[OOC] All-Star Marvel: Audax Mundus Novus - Season 1 (Completed)

Hey Everyone. Just dropping in to let you all know that I have not forgotten about this. I'll try to have something up as soon as possible.

Two other announcements. First, I am thinking about throwing up another interest check to recruit some new faces. It will not work like the last time (making a new thread) because we already have quite an established one going on now. Hopefully a couple (even two or three) more writers would help this out immensely.

Secondly, I am thinking about allowing unclaimed characters to be used as universal NPC's. How this would work is that a player would request that a certain character (unclaimed of course) should be made into an NPC. Then, as a group, we can collaborate on how that character should be interpreted in this roleplay (of course the person who requested it should have more say in the creation process). I remember a few pages ago we had a discussion about which characters can be NPC'd and which ones cannot. I swear someone said something along these lines of " we need to look out for the best interest of new players and the current ones" (Was it you, @The New Yorker?). While if I do this, it would be after we try to recruit some more players, but I have been considering this for the past few weeks.

Edit: There is only one remedy for there not being any IC posts in a while. Making one yourself!

It is a slippery slope. If we don't allow this, then it will be very restrictive for the current players because that would make certain characters flat out unavailable and make certain stories impossible to tell. We just want to find a balance that allows for us to give us the most tools to tell the stories that we want to tell and that allows for new players to make the characters that they want to make.

Backstory
Peak Human Form- Steven Rogers' enhanced body is that of peak physical and mental condition. He can run 100 meters in 9.5 seconds, lift 1000 pounds, and he is one of very few grandmasters of chess.
Healing Factor- Steven's enhanced body is capable of healing wounds twice as fast as the average human.
Hypnosis resistant- due to having such a strong mind, Steven is incapable of being hypnotized or mind controlled.
Cap's Shield- Steven possesses a vibranium soaked, titanium and diamond tipped circular shield that is capable of withstanding direct rocket attacks or even a quick fight with the Hulk.
Story Arcs-
1)- Thawed: After having saved the world from the likes of the Masters of Evil and being frozen for decades, Rogers finds himself in our time and being helped to acclimate by SHIELD, only something is very wrong with the Super Soldier... all those years spent frozen has fractured his mind. His unwillingness to die alone creates a new personality that calls itself The Red Skull. With Steven now free, so is The Red Skull, who begins tearing apart everything that Steven had given his life for. Can Steven stop himself?
2)- Captain America, Terrorist, Traitor, and Timebomb: With great willpower comes the great fight. Managing to fight off the influence of The Red Skull before he goes through with his ultimate plan, having to go on the run through the countryside and along the way he learns about the present America.
3)- Red, White, and Orange is the new Black: after being on the run for awhile, and coming to terms that he will never be free of The Red Skull's influence, Steven returns to SHIELD to surrender, and they place him in a super max prison facility. Will he survive?

@thatguy Also, one other thing. For first time players in this RP, I would prefer if you would make your character a hero or a walking-the-line affiliation I just want to be fair to the other writers. However, if you were to change Cap's affiliation to w-t-l, I would allow it to slide.

Almost didn't catch this because the app was for Captain America.

Edit: Also, I need to go through the other players' character sheets just to make sure nothing contradicts so far (which I think is unlikely). The only thing I can think of right now is that @The New Yorker was planning on submitting an application for Baron Zemo (I think...or was it von Strucker?).

I really like the thematic confluence of the CS, thatguy. Like the American style titles for his arcs. But, and this may be overstepping some bounds here (so tell me if I do), there should probably be a colon somewhere in that second title. Dramatic punctuation is the American way! XD

I'll begin writing my DD post tomorrow. It's mostly just because of the overwhelming inspiration which has been stewing in me since I finished season 1 of the Netflix series. If, however, a post from someone else goes up in the near future, I'd happily post it.
