I actually lived in Sheepshead Bay with some family, and being from a more southern state it was easy putting a VA native like Boom Boom in there. The U shaped building, the mostly Russian families, living across the Bay from a community college, and even trying to get a book deal was my life about a decade or so back. The changes I made to Northstar were mostly to make him more like myself. The part about him being a skier is also easy to write now with a close friend having moved out west to Colorado working in the kitchen at a ski resort. Separating Northstar and his sister was also something that wrote itself, but I wanted her to be his inspiration. I had a couple things I wanted to change for me, and then a couple things were used from his history in the comics, and everything else just poured out of me as I wrote it.

I figured if Alpha Flight tried showing up [if we took the fight across the boarder in the woodland areas] Wolverine might get to make a few jokes at Puck's expense. Wasn't sure if you were gonna have them as part of Logan's past, so I went with fighting a pack of Wendigos rather than the team itself. I didn't want to present them as being assholes if I didn't have to LOL

@The Kid Lantern I didn't really consider having Wolverine do anything with Alpha Flight while I was writing up his backstory.

@FacePunch Maybe he's heard of them then LOL. I didn't plan on using them really, but figured I'd throw it out there. Fighting a pack of Wendigos will be hard enough. The only members I mentioned in the CS were Aurora and 'Squatch so if anybody else wanted to use them it was still a pretty clean slate. With the timeline they would have formed around 2009.

If your boy's top speed is the speed of sound my guy's AT LEAST ten times faster. He couldn't stand next to Northstar long enough to be an annoyance, might as well be standing still LOL

@DrewVonAwesome I LOVE that you used the alias Jake Olsen for Thor. Right around the year 2000 was one of the only times I've thoroughly enjoyed a Thor title on a monthly basis, and that's where that was introduced. Surprised you didn't just call him his original alias, Donald Blake. Still, I'm enjoying what you're doing with the Odinson thus far.

...and I went ahead and made that Northstar post and set up the fight he'll be having with the three remaining members of the Wrecking Crew. In case anyone forgot, Thunderball was one of the first villains 3D Man defeated that turned out to be a shapeshifting Skrull impersonating the super smart member of the villainous team.

The idea was I'm not great with using the royal we in speech. So instead of having Thor speaking in that manner or something like that. I figured he would have spent a very long time hiding on Earth, so keep him relatively normal toned in his speech. But make him more a blue collar kind of guy to differentiate from Loki's high class and outsmarting.

And dude... YOU HAVE TO WATCH THE BIG LEBOWSKI. Honestly, it's in my top 5 favorite movies of all time along with films like the Breakfast Club. I watch it at least 3 or 4 times a year...
