Ivory stepped out of her room clutching her teddy bear. Her light brown pigtails swung around her as she walked towards the cafeteria right as the bell rang out signaling for the kids to go to lunch.

Sunny started at the sudden racket, the screwdriver phasing out of his hand and clattering to the floor with a clang. Before the interruption, he'd been working on fixing some old-fangled contraption that spun black disks around a spike--he believed it to be some primitive sort of sound-playing device, and when he'd procured the thing he'd also obtained a few of the disks from his parents. It was a sort of going-away present. He'd had to phase it to sneak it in, and it was sort of a bother to hide, but he supposed it kept his mind off the situation. Gently laying the machine on the floor and sliding it under his bed along with his tools, the teenager's thoughts drifted towards his last meal, and his stomach grumbled. It couldn't hurt to try the sixth floor's food...unless it was poisoned. On that note, he made his way out the door and through the halls.

As Andrew Mallory entered the dining hall, he frowned. He saw two little kids pass him, probably only half his age. Friggin locked in with a bunch of midgets. He hated this damn situation so much. Locked away with a bunch of freaks and children, as well as freakish children. Sighing, he took a seat at one of the tables on the far side of the room from the entrance. After all, he couldn't eat just yet. His damn hands were made of metal, and he had very little control over them. Each one was twice as large as a regular human's arm, and they were much thicker too. Not only that, but they had more joints that a humans arms. He was capable of folding his arm in two places, not just one. Although the could extend out to a great length, both mechanical arms were tucked in to make them appear more normal. He remembered what they called him. "Arms" or something, because of the accursed hulks of metal were his arms should be. The very sight of them caused him to scowl, and his anger was almost palpable. A very good deterrent to anyone thinking of sitting near him. And if that didn't keep them away, he'd threaten them. After all, because such freaks existed, he had been locked up. Sure, he was one of them, but he still hated them. Then again, he hated pretty much everyone. He hated the freaks for being abnormal, and he hated everyone else for locking him away. ((Hopefully not awful))

As the bell loudly chimed, signaling for lunch, Destruction can't help but jerk her head up and widen her eyes in alarm. The floating things in her room dropped back down to the floor when she lost her concentration, causing loud thuds and clatters. She sighed, turning her attention back to them. After standing up from her cross-legged position on the floor of her room, she opened the door leading outside, then proceeded out, heading for the dining hall.

Ivory took a seat in the corner of a room, sitting her teddy bear on the table, leaning against the wall next to the table. She took a small breath. One year now... She thought closing her eyes.

When the hallway let out into the cafeteria, Sunny slowed down a bit. He hoped they'd let him out soon, he didn't think he was going to like eating in the big, unfamiliar place by his lonesome. So when he noticed the little girl in the corner, he shuffled over and tapped the table a few times to get her attention. Couldn't hurt to make friends, right? And with any luck, she might be able to read or use sign language.

Ivory lifted her eyes to the boy. "You can sit here! June and I won't mind!" She said gesturing to her bear which came to life and shuffled down to the boy and waved it's stuffed paw.

As the others started to talk, Arms absentmindedly tapped his fingers on the table. He hated being bored, and he hated his arms. If they weren't large and made of metal at the moment, he'd at least be able to eat. But alas, the universe hated him, and he hated it right back. His expression soured even more as he saw the food. Damn he was hungry.

Ivory looked at the boy at the end of the table and got up, picking up June and walking over to him. "Hi! I'm Ivory. And my bear's name is June." She said smiling, trying to make a friend.

As Destruction entered the crowded dining room, she wondered about where to sit. The place was pretty much packed, and only a few seats were available. It's only been a month since she came here, so she didn't know many people, and has only seen a few. Thus it was just her luck when she saw an empty seat beside someone she had exchanged few words with before, that dark haired boy. Walking over to him, she pointed at the seat. "Hello. Mind if I sit here? Uhm, Sunny, was it?" She greeted him.
