Ha, boost some booze for Tsunade? We could do a mission with Gai and Lee maybe? Something simple enough to allow the younger folks tag along? I assume by now, Lee is just done recovering but still needing to get back into the swing of things. If the mission is simple, it would give them time to perhaps spar while traveling, while also doing the whole set up camp, make food etc? Or it could be an urgent mission but say...Ranked C-B? If most nin are busy, the four wouldn't be a bad choice.

Also kudos for using 'ninja' for plural, so many people tack on "s" for Japanese words when really plural and singular aren't distinctive. It annoys me to no end.

Yeah, but they don't find out until after they get it that that's what they were after haha. Well I'm also thinking of the interactions between the two. It's either Gai and Lee, with the former being super competitive with Kakashi and the latter who may or may not be getting over his crush with Sakura in order to become a stronger man like he promised he'd be when they next met. OR, Asuma and Ino. Asuma and Kakashi would be chill as hell, since Ino and Sakura's rivalry would bring out more than enough energy for the both of them. OR Kurenai-Kiba, but I don't favor it because Kurenai is boring as hell and I don't know if Kiba and Sakura would have any chemistry together like the other two. A mission would need to be urgent to send four peeps like that, but it comes down to personal preference. Would you want KakaSaku to have another pair accompany them, or stay alone?

KakaSaku can go alone or with Gai and Lee (I think Ino and Sakura are more friends than rivals atm but maybe when Sakura has more jutsu, they can spar for real again). I just figure with another pair, there wouldn't be as much dead space or anything. I think with KakaSaku, it could be low key but with the others, we would need a reason for them to tag along. We could always have KakaSaku go out alone on the mission and maybe run into Gai and Lee n the way back who are also doing a mission?

Well they can be both, it's just that they're frequently competing in many aspects that I figured it would be a funny dynamic to have at least once before things developed further between master and student, but no biggie. Kakashi and Sakura can tackle something by themselves and run into Gai and Lee on the way back for some sudden training opportunity. Now, the mission itself ...the world has a shaky peace but I think it's a little much for us to go changing the world this soon, especially since that's Naruto's thing and no one else's. Could be something as simple as taking care of a rogue ninja from the bingo book (like Zabuza) or dealing with some bandits harassing another town in the Land of Fire. Suggestions, comments?

The mission itself...a rouge ninja would be fun, though we could allude to things they may be doing. Maybe they're attacking farmers outside the village or are kidnapping folks? There should be some threat there I think. We'd deal with tracking him, as well as fighting him. Or we could deal with any stragglers still supporting Orochimaru in the outskirts of Konoha. Or maybe there's someone missing like a child in the woods?

Orochimaru's so fucking crazy I doubt anyone's supporting him near Konoha actually. Your idea on a missing child is good, so why not combine some of these. Let's say a rogue ninja is kidnapping children for Orochimaru to use in his experiments. Three birds with one good stone, eh? Of course we could only discover the Orochimaru detail later through dialogue with said rogue, but it would be a good opportunity for Sakura to acquire vital experience.

That sounds good to me. I should refresh the Chunin Exam and stuff. >_< Urgh it's been so long but it's good that we have a plan. Should I introduce it at the end of my post? Or skip to the next day and mention it? I assume the stuff between now and the mission would just be them practicing, not too much notable dialogue?

Hm, you could skip to the next day because I doubt their dialogue will be any different. Kakashi's said plenty of what he's needed to say, its a matter of getting Sakura where she needs to be as a shinobi now and I think the best thing we can do for her is give her some action to test herself. How about you fast forward us to the next day and we can have Kakashi grab her for this assignment. Tsunade may or may not approve of Sakura's involvement in this, and Kakashi can either vouch for her or join Tsunade in agreeing that Sakura can handle this, especially since it's in their territory specifically. What do you think?

I think Tsunade would approve of Sakura tagging along. She is showing more initiative and Kakashi is tagging along so I don't see too much cause for concern. Plus if the kid is hurt, Sakura does know basic healing if it's needed. I think he might agree that she should be fine going. Does that make sense?

I think anything will work at this point hehe. It's all going towards their bond being strengthened, and this is a great opportunity to build trust between them. After what happened with Zabuza I'm pretty sure he's going to work extra hard to keep her out of harms way, but this also serves as another defining moment for Sakura to prove that she can really become someone amazing and dependable. Everyone gets to win.

I think Sakura will want to surely prove herself and redeem what did happen with Zabuza, even if she was just starting out like Naruto and Sasuke. I think she'll want to do Konoha her proud, not just herself. After what happened after all, I am sure the morale around the village is a bit shaky.

The goal is to not make it overwhelming, since if he's looking out for her too much it might make it seem like he doesn't trust her to defend herself.

Naruto was considered a deadlast and he inspired a lot of people to work harder, I'm sure Sakura is capable of doing the same, especially if Kakashi and herself become known as the 'clean-up crew' xD

SO MUCH TO DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
