He actually programmed it at some point to feel the effects from beer. Sometime down the line I might go into that LOL
For now...

Player Name: The Kid Lantern
Character You Wish To Play: X-51 the Machine Man
Moral Alignment (Hero, Villain, Walking the Line): Hero
Affiliation (what group/team/organization, if any, is your character affiliated with?):
Character Origin & Backstory:
X-51 was originally designed to be a protector against alien threats as part of a US Army project. All of the other robots in the series went insane after gaining sentience, while X-51, who has been called "the Robot with a soul", survived. X-51 had solar powered batteries built into his exoskeleton and was raised as the human son of his creator, Dr. Abel Stack. At some point the Machine Man built his own ship to travel the stars called the Shockwave Rider. Coming into contact with the Watcher called Uatu and later the Celestials, they deemed his sentience profound and assisted him in traveling back in the direction of Earth after getting lost in the far corners of the galaxy. Coming across the wrecked Knowhere base of the Collector and a pair of his keepsakes, the telepathic and telekinetic Earth dog Cosmo, as well as Troll, together they formed the Guardians of Knowhere.
Powers and Abilities (What can your character do? What can't they do?):
Machine Man's powers include super-human strength, speed, durability and endurance. His body is made of adamantium, and he has a cybernetic brain that gives him a superhuman analytical ability. He has telescopic and microscopic vision and detachable limbs which can be controlled when separated from the body. He also extends his limbs and shapes them into melee weapons at times when in combat.
Along with the built-in abilities for defense, Machine Man has a multitude of devices, including anti-gravity generators that allow him to fly, built into his body. He also has sensors and various radars, a chromatograph, seismometer, audiometer, transceiver and gravity wave detector. His palms contain pulse beams similar to that of Iron Man. X-51 is virtually immortal as long as his programming/consciousness is kept secure. Any damage done to his body can simply be repaired.
Sample Story Arcs: Give 2-3 ideas on where you want to go with your character.
Origin of the Guardians: This would be the story of how X-51 came into contact with Cosmo and Troll and formed their team after Knowhere was ravaged by an unknown adversary.
Planet of the Symbiotes: When the Shockwave Rider crashes on an unknown planet, the Guardians are stunned to find an entire planet of symbiotes in all shapes and sizes. Some of the alien creatures were attached to the dinosaur like animals that inhabit the planet, others in the more oozing form, all deadly in their own ways.
the Herald[s]: Before the current herald of Galactus, Morg, can finish studying a planet and destroy it's defenses for his master, the Guardians must do everything in their power to keep the herald from finishing the job and turn Galactus towards a planet without life. But what could prepare them for a second herald called... Terrax?!?
Sample Post (This is used as an introduction to your writing – try to keep it to around three paragraphs or more and try to include dialogue):
"It has been many months since I have seen home. The stars once full of so much wonder now seem so desolate and empty. After coming face to face with one of the last known Watchers in the universe, and ultimately annoying the Celestials in all of their omnipotence, there is not much that interests me. The ship is still running exceptionally well, I would expect nothing less having had help from the Celestials themselves. However, I have noticed a trail of wreckage and debris spanning across a few space sectors now..." the Machine Man thought at the control seat of the ship.
"Now...
this is interesting." X-51 said out loud.
He was one with the ship now. His hand was no longer on a steering wheel, rather in was jacked into the controls with his hand shifting mechanically and taking control more directly. The scanners were actually longer range than what his body was capable of itself, but they showed no signs of life. After a few more moments X-51's ship finally locked onto something. A cargo transport ship, or rather what was left of it. It seemed as if it was being robbed by the hawk like humanoids in the Fraternity of Raptors. Machine Man had a run in one one of their kind trying to attack Uatu the Watcher. X-51 disconnected from the ship's controls and put the Shockwave Rider on auto-pilot.
As X-51 walked to the hatch in the back of his rather large ship considering he was only a single life form, his mechanical body began to shape chrome plated adamantium back thrusters and larger boot jets. Small openings in his back and calves seemed to give birth to all types of machinery as the enhancements were made. Before they were even complete, Machine Man exited his ship headed straight for the dark hawk-like Raptors. Tuning to the frequency their tech uses for communication he warned.
"You have fifteen seconds to back away from what's left of the cargo ship and vacate the sector and then I open fire. This is your only warning." Machine Man stated.
"We claim thisss vessssel and it's cargo for the Shhhhi'ar Empire!" said the more chrome colored Raptor.
"Itsss the one who killed Gyre! He mussst paaay..." said the other of the two in a darker suit with a blue crystal in his chest.
It was all out mechanical humanoid war for about three or four minutes with X-51 coming out on top. After their crystals were broken and their armors damaged, the two Raptors flew away. The weaponry Machine Man had generated slipped back into the openings of his mechanical body after folding and spinning to compact itself. The robot with a soul made his way to the pilots seat of the cargo ship to find it was piloted by another machine.
"You deserved better my mechanical brother." X-51 thought to himself putting his head down for a moment in respect, "Those Raptors are into some nasty business, and claiming allegiance to the Shi'ar? Further study required..."
