely clueless about women and romance, tending not to want to deal with it in favor of battling.

Biography: Korrey is the black sheep of the Umbraisis family. While the rest of his family is a serious group of nobles, he just isn't. Thus it was a surprise to everyone in hi family, when Yveltal, their family Guardian, chose him as his new master upon Reginald Umbarisis', Korrey's uncle, death. Ever since then, Korrey has been seeking to have a lot of fun with Shade, half because he loves the Legendary Death God, half because he now can place a date on his time of death. He has been chosen to be Yveltal's master at a time when Yveltal will soon have to reincarnate. As his trainer, he must sacrifice his life, or else Yveltal will go to a near by town to select a human ripe to become his blood sacrifice. It'll happen in his 35th birthday.

Personality: Axia is very, very unstable. While normally quite docile, if something startles her, or angers, she goes on a tends to go on a rampage. Only John can get close enough to calm her down when that happens. She is also extremely possessive of John, especially around other females.

Appearance:

Personality: Mad is an understatement, John is completely insane, but he controls it rather well outside of battle. Out of combat, he just twitches, rambles nonsense, and have no sense of personal space. In battle, most should run the other way, since he becomes a hurricane, smashing open heads with both his mace and shield, laughing with the glee of that can only be expressed by the truly mad.

Biography: John was an bastard child of a high class family, sent away to live at an orphanage. John soon ran away to live among the pokemon, but eventually found his way into a colony of Haxorus. He some how began living with them, before leaving when he saw a procession of people trekking through the forest. He was followed by Axia, who was a only an Axew at the time. They were taken in by a local noble, where he became a squire, then a Knight due to his fantastic fighting skills. it took awhile,since no Knight could handle him for long due to his utter insanity, or Axia's crazed rampages.

Appearance: Like this, except she has no horns, her hair is purple, and she doesn't have on any armor, just some leather covering for her lower and upper halves.

Personality:She is the Alpha of her Morpher Clan, and thus has a strong sense of responsibility and a stern attitude. She can have fun though, but can easily switch back to strictness if someone forgets their place. She has a hatred for humans, but doesn't let herself be blinded by it, knowing not all humans are completely devoid of empathy for her kind. But she will always be distrustful of them.

Biography: Her story was pretty normal until she was around 10. Then she was captured by humans, were she was enslaved. There she stayed for 7 years, treated horribly by her owners, escaping when she evolved. She broke out and decimated anyone who got in her way, then flew away until she found a new clan. She was stronger than most of the others, due to the fact that she was forced to fight for her captors enjoyment, most the battle's to the death, so she soon became the clan head, the Alpha.

Personality: A bit disturbed, fiery temper.
Biography: Zavier grew up in a small city, renowned as a tourist attraction. The local pokemon all fought in roaming packs, but Zavier wasn't welcome in any of the packs. The domesticated pokemon found him to crass, while the wild ones could smell the human on him. Constantly he had to hide from all the packs that thought of him as fair sport. But if he shifted back into a human the Watchmen would try him as a vagrant and the local gangs of kids would pick on him just as much as the pokemon did. So he stayed mostly in his pokemon form, until he found a graveyard where no-one came except ghost pokemon and the odd mourner or psychic. He grew to love that place, even spending hours as a human, but he always reverted to a pokemon for when he was to get food and when he slept. One day he was seen by a few humans in the graveyard, but he thought nothing of it until the next morning where he found himself in a crate. That crate was being shipped to a big port city, well his adventure has only just began.

Weapon:
A worn, wooden fishing rod. Though an odd choice for a weapon, Aleida uses it as effectively as possible. The end of the line is tipped with a straight, somewhat dull weight rather than a hook, and due to its user's somewhat pacifistic nature it is normally used to trip up opponents and keep them at bay while she attempts to escape the conflict.

Tidal is an extremely protective companion, countering Aleida's naive nature with his own distrustful one. He is extremely cautious, though definitely has a motherly side and loves to care for those in need. Somewhat stubborn, he'll remain stoic until he gets his wish, though can be easily wavered when forced by Aleida. With a gentle gaze and a harsh bite, Tidal is Aleida's voice of reason at times, and he seems to have vowed to never leave her side. They are not a master and a pet, they are companions, partners. Friends.

Appearance:
A short, slender woman, Aleida is as average a person as they get... Save for the strange blue markings on her arms, legs, chest, and face. She is rather pretty, with a round face, soft eyes, and cheery smile that can brighten even the stormiest of days, and her hair is short and layered, poofing up under even the slightest hint of rain in the distance. She stands at about 5'3", weighing a mere 110 lbs, and as true to her weight she isn't exactly the strongest. She has trouble doing extreme exercise, and tires easily, much to Tidal's distress. When overexerted she is known to fall right asleep without a care in the world.

Her outfit is rather revealing, with a front-open poncho covering her top side and a long, pleated skirt covering her legs. Bandages bind her legs, arms, and chest, hiding the odd, swirling patterns that paint her skin, and she normally has a leather bag over her right arm which holds most of her food and water and anything else that needs to be protected. She rarely wears shoes, and she feels constricted by normal clothes.

Personality:
As true to her gentle appearance, Aleida is a warm and sweet person. She is naive and oblivious, often running headlong into danger without realizing it, much to Tidal's distress. Though air-headed, she is far from stupid, and when in a stressful situation she can be surprisingly logical, often looking deeper into the chaos to find a way out of the conflict. Her happy-go-lucky attitude is rather infectious, and she is almost never seen without a smile gracing her face. Though normally nice, if pushed too far it is possible to see another side of Aleida, a much harsher, stubborn side, though it does take a lot to really annoy the lax girl. Gentle and motherly, she loves to care for and look after people, finding a feeling completeness when she can be of help to someone.

Despite her child-like personality, Aleida can be rather intense, often showing a much more dark side when in danger. Though she dislikes hurting other people and Pokemon, there are times when she can lash out, baring her teeth with an animal-like hiss, but Tidal does well to snap her out of such a phase. She truly dislikes fighting, often finding ways to avoid conflict with her limited resources, but despite this she is extremely brave and stubborn, never backing down from a challenge, despite knowing she may not be able to win. She may be clumsy and naive, but she knows right from wrong, and can often explode and yell at people who may have a different view from her.

Thanks to her empathetic nature, she is rather good at bonding with Pokemon and people. There are times where Aleida believes she can hear the voices of the Pokemon around her, though it may just be her intuition and motherly nature telling her what the creature craves or how it feels. Her naivety is her biggest downfall, though, and she has gotten into a lot of trouble due to how easily trusting she can be.

Other than that, Aleida loves fishing, napping, and nature in its purest form. She has a strong interest in water type Pokemon, and loves to swim with Tidal whenever she can. Hopelessly dreamy, Aleida constantly gets lost in her daydreams, and is easily distracted by beautiful things. She is very self-conscious of her tattoos, and very, very forgetful. She can often be found walking in circles without realizing it, and can sleep for an entire day if not awoken by an outside source. Naturally introverted, Aleida can get very tired from talking to other beings, and often has to rest on her journey due to her weak body.

Biography:
Aleida does not remember her home town, her allegiance, or her family. It was a scorching day when she woke up in an unknown forest, that is the first thing she remembers. She was surrounded by trees and bushes, but where she lay was barren and cracked, a dead clearing in an otherwise lush environment. The sun was blaring down on her bare skin, burning the otherwise pale flesh, and everything ached, especially her head, and the second she was about to pass out again water suddenly poured drenched her. A cry of a Pokemon, a familiar sound, claimed her half-conscious attention, and at the sight of the Vaporeon that sat just next to her head she remembers smiling and whispering,

"Tidal-"

Before falling into darkness again.

Aleida was later found by a traveler and nursed back to health in a secluded cabin by a friendly family, and in this time she slowly began to realize how dire her situation was. She was in Phoenixis, an unknown nation to her, and she had a strong case of amnesia. The only thing she could truly remember was her first name, Aleida, and the Vaporeon that never left her side. Though generally confused and upset, she eventually left the family that helped her, feeling as if she were just a freeloader, and she began to wander. Walking across the landscape, she met many people and Pokemon, learning and relearning many things, and there are times when the blank spots in her mind would glow with familiarity, but they would soon vanish again as she was distracted by something.

Her journey is simple; find her past, and with the help of Tidal, Aleida truly believes she'll be able to find herself once more.
