Well... (and if anyone else wants to jump in, feel free to do so)

-The proto-Avengers are having a training session.
-Spider-Man and the X-Men stopped Herbert Landon from testing his experimental drug on Firestar and Nightcrawler (if you seen the Spider-Man/X-Men 90's crossover tv episode, then you already know the basic gist of this).
-Hawkeye and Mockingbird are fighting Wonderman, who had just received his powers from MODOK and AIM.
-Fantastic Four introduced to the world by Tony Stark (I think..[@Drewvonawesome)

I have been thinking about this for a bit since it was announced that the Create-A-Hero RPG (the sister roleplay of this game) was going to transition into Season 2, but how does everyone feel about transitioning to season 2? For those who don't know what a "Season 2" is for this type of game, I'll describe it.

What it's about:
- Finish up storylines in this roleplay.
- Start up a new thread, labelled "All-Star Marvel: Audax Mundus Novus - Season 2
- 1 month time jump

Why we should do it
- Easy jump on point for new players.
- ~300 IC / ~3000 OOC might be intimidating for new players (we are probably one of the top 5 largest and longest lasting roleplays in the Advanced Forums)
- Clean up the Character Tab of sheets that are no longer being used.
- Provides opportunities for new storylines
- Don't have to keep explaining what has been happening, at least at the beginning.

So, let me know what you all think. :) We could also discuss what we want to add to the OP's timeline from this season.

Personally i'm all for this. I think it could work quite nicely, especially with the Avengers having just got together.

While it does make things a bit different for wrapping up my current Boomerang arc since i had a lot planned, i have a few ideas as to how i can end it sooner, and just leave the huge heist i had planned until Season 2.

EDIT; that being said, a season 2 might be bothersome to the most recent players so I can understand if many of them aren't happy, as they'd only be possibly posting a few times before the new thread is made!

I'm fine with it. If season two would be happening soon, I might just wait until then to introduce Union Jack and kick off his first plot arc with @Sep.

If we do do Season 2, should I wait for season 2 to begin my introductory arc, or perhaps start it and if there is enough time quickly finish it on this season (if there is enough time)

@Inuyasha: Before I can give a concrete answer, I need to here from the others about how long they will need to tie up their story lines, particularly the Avengers.

I probably only need 1-2 posts for Hawkeye (one of which I hope to get up tonight), 2 posts for Ms. Marvel, and 1 for Spider-Man to wrap things up.

First, Avengers (@Natty@Sep@Angel Vicky@Gowi@Facepunch), what's the gameplan for ending the training session? I have heard from some of you, but I just want to make sure everyone is one the same page.

I would also like to hear from others about how much time they need to wrap things up.

I'm cool with doing it as soon as possible. The training session while fun though could get stretched too long if we don't figure out how to end it quickly; maybe Captain America can tell us we're done for [insert reason] or we could simply sum it up in Season 2.

I think I will wait for Season 2 to properly join the RP, as then I can kick off the plot arc I have planned involving Captain America (Sam Wilson) without getting in the way of things that are already established.

As for the training session, we could cut it short after a handful more posts due to, say, a threat that the Avengers need to deal with. A disaster of some sort would be a great way to start out season 2; at least in my mind.

Personally i'd rather not start season 2 with a disaster, as i feel it could result in us all getting bogged down again in another group situation which might take a while to continue! Think it would be cool is that after the training session has ended (or maybe cut short because of this) but Falcap could inform the group of said situation (which wouldn't be a major one) and then deliver the famous "Avengers Assemble" line before cutting to black.

IDk that just seemed cool to me. Feel free to completely disregard that idea if we have something better! :P

I also agree that bogging us down is not the way to go— interaction is fun, but it becomes a chore when we are held up for weeks upon weeks at a time which is what this training session has ultimately turned into. We need to say it ended and get back to our respective areas and maybe not worry about a “big bad” quite yet. I think season 2 should happen sooner rather than later as well— we are making more people hesitant on joining or posting because we are at what point we are at.
