Greetings, all! I am willing to run a Pathfinder game here, for those who are interested. I will accept a maximum of six players on a first-come-first-serve basis. Minimum number of players will be three.
We will be starting at level 1, to make things easier for anyone who is a new player (and me, since it's been a while since I've run a DnD game). Level-ups will be given based on completed missions instead of strictly by experience points, just to simplify things for everyone involved (mostly me).
Also to simplify things and to encourage player involvement in the process of making these missions, we will be using the Job Board system. After everyone has made their character, the players will each suggest a prompt for a job that one might see listed at a local Pathfinder-frequented tavern. After jobs have been posted, the players will vote on which one interests them the most. Then I, the DM, will come up with a mission based on that prompt for the players to complete. With that said, unless something occurs during a mission that might lead into an overarching plot, there won't be one. Your characters are people working for the Pathfinder Society to do good deeds in the world and make some gold while you're at it.
That being said, your character will not have to be of the "good" alignment. Even a character who leans more toward the "evil" side of things can be a Pathfinder. Their motivations just swing more toward the gold and the prestige of the Society than toward helping people. (I'm not restricting alignments for the group, but please play an alignment appropriate to your class.)
Information for character-generation and the general playing of the game can be conveniently found at Pathfinder SRD.
If your desired class isn't a Core Class, Base Class, or Alternate Class, please run it by me before starting to make the character. I might allow one of the third-party classes on the site. Some of them are quite powerful and I love them to death, but they could make things unbalanced. (I might have to make a few adjustments before approving such a class.)
Please either use Myth-Weavers to make your character sheet and post the link in the OOC topic (once I make it), or just list the info out. The online sheet is preferred for convenience, but if necessary, I can post a sheet skeleton for you to fill in.
All that being said, any takers?
OH! And before I forget, don't feel pressured to have to make a heal bot. If no one wants to take a class with healing capabilities, I will make an NPC to do that for you. I'm not looking to screw anyone over because playing a Cleric isn't as fun as a Barbarian or Rogue or whatever. (But hey, if you like heal bots, totally feel free to make one.)
