Kalinda immersed herself in the cooking and baking, something she had always enjoyed but never got to play around with on the streets. When Tori came out, no doubt lured out by the scent of the cookies, she was just about done, taking them out the oven, as she turned the stove top down to shimmer the stir fry there.
"You're making cookies" Tori said "You never make cookies. Why are you making cookies?" Tori reached for one, only to have her hand smacked back by Kalinda.
"They're hot. I'm making them because I felt like it. I'm making them because they are a good way of mending bridges, or starting to. You may have one. After dinner. And the rest are going away, for tomorrow" Kalinda said sternly, setting two aside and putting the others in a container.
Tori eyed the cookies, but didn't take one. Yet.
