So there's been exactly one pantheon prior to the current one. A much shallower pool of history to work within than I realized.
Bye. For those of you remaining; there were multiple contending pantheons for the throne and Aroesus and siblings had to fight these various factions and groups and became the eventual victors. Krona grew as Aroesus and co. absorbed the others. But Ventu came first and spawned many. Primal beings like Lymaeus also spawned beings. It's entirely possible some primordial sea deity had a hand in such things. @Whiskers I'm cool with the idea of a hallucination/dream deity, though I feel like that ought to be bundled in with deception as well.

Sooz if anyone wants to be a child of Vaela and Aroesus who came from their union that'd be super awesome. ^^ If you want to do that, shoot me a message so we can do some work together. -_^
Bear in mind that Aroesus' kids definitely don't have to be his and Mysia's. Aroesus was a Jovian douche.
A question to both of you I suppose (Paper angel + Seuss) would it fit that I am the child of Aroesus and Vaela? You said Seuss that being a child of Aroesus would be just as fine as being his brother and, well you want a child Paper Angel :P How about the God of the underworld?
Yeah, that's fine by me. In fact, I'd like to see multiple children of Aroesus with different mothers involved, because that makes the situation hairy. Not all those mother figures might have survived.

I fixed the chronology of Dihira's history - she has now been born after the downfall of Ventu, and Svanus now dies after his downfall as well.
When Sileon finally woke up, Svanus was gone, and Sileon accepted the explanations, though he harbored questions that haunted his dreams.
HeySeuss
That is the reason why Dihira views Sileon as being 'complicit' in Svanus' murder. It's not rational or reasonable, but even the God of knowledge can have her petty moments. As far as she is concerned, Sileon helped Aroesus murder Svanus by not doing anything about it afterwards, when he was one of the very few gods who possibly could have successfully stood up to Aroesus. It doesn't help that he accepted explanations which were clearly lies without even asking around first - the other gods would probably have told him something different.

No prob, I can live with 'she didn't accept that.' ;)

I might instead make a child of Aroesus. Maybe fill the role of the heir apparent. Would that be alright as well seuss? :)

Swell :) I'm also honored that you thought so highly of my ideas with Lymaeus and her story that you kept them in. :D

Yeah, I tweaked it only a tad, but otherwise tried to keep it intact, as it was a nice addition to the lore.

In anticipation of a great many things starting up IRL for me I'm easily able to see that my time will be limited in the near future. As such I think I'm going to decide to withdraw from this. I'm sorry if this is inconvenient at all but I thought this would be the best time as there is a lot of interest and I haven't impacted anything. I wasn't even accepted yet XD Good luck with it all though! Sorry again, it does look a great RP I just don't want to commit to it when I know I won't be able to down the line -_- this also means the God of the underworld is for the taking, you can Raw-view my CS and use anything you want from it to whomever takes my place. Good luck with it and have fun guys!!

Not a problem. Good luck with things, I'm sure we'll get someone else to take over that 'god of the dead' role.

Proposed relationships for my character, Dinn. Sileon: if I have understood correctly, Sileon released Dinn from his exile in Sharzunates, and therefore earns Dinn's loyalty and Dinn will ally himself with Sileon in most instances. Molydeus: conflict or complementary portfolios (running/contained water vs. all water), and corresponding personalities - a formerly imprisoned god with claustrophobia and a god who is the patron of jails and the jailed. Proposing it was Dinn's anguish in Sharzunates that 'birthed' Molydeus, if the chronology permits Dinn to have been the first god thrown into Sharzunates (Seuss?) Undisclosed God of the Underworld: we'll need to talk! In other news, I'm struggling to follow the history at the moment, so Dinn's history may traipse along when I get a more concrete picture of the chronology. In particular, I think Aroesus is dead (but not mentioned in the 'official history' currently posted) and that Sileon is now the top dog, but I'm not tooooo sure. Also, are you sure you're happy with Dinn's current proposed role in the passing of souls to the afterlife, and occasional inclination to let them stay in the mortal realm indefinitely? Is there any terminology I should be using (soul/spirit/ghost, realm/world/plane, etc)?

Not quite. Sileon is technically the inheritor of Ventu's mythological role (if I interpret it correctly), but Sileon was Ventu's youngest son. If we go with Greek/Roman rules of inheritance, that would actually mean the eldest surviving child of Aroesus or else Svanus (whomever was the eldest) has the strongest legal and traditional claim to the throne of the gods, moreso than Sileon at least. Failing that, I do believe that Mysia was born as Svanus' twin, making her the eldest surviving progeny of Ventu himself. The Dowager Queen of the gods might have a legitimate claim to becoming King.

Either way, we could maybe do with some elucidation. :)

Well, the rules of inheritance aren't strict, and that was part of the consternation. But Sileon is nowhere near the one that Aroesus favored to inherit should something happen. Neither would Aroesus' eldest. It's more fluid than that and has to do with favor and the like. But Sileon isn't awake, and certainly isn't releasing people from Sharzunates. Sharzunates' defenses weakened considerably at the moment of Aroesus' death, and the power to hold deities there was weakened considerably. Those deities may not be able to just walk off, but they can certainly be rescued easily enough now. The whole point of this RP will be the future of the pantheon -- will the Pantheon even continue or will a new order arise? And then, the consequences of the strife on the world and so forth. Aroesus might have an heir picked, but they won't get to just walk in and take over. This is a contested succession.

I think I'm missing something:
Lymaeus, weakened from her births, was smashed down by Ventu, her children shackled along with Aroesus and his siblings for their rebellion. It was Sileon, left free, trusted, who Ventu thought understood the best, who freed them from their imprisonment in Sharzunates

Oh, when Ventu was taken down. Yes. That's also why Sileon was kept asleep and out of things, as Aroesus got more paranoid.
