It didn't take long for at least one of the vacancies to be filled. Shortly after losing members the Outsiders team began searching for new members. While several before had a lot of potential in their power base it may have been an oversight given the mix of personalities. There were many prospects, but to maintain the distance from the other superhero groups they needed to select others that had not been approached by the aforementioned. One of those prospects was a young woman by the name of Ashley Hendrick. Despite looking young for her age she was just starting to make her mark as a hero. But just as important was that she had no negative record. Her schoolwork was in order and there was every indication of a team player from what could be found.

Only on the team a week Ashley, or Domini as her alias is known, had very little time to train with the team. There were a couple sparing matches but they weren't anything super stressful. Figuring it was a formality to see if she could hold her own without powers the woman awaited a trial run or mission. It never came. Instead they were going to the heart of the matter. The League of Shadows was a revelation. The briefing was a very serious time and it did put the rookie in a tough situation. Strapped in for the ride Domini looked at her teammates. How would they all work together? Deciding to break the silence she spoke up. "So, what is the plan for this. I know where we're going but you guys have done stuff like this before right?"

Thorn was not amused in the least. While the Fenrir had indeed separated the chaff from the wheat, or at least most of it, they had now flown off to a mission against the League of Shadows with two new recruits in tow. In the past few weeks, Thorn had been honing his own body, learning how to shape it, and adapt it. Sitting beside Fenrir in the cockpit of the team's repaired cruiser, Thorn had managed to return his body to the actual human appearance that Valentine had once had. His skin was green still, filled with small vein like vines beneath the surface and long locks of grass like hair. Bark like armor covered him for modesty as he tried to appear human for time being.

Raising a simulated eyebrow at the question of whether the team had done missions like this one before, a low chuckle escaped his body.
"We've done one mission and it was a disaster. Thankfully the Boss is wearing his helmet today so it should go better than last time." Thorn muttered as a smile creased the leaf like texture of his face. "That said provided there's no fire involved, anything is better than last time."

Turning back towards the cockpit, Thorn spoke towards Fenrir. "Fenrir, what exactly are we looking at going up against?"

The last few weeks had been kind to the young beast. The down time allowed Belle to regain her confidence in her ability and her place in the team, although a nagging thought still plagued her that maybe she was just being babysat. And after some quality time with the remaining members of the Outsiders Belle was back to her bouncy and excitable self. She attended training with Fenrir nearly everyday, as she soon found being in his presence kept her calm enough to keep from changing, and even found the time to meditate with Twilight every so often, although she rarely could sit still for long periods of time. She also convinced Thorn to play video games with her.

Watching several members of the team be cut worried Belle. She knew that Fenrir couldn't technically kick her out, as her almost legal guardian he had to keep her around. She also rather liked the two new members, both of them seemed friendly to her. But she was still worried she wouldn't be invited along to the next mission. Any sort of worry left her as they boarded the cruiser, a grim reminder that she ruined the interior of the old one.

Belle took her seat with Thorn and Fenrir, sitting in the copilots seat. But her trip wasn't spent copiloting, she had her face pressed against the window looking down at the ocean below. And she bellowed out every time she thought she saw a whale or a mermaid.

The last few weeks have been something of a trial for Juno Hoshi. For her part she thought she had handled the situation as well as she could have, but that didn't matter. The truth was not as important as what people thought. And what the team thought was that she had let her rivalry with Warpath get the better of her. As if she would even consider Adam to be a credible rival! But she had to admit that they might have been right. She had slipped up. Too much power in too little a time, she had lost control for just a moment and Madcap had been hurt badly. Not that Madcap didn't deserve some injuries but not like that. Fenrir had cut more than half the team and now they were saddled with newbies. And if she slipped up like this again she might be next on the chopping block and then this team was well and truly fucked. The majority of the cruiser's repairs were her doing however, being a walking tool box with technical expertise did the trick.

She had to do better. No more games, time to get down to business. Juno had thrown herself into training her powers within the two weeks, creating more numerous and more complex constructs and seeing just how much energy she could project. Every day she was exhausted but she felt her training pay off little by little. It became just a bit easier every time to shape a construct, using a bit less energy, getting a bit more out of it, and keeping a bit more in reserve. She was slowly becoming more economical with her power. In fact she felt stronger now too. She had spent her childhood building up her power level and reining it in but Juno was not a person who believed there was no more room for improvement.

Now she was here on their second mission, hoping this would go much better than the first. By rights she should be co-pilot with Fenrir but he was likely still pissed at her. She would've made a better pilot but right now she needed to keep her head down. Juno created a light knife in her hand before dispelling it. She had trained in martial arts since she was a girl but the League of Shadows was made up of fighters more than her equal, it was a good thing she could fire lasers. She hadn't yet heard of someone dodging an energy lance moving at the speed of light.

She did however have reservations about this, "Nanda Parbat? Didn't a bunch of capes train there? Like Q and Crimson Avenger? How'd the League of Assholes get it?"

Adam knew that they were in trouble even before Fenrir spoke to them and decided to take the Wolfman's criticism with a very calm demeanor. Warpath's knowledge of philosophy and warfare told him that he had gone a little overboard with winning. Almost every military genius knew when to retreat and cut their loses, but he had wanted to win very badly to the point where he became reckless. Warpath didn't expect Poltergeist to go too far with his attack, and Stalwart was unable to break free of Quantum's gravity, which was too bad since he had hoped the hero was up to the task, but it looked like he was out of the Outsiders. It seemed Stalwart so far was the only member that seemed to like him.

They had gotten some new members, which was good since some new recruits could bring something interesting to the table. Ashley Hendrick was one who had great potential and he wanted to help her if she would be fine with it. He himself had been pushing himself even harder than ever when the training session had gone bad, he was focusing on increasing both his energy, mental and phsycal capabilities as much as possible, he was trained by the military and knew better than to question about having limitations.

After a few weeks Fenrir had informed them that they would be going on a mission to combat the infamous League of Shadows, an organization known for horrible acts of terrorism. Before joining the outsiders Warpath had a couple of violent encounters with the league and they were incredibly formidable. What bothered Adam the most was Fenrir seemingly brushing off their questions about the mission, he never liked going in blindly on a mission.

Regardless he wasn't going to question his leader's words about times having changed even though Adam had read enough history to know that words like those could have dark meanings behind them. When he heard Fenrir ask if they had anymore questions Warpath remained silent and rolled his eyes when Twilight opened her mouth. He would never let her become his superior she would rub it in his face and no leader should have those qualities. Warpath hoped that he would get a chance to do some hand to hand combat during this mission since he hadn't really gotten a chance to yet. He was a master of over a hundred different martial arts.

Domini was the first to break the silence, perhaps an outlet for nerves. As far as her record was concerned she was technically proficient, but she had never dealt with anything as momentous as what the Outsiders were about to undertake. Too Fenrir's knowledge this would be her first time dealing with anything more serious than purse snatching or muggings. He needed every hand on deck for this battle, otherwise he may have left the new blood behind.

"I have dealt with the League before." He replied cagily. That was long before the Outsiders had been formed though, while he was still with Young Justice in fact. The only other person here to have dealt with the Shadow's was Warpath. He was a shade embarrassed to admit that the team had never dealt with a situation of this gravity, other than their battle with the Royal Flush Gang. Unfortunately Thorn held no such restrictions, revealing to the newcomers the teams decided lack of experience. He then went on to ask what the team would be running into, another question that Fenrir had no answers for. He hesitated for a moment, before revealing his ignorance.

"I don't know. Reports indicate each assassin is a well trained combatant, though they utilize stealth and distraction as much as they do brute force. They prefer archaic weaponry to conventional firearms, though aren't opposed to using guns if the situation warrants it. When I dealt with them they poisoned their weaponry, but whether that is a common practice or one they employed to negate my healing factor, I cannot say. No one is sure of their numbers. They are lead by a man named Ra's Al Ghul, a persistent foe of Batman's, said to be centuries old and one of the most deadly martial artists on the planet. Guarding him are the Seven Men of Death, seven assassins of nigh un-matched skills. Merlyn the Archer is said to lead them now." He paused uncomfortably before adding "And I have reason to believe they have meta-humans amongst their ranks."

"Nanda Parbat? Didn't a bunch of capes train there? Like Q and Crimson Avenger? How'd the League of Assholes get it?" Twilight had been quiet since the training mission. Mulling over her supposed failings perhaps. The outcome had been that she'd thrown herself into her training with an incredible gusto, her focus and determination really something to behold. Tonight would be the proof of how useful it had been.

"The current Q hasn't trained anywhere," Grunted Fenrir. The latest Question, Charles Ditko, was Fenrir's apprentice on Young Justice. Fenrir had recruited him after becoming aware of the boys prodigious detective talents. It had been Question who had located the location of Nanda Parbat for him. Magnus could have asked someone who had been their in the past, like Batman, but that would have revealed his intentions and he was trying to keep this mission from the Justice League. "And they got it the same way they get everything else. With strength, cunning and deception."

The Cruiser was deep in the Himalaya's now, lost amongst the sharp peaks. Fenrir's kept the VTOL close to the ground, all the better to avoid any radar detection. The League of Shadows may have a preference for swords and arrows, but that didn't make them stupid. They began to climb steadily to clear the next range. No sooner had they done that than they were subjected to a scene of exquisite beauty and wonder. Nanda Parbat seemed to be a place time had forgotten, leaping straight from the pages of eastern story books where magic still ruled and man was yet to pollute the world with the skill he did now.

"If anyone has any last questions, now is the time." Called Fenrir, trying and failing to keep the amazement from his voice.

She'd spent the trip without making so much as the smallest noise, which, if the team had known her better, they would have found it very unsettling.

Lonnie Lewis, a.k.a. Moxy, sat near the back of the cruiser, seemingly un-phased by the weight of what they were about to undertake as she leaned back in her chair, arms behind her head and smug smirk clear on her phase. Yet, as relaxed as she seemed, one part of her body, her left foot, would not stay still, and throughout the journey, it had kept rhythmetically tapping against the floor of the cruiser. It was the only sign of her building impatience.

Aside from what Fenrir - her new leader, though she wasn't sure yet whether he was worth respecting - had told them during the briefing, Moxy didn't really know all that much about the League of Shadows, but really, she didn't need to. All she needed was to know that these guys were bad, that they were the enemy and had done horrible things. Then all Fenrir needed to do was point her in the direction of the Shadows, and she was all set to kick some ass. Piece of cake.

The rest of the team didn't seem to view it that way though, but to Moxy, they were all boring adults with no imagination. During this first week with them, she hadn't really spoken to any of them aside from Fenrir, keeping her distance while she tried to gauge what kind of people they were and whether it was even worth staying on the team with them. The only team member that she sort of liked was Belle Jone, a.k.a. Beast, because really, who couldn't love a little kid who was willing to take on super-villains without the slightest hesitation? Still, Moxy hadn't even tried to strike up a friendship with Belle, not yet. Not until she was certain that this team was in her best interest.

As they came closed to their destination, Moxy gazed out the window, paying little attention to the conversations of her teammates. She didn't even pay much attention to when Fenrir started explaining more about their enemy, or when he pointed out they were nearly there.

In Lonnie Lewis' mind, this battle was already won before it began.

It must of been what? A week? maybe less. Since Sofia had become a part of the Outsiders, how the heck Fenrir got to pick her for his team was beyond her, But at least now she was not on the run and had some what of a home. She spent the week settling into her new room, Making it how she liked it but had not unpacked everything. Instead she mostly spent the time reading files and reports on the team, previous mission and the training chaos, To say the least she was not impressed given the mix match going on with this mixture of Meta's, However Sofia was not much or used to being a team player given her history and probably would not of fair better in the training herself. The other part of the week was spent in the gym, keeping active and sorting out her gear and equipment, She never really spoke much but when she did it was always a bit blunt but always honest in her opinion.

One of those Opinions Sofia had brought forward was the little one. Belle. The youngest member of the team at ten years old, Sofia felt it was no place to have the younger, The league of shadows was something entirely different and despite her power, she was simply undisciplined and uncontrolled. The report proved this when she wrecked the 'Cruiser' in the last mission because she was kept back for her own safety. It probably did not get her any popularity but it was simply Sofia being right, The League of shadows could do a lot of damage to the elder members of the group let alone a child. Prior to departure Sofia suited up, doubled check her equipment was in working order and secured her armour onto said suit, it fitted like a glove.

On the journey over it was a quiet ride, Everyone was doing there own thing before the silence was broken. Sofia on the other hand was reading up on league of shadows files that were available to the Outsiders, This was not going to be an easy mission by any stretch of the imagination and while Sofia may be good in hand to hand, These people were better, The best so she would need to mix her abilities with her powers and hope it will level the playing field on her opponent or opponents, Considering they'll be no doubt out numbered. She listened carefully to the questions being asked and the answers that were given from their leader, The reports alone made it quite clear what they were up against and simply walking through the front door was not a smart move.

When they had come across the place or beauty before them out the window, It gave Veracruz time to pause for a moment and take in the view, Prying her eyes away from her reading and listening. words could not describe the wonder although it be be cool if the Outsiders had a place like this. Taking her left leg of her right where it was resting, The telekinetic adjusted herself in the seat when Fenrir ask about any last questions. " What about our point of entry? " She said looking down at the file once more before looking up at the team. " And once inside what do you really plan to do? We can't bring to much attention to ourselves to quickly otherwise we'll be overwhelmed in minutes, we need to take full advantage of the element of surprise" She knew they couldn't just simply knock on the front and start pelting everything in sight, the last mission proved that was no a good idea, this had to be a more controlled mission if such a thing was possible.

Quantum had spent the last few weeks doing little but exercising, training and drinking, as usual. He kept himself away from the others and had avoided talking to anyone these last few weeks. It was not because he didn't like the others, but because he felt no need to. He didn't like what he had done during the training exercise. How he had gone tunnel visioned and acted without thinking about his team. Had it been a warzone that is what would have gotten his team killed.

While he had yet to get to know the Outsiders like he had known his Unit he still couldn't risk someone's life simply because he couldn't control his temper. He had spent the morning cleaning his gun and making sure it was in prime condition. He had spent some time working on new tricks for his powers on how to use it in smaller amounts and in synergy with his pistol. Tricks that would come in handy in today's mission, no doubt.

Marcus had gotten onto the cruiser that had been fixed up by Twilight, it now looked quite all right. He sat in the middle row of the seats in the cruiser not really thinking about the mission, he was instead reviewing every scene of one of his favorite movies, The Departed. While drinking the bottle of Jack Daniels he had in his hand. His hair was a mess and his stubble had gotten into a rough beard over the weeks he had isolated himself from the others. His face had dried blood on it and was overall rather dirty. His eyes were sunk in and had dark lines under them both from him being hungover and from him being tired.

Had his S.O seen him he would've compared Marcus' appearance to hammered crap. He himself did not mind how he looked, he had other priorities. As he finished his thoughts about the movie he put his attention to Fenrir whom was not talking, asking if they had any questions. One of the new recruits Marcus had yet to learn the name off asked questions, and Marcus added to them. "Do we in all honesty even have a plan? Teamwork ain't our strong suit." Marcus mentioned, knowing full well the hypocrisy of what he had said given his previous actions in the team.

Things weren't looking particularly great for their group. Information provided to them thus war was sparse at best. At least she'd read up on her teammates, that would help work out a little strategy. Even still her optimism shone through despite it all. "I'm sure we'll do alright. We have a good spread of abilities just as long as we can keep on the same page." Speaking of which their leader still had not said anything about why they were going after the League of Shadows or whey they hoped to achieve be making a move against them.

Her next statement had a slightly more pointed tone. "It would be nice to know what we're trying to accomplish though. Are we here to strike a blow, recover something, just for show?" For being largely untried she at least showed some sign of tactical thought. Not everything was guns ablazing which would probably keep her alive if things didn't completely hit the fan. It was unlikely Domini was the only one that wanted clarification either. Looking at her team she tried to gauge their reactions to her query.

Veracruz asked about their point of entry, a valid query as the team were spoiled for choice. There were dozens, maybe hundreds, of entry points to the temple, but none of them seemed to stand out any more than the others. Fenrir picked one at random, a grassy field that led to one of the long bridges into the temple, trying to surreptitiously make it look like he hadn't just picked it at random. Better the team thought he had actually planned all this in advance.

"There. I'll swoop in low to the plain whereupon Princess Beast, Thorn, Warpath, Moxy, Veracruz and myself will embark while the cruiser is still in motion. Twilight will take the helm, and she, Quantum and Domini will fly to the other side of the temple and make a diversionary attack, dragging all attention from us. We'll use the chaos to sneak into the temple and take Ra's prisoner, hopefully before anyone is any the wiser that the real attack isn't coming from the cruiser. We'll stay in radio contact at all times, and when we're ready to evacuate Twilight will break off the diversionary attack and be ready to pick us up. When the League realize we have the Demon's Head then they will have no choice but to back off. They know me, know my work, and know I wont hesitate to slit Ra's throat if I have to."

It was a simple plan, simple plans quite often being the best in Fenrir's experience. Far less to go wrong. Of course it all relied on the League taking the bait that team on the cruiser would be giving them. That's why he had set two of his heaviest hitters there, to really grab the Leagues attention. Quantum and Twilight could make a lot of noise between them, and though she hadn't been tested yet reports showed that Domini could pull her weight as well. Ra's would be forced to send much of his forces to oppose them. Even if he did leave guards in Fenrir's team's path it would only be a skeletal force.

He was just bringing the cruiser in for its approach to the drop zone when Domini asked what was the point of this attack. A dozen answers leaped into Fenrir's mind, some of them truthful, most of them not. He didn't want to have to explain himself here, not to some green recruit. Especially not when the real reason they were here was so selfish and self serving.

In the end he decided upon aggressively ignoring the question.

"You're here because I say so, your time for questioning that has long passed" He snarled towards the alien hybrid. If she had anything else to say on the matter then she had missed her chance, the drop-zone coming upon them quickly. Fenrir's fingers tapped at the keys in front of him, the cruiser's drop ramp folding open. "Now team, embark!" With that the team picked to infiltrate the temple evacuated the cruiser quickly and efficiently, Twilight taking the helm as soon as Fenrir left his seat and flying the cruiser to the opposite side of the temple to begin their attack.

Fenrir crouched upon the grassy plain with the remnants of his team, waiting patiently for the first sign of the cruisers attacks. When it finally came he lead the Outsiders down the stone bridge into the old temple. From here he could see much of the luster upon Nanda Parbat didn't stand up under closer inspection. The stonework was crumbling, old statues covered in dust and cobwebs, moss and ivy clinging to just about every surface moss or ivy can cling too. Like all things, nature eventually reclaims that which man has wrought.

They delved into the darkness of the temple, the wolfman's nose twitching, searching for any sign of their foes. He got nothing, but that meant very little when dealing with the League. He had learnt first hand just how well they were at avoiding detection. He allowed his team mates a few moments for their eyes to grow accustomed to the gloom before moving them on.

"Stay close to me and Thorn," He muttered to Belle. The girls training was coming on in leaps and bounds, her control of her bestial form becoming more impressive by the day, but she seemed to have a better grasp of it when physically close to those she was emotionally close with. The decision to keep her close to him was one born of a desire to protect the team from Belle as it was one to protect Belle from the League.

Deeper and deeper they delved into the twisting, labyrinthine corridors, with still no sign of their enemy. Eventually they came to a large atrium, ceiling so high he could hardly discern it's shadowy roof. A tiered balcony hugged the edges of the wall, pillars spaced evenly along its length. There were three doorways to the atrium on this level, including the one they had entered. Fenrir was in the process of deciding whether he should split the team or not when he heard a soft padding from the balconies above. His head jerked up and he knew they had walked into an ambush.

"Outsiders, beware!" He roared as dozens of League assassins dropped all around them, each armed and ready for blood. Shuriken flew from all directions.

Fenrir leapt to meet the assassins, his own combat knife flashing in the gloom as he move with furious sped to meet the attacks of two of the assassins.

Elsewhere the Cruiser was meeting stiff resistance. Despite their dislike from modern weaponry the Leagues assassins were using rifles and RPG's to try and blow the Cruiser out of the skies. Screeching could be heard as a squadron of man-bat commandos leapt from the crumbling towers to hurtle towards the flying craft.

They were about to go into battle against a foe that specialized in killing. Fenrir's reaction was not the one Domini hoped for and hearing it took her breath away. Sure she looked quite young for her age but she didn't expect to be treated like a child. It gave her pause for a moment as she wondered where it all broke down with those before her. But now was not the time to dissent, she would have to save the lecture for later. They were already too far into this to back out now. Either Fenrir didn't know why they were there or didn't feel like sharing. Neither of those two would bode well in the long run.

With a plan in place the alien got ready. Since they were the bait so to speak things were going to get rough very quickly. Landing briefly they dropped off the first part of the team and Twilight took over piloting. That was good because she herself had no experience with such a thing and from speaking with the girl she appeared to have done it before. As they swung around it didn't take long before they were spotted. And that detail was made clear as the Cruiser began to get pelted by bullets. Glancing at the window she spotted an RPG being lifted toward them. "Hang on, we've got incoming rockets!"

Not much time the hybrid unbuckled herself and ran for the back of the cruiser and opened a hatch. By now the projectile was already in flight. Hands flashing a a deep purple she let loose a psionic blast. Thankfully not limited by physical resistance it met its target in seconds and exploded mid air. Having pretty much taken point she began returning fire and picking off anyone and anything she could. Getting shot out of the air was not high on her list of things to do in her lifetime.

Of course the growing sound was hard to understand before the man-bats swooped into view. Great, so it wasn't just the targets on the ground they had to worry about. While she was distracted the flurry of fire headed straight for her but were blocked by a force field of some kind. She had no idea the cruiser was equipped with such a thing. With that in mind she continued with her attack.

Warpath was glad that he was included in main infiltration, but he kept a neutral look on his face. Adam wanted to see how his teammates did without his help and gauge their competence in the field. After the whole mess with training Warpath wasn't as desperate to be leader since he felt that it just created a split between the team with his and Twilight's rivalry. He was a soldier as well as a leader so for now he would listen and follow the orders that Fenrir gave him.

Warpath felt a bit of annoyance when Fenrir snapped at the new recruit Domini, but he remained silent. More angry words were just what they needed, he thought sarcastically to himself. They soon came to the drop zone and Adam disembarked with the rest of his teammates from the aircraft. He looked around at his surroundings and his eyes focused on the temple. His intuition told him that this was their entrance into the lair of the League of Shadows and he followed Fenrir and the others into the temple.

It was dark, but his enhanced vision made it easier for him to adjust to the low level of light in the overgrown structure. Warpath felt almost exposed going into a place he didn't have any knowledge about, they were on the League's territory and thus had the advantage in knowing the environment. Eventually they came to an atrium and Adam was impressed by the size of it. He was looking for any signs of their enemies when his excellent hearing picked up on noises that sounded almost like footsteps. Adam was about to say something when Fenrir spoke before him.

A dozen assassins dropped down from above them and Warpath created two European style arming-swords, which he held in both of his hands. The assassins sent a hailstorm of Shuriken came at them. Swinging his blades in rapid succession Adam was able to deflected a good number of them and took evasive action to try and dodge the rest. Warpath would then leap towards an assassin and try to slash them across his chest with his energy blades.

Twilight had a bad feeling about this. Their fearless leader was more brusque than usual, which was quite an accomplishment. Juno got the distinct impression there was a lot that he wasn't telling them, especially exactly why they were here in the first place. Ra'as al Ghul was one of the most dangerous people alive, an op like this would usually take weeks of planning and preparation and that was with a proven and experienced team, not a collection of misfits. They were not even a month away from their first disaster as a team and they were working with three new bloods. No intel, no support, and next to no plan. She doubted very much that Batman would let them do this. As her brother might have said, there was a disturbance in the force. Juno fought down the first bite of anxiety and scolded herself. She'd wrench out the truth from Fenris later, no need to undermine his authority in front of the newbies. Especially since he'd just started to trust her with her own squad.

At least it was a good idea to put Twilight with Quantum. They were the two heavy-weights on the team, together they could give the League a swift and hard kick in the pants. She wasn't as sure about Domini, but she looked marginally useful. Twilight took time to admire the grandeur of the temple as the team disembarked. Juno felt apprehensive seeing Belle leave, but obviously keeping her penned up did no good. And Juno was definitely not spending two days fixing the cruiser two weeks after she just finished fixing it the first time. She was more than happy to see Warpath go though. He'd be of little use on their assignment and she really didn't want to be anywhere near him, and let their rivalry flare up again. Twilight steered the cruiser over to the other side of the temple, preparing her little surprise for the League.

She'd made quite a number of upgrades to the cruiser's systems, especially weapons and defense systems. One of them was the addition of a cargo bay to drop supplies and ordnance from. Including the two 6,000 pound JDAMs she snagged from some of her mom's military contacts. Juno did a flyby over the temple, the cruiser near silent thanks to her modifications to its propulsion systems. She took one more admiring look at the architecture before shrugging, "Oh well." She pressed the big red button and the bomb bay opened to drop the JDAM, "From me to you Ra'as." The bomb whistled through the air and then, the cruiser was rocked back by a huge shockwave as fire consumed a huge swath of the temple, raining down stone and rubble.

Distraction accomplished. Juno circled back around and let loose with the twin six-barreled miniguns firing HEIAP rounds. High Explosive/Incendiary/Armor Piercing rounds, they would penetrate through almost anything before exploding in a fiery blaze. It made short work of any League assassins tagged by them and even more sections of the temple were torn apart by the high-impact barrage. Periodically Juno fired a volley of smart missiles, which would separate into six child warheads before exploding as cluster bombs designed to do maximum structural damage. If this didn't catch their attention nothing would. Juno was oddly serene as she kept firing on the temple, paying little mind to the men and women who were dying by the swath. She had little sympathy for the trained killers and one less assassin alive was at least one more innocent who would be spared.

Pressing another button, the cruiser fired several canisters of smoke into the ruins, obscuring the view of anyone on the ground but allowing the cruiser's enhanced optics to cut through the smoke, all their enemies outlined in red. She began weaving the craft from side to side to dodge the rockets, deftly avoiding the wildly fired projectiles. Any that came close were either destroyed by the trophy system she installed or exploded against the upgraded energy shield. Juno began humming as she watched the temple go up in flames. Juno called out when Domini exited the ship without orders to do so. She sighed, another maverick of course, Juno swiveled the guns to tear up the men who shot at her. She also saw the man-bats and gestured to Quantum, "Get out there and give the newbie a hand. And take care of those man-bats."

She wanted to go out there, and the auto-pilot should be able to handle itself very well, but she would monitor the situation better from here. Quantum and Domini could handle it, she'd step in if she had to. So far so good on her end, but according she heard a lot of commotion on the other channel. Sounds like the team ran into some opposition. Hopefully they'd take Ra'as captive soon and bug out before they were hilariously outnumbered and outgunned. Juno flicked through the playlist she had downloaded and hit play, as the gunship fired another volley of ordnance from the grenade launchers, they landed on the ground and extended into minature speakers, blasting the song and adding to the confusion of smoke and explosions and screams. A display on her HUD was counting the number of downed enemies and it was steadily growing at a respectable pace. So far so good.
