Basic Concept Recap

The story is simple and will take different paths depending on how characters develop so there is no very in-depth plot line at the moment, just an idea/ concept really. Project Freelancer is a Special Operations program created to study soldiers in order to win the war with a race of aliens that the humans are currently fighting. The main mission of Project Freelancer is to ensure the survival of humanity in a hostile galaxy. Each agent is assigned a code-name (state of America) and is equipped with special upgrades to the specialised Project Freelancer amour. However some of these functions, the more powerful ones that were put into higher ranked agents, were too advanced for the suits and humans who inhabited them and required the assistance of an A.I to calibrate and run correctly, which will be implemented later in the RP.

The RP will focus primarily around the agents of Project Freelancer, their missions and interactions with each other. Now, since there will be only X amount of A.I available there will only be limited spots I can take. You're welcome to play more than one character if you wish, there are 50 states after all, therefore 50 potential agents. However there are considerably less A.I so you can only play one or maybe 2 agents who gets them.

Okay, first off some quick notes/ rules
-1 paragraph minimum.
-I’m no nazi, but neat grammar and punctuation is appreciated.
-Some people may hate me here, but please write in 3rd person past tense. It just gets confusing and annoying otherwise.
-I don’t want everyone to try and play the ‘loner badass everyone is scared of them because they’re so good’. They’re kinda cliché and generally no fun to be around.
-Characters will spend most of the time in a bio-mechanical amour, save for recreational time when they are eating or sleeping but missions etc will all be carried out in amour. Please try to not copy other character’s amour colour.
-Amour creator can be found here (where you can save the image to your computer and upload them yourself):

-I reserve the right to request a change to amour advancement or advanced amour enhancement should I deem them too GM.
- Personal details like real name, history, eyes, hair etc can all be written IC as in an endeavour to ensure their agents safety none of this information will be kept on file, hence why the individual amour colour is important as it serves almost as their identity in here.
-A.I are named after letter of the Greek alphabet, please note that Alpha is not available:

Amour Enhancement: Promethean Vision/ Enhanced Motion Tracker- The Enhanced Motion Tracker outlines the user's enemies and allies in a thermal-like vision fashion and allows them to see through structures and walls.

Personality Assessment:
North is shown to be very calm and logical in battle indicating that he has the potential to be a top candidate for a leader position. However his kind and caring nature and training simulations state that he would place the safety of his fellow agents above that of his own or the mission and therefore cannot be considered for such a role. However his protective nature does have potential use if paired with agent South and should be taken advantage of.

Personality Analysis:
South’s gentle and compassionate nature, along with inexperience in the field makes her an unreliable agent at best. However, her skills with computers are virtually unmatched, making her a vital tool in most missions where intelligence must be gathered or virtual barriers are an issue. She has shown, time and again, an unwillingness to kill enemy soldiers even when presented with a life or death scenario, therefore a ‘guardian’ of sorts is required. Stealth is recommended.

Amour Enhancement: Threat analysis and response system (Allows him to see a enemy and figure out how best to approach him. Also assist in guiding him to weapons and or areas to where odds of success are greater, a system that levels the playing field and helps him respond to enemy combatants.)
Advanced Enhancement:
A.I: Lambda
Personality Assessment: A calm collected man, often seen fine tuning his personal Warthog. He seems to rather good with vehicles and things related to them however that would not be enough gain him a role here and thus he provides an additional service. He is very good at sizing up enemies and explain how best to deploy. However this does not make him the leader in simply gives him a shot at being one in the future. His major weakness is his soft heart, during a Op he was confronted by a child soldier, he attempted to talk the child down instead of shooting him as a result he was caught in blast of a grenade. This has yet to curve his soft heart as he then caught feeding orphans in a occupied area with his own rations. To sum it up a brilliant man who is to naive for his own good and has yet to show the strength needed to lead.

We'd have to ask others to not be south, it'd just get too confusing. That is if it's okay with you :)

Inquisitive and suspicious by nature, she is an agent we recommend keeping an eye on. This nature prevents her from forming exceptionally close bonds with most other agents due to differences on views, meaning she would be ill advised for a leadership or pinpoint role. Support role is recommended.

Personality Assessment:
Agent displays a gross disregard for personal safety, maintenance of equipment and tools, or even for surroundings outside mission parameters. This is, from what analysis can determine, from a deeply seated belief that failure only happens to others. Past events have shown the man more than wiling to go to any means necessary to execute a task, regardless whenever morality and ethics of other agents might give them pause. Otherwise, noted as amiable and approachable off duty, to a degree that might breed distrust in some more anti social agents. Not primary leadership material under any predictable circumstances, but just smart enough to be dangerous in such a position. Do not assign to solitary jobs unless no other options are viable, lack of self preservation and on the job morality too dangerous to be left alone.

Hey everyone, first IC post is up. Feel free to post whenever you want, I'm heading to bed now. I'll be keeping a record of all the posts on a word document, just in case something happens to them and if anyone needs to contact me in case of a guild-down feel free to email me at: [e-mail]

The ‘round 2 tests’ are going to be, simple things; shooting, an obstacle course, a stealth capture-the-flag mission, things like that. You’re more than welcome to include and exclude whatever tests you want in your post, including as many or as few as you like and even make up your own but everyone will do the same tests in theory, so even if you write that you only did shooting and obstacle they really did everything anyway.
After everyone has completed round 2, round 3 will consist of a simulation field mission where their speciality will be tested. The catch is the mission is impossible to pass no matter how well they do, though they don’t know this and is designed to test their reaction to stress, unpredicted failures and set-backs.

From there we’ll probably discuss OOC where we think people should be placed on the ‘leader board’ and we’ll discuss where to go from there :D

Yay the site is back up, I'm sorry for my short post before I would have done a much longer one but I had writers block and was having trouble finding a good direction to go with it. However I am glad to see how amazing the rest of the posts look. I promise mine will be longer in the future. Though I'm having trouble figuring out how to get Carolina to interact with the others from the test, perhaps they post up that we are being place together as a team now? Give us time to at least meet the people we will have to work with in round three?

I fixed the explanation on his armor ability, it's a system to help him respond to a problem based on all the data it gets. Basically it tells you the way to deal with stuff, the only problem is you can't always listen to it, it might say the best course of action is throw a grenade but you don't want to endanger the civilian but the suit does not care your orders don't involve protecting the civilian thus it is irrelevant whether they live or die.

Awesome, also don't worry about the post length. So long as the content is good quality and it's not like a one-liner you're fine :) I also think you had it the hardest because you had to post first so there was nothing to go off. I tried to create a little bit of an opportunity here for characters to interact with the whole getting food thing. Tomorrow will again be individual testing but once the whole leader-board thing is established there will be a lot more chance for interaction in training and just general activities. Most of the official missions they get put on will be teams anyway, since they'd require a range of specialised skills to complete but since there are so few of us it may involve playing a few NPC's.

Also, I forgot to mention this, but we're on a giant space ship.

Personality Assessment:
Iowa is an essential tool in any operation, his skills as a medic allow him to stabilise and heal team members, his skills are useful anywhere.His best weapon is his knife,although he can use his rifle well. As a medic he gets close to his squad as he can as he feels he needs to know if someone is feeling out, he feels that it is his responsibility to look after his squad. This becomes a problem as he puts his squad before himself. This comes from an incident when he was on patrol with the UNSC he was ambushed by terrorists and forced to watch his squad killed before him. In conclusion he is a good character, but he cares too much about about his squad.

Accepted, just remember though that the CS's in this are acting like a file that Project freelancer has on them, so if you write that he has PTSD in it, then they know. Other than that feel free to post away. I've got one ready to go but I'll let you post first :)
