"Wow, the rumors don't do them justice do they? I doubt I would have had any problems with them, but it sure makes me glad I was still too young to attend Hogwarts at the time." Skylar sat back and nibbled on her lunch, eyes jumping between Jax and Aedan. "If you're that dissatisfied with what you are learning, why don't you take the Ravenclaw approach to education?" She pushed her plate aside and reached into her bag, withdrawing a textbook much larger than her bag appeared to have room for. Placing it down on the table in front of her, she patted the cover and looked at the boys. "You'd be amazed at what you can learn just by reading it from a book. The library here really is quite amazing, you could find anything in there. I checked this guy out this morning to help me out with my Potions class, it's a beginner's guide to brewing herbs." Sky beamed with excitement, her fingers sliding over the papers' edges lightly.

Dana followed after Seleana, giving his brother a quick glance but deciding he probably wouldn't be missed in this conversation. He only caught where she was going because the door leading outside was still swinging when he got to the entrance hall. He darted through it and saw Seleana sitting in the high noon sun off in the grass. She was twirling her wand in a practiced, and almost compulsive motion.

He approached tentatively, and called out to her when he was a few meters away.

"Erm, look... I'm sorry about him, he's a right arse pretty much all the time. This is what I was talking about last night. Difficult. You can't take him as seriously as he takes himself, or you'll never win, you know?"

Aedan shrugged at his cousin. "I don't know Jackson but something, we can't just let ourselves no longer be able to learn about these spells cause who knows what might happen again. I mean anything is possible at this point and I don't think we should cower because of the unwillingness of our TEACHERS to educate us properly, I mean me and you could do a better job of it Jax." He looked over at Skylar and nodded, "books are excellent I know since i've probably memorized the memoirs of the Death Eaters as well as their spells but at the same time book learning and cleverness only get you so far. You never know how the spell will actually work until you -do- them."

He shrugged and then an idea popped into his head and he looked -right- at Jax. "Room of requirement."

Moirah listened intently as the conversation unfolded. She leaned over Skylar's book, peering at the pages, wishing she could decipher their secrets as easily as the Ravenclaw claimed she could.

She had not yet visited the great Library of Hogwarts. "Would they really have books about dark magic for us to look through?" She stated quietly, not quite joining in the conversation, but speaking her though aloud as she looked over the potions book and recognized very little. She imagined that any books on dark magic would be more difficult than the introductory text books she had purchased in Diagon Alley.

She frowned a bit, worried that she wouldn't be able to catch up to her classmates. She would have attended Hogwarts last year, but due to the war it had remained closed. Her parents were supposed to teach her magic in the meantime... however, her father was never around and her mother... was not a teacher by nature. She had flunked her first year equivalency exam. Being pure blooded from an honorable powerful house was not enough to get her through it. She'd have to read a bit as well...

"That's a good idea." She said to Skylar. Maybe the Ravenclaw could help her if she found herself struggling with her studies. That is what Ravenclaw were known for after all, their wisdom and knowledge, wasn't it?

She raised her brow a bit as Aedan suggested that himself and his cousin could teach a better lesson than their teacher. Could that really be true of a first year? He rattled off his credentials. On the one hand Moirah felt a bit ashamed that her lessons had not been so thorough, on the other hand... the Death Eaters... the subject reminded of the war that divided her family and her stomach felt uneasy.

Moirah had no idea what the room of requirement was and didn't want to reveal her ignorance. She simply nodded, approving of the idea... whatever it was...

Edging closer to Skylar she asked "Do you have your schedule? Do we have any classes togehter?"

"Aye," Jax said, folding his arms and looking superior, "I've done a few meself, in First Year and while I was brushing up for the exam."

Aeden mentioned the Room of Requirement, and Jax punched him in the arm.

"You read too ruddy much! I wanted to tell them about the old R-uv-R," his ego deflated a little by the mere fact that his cousin had known about the room. True, it had been largely unknown once, but after the year the Carrows taught, far too many students had taken refuge in it for it to remain so secret.

"I'll take a peek during supper tonight. Who wants to come?"

Skylar knew what Aedan was getting at, it was difficult to claim mastery until you could consistently produce results. The room of requirements? She had heard rumors about it but she had thought it was just an urban legend created by the earlier students. Raising an eyebrow she leaned in closer to the group to speak. "You're opportunity isn't completely lost Jax. I've only heard rumors about the place, I honestly didn't think it was real." Sitting back a little, Skylar refilled her goblet and hid her book back in her bag, withdrawing a slip of paper that held her schedule on it. Skylar shifted her gaze to Moirah for a moment, pushing the paper in her direction. "I hope we do, that would be fun." She smiled brightly before returning her attention to Aedan and Jax.

"I'll go with you, but I don't know where it is."

Sleana looks up at Dana and sighs "He's of no consequence to me other than he's your brother. No what really got me mad is that I've never had any friends that weren't muggles because of my parents are squibs."

She stands putting away her wand then grins at Dana "Well at least I haven't alienated you yet"

Dana cracked a grin back at her, "Nah, of course not! Do you think people dislike you because of your parents? I don't want to advertise for my brother too much, but you know he hates that kind of mindset. Gets all red in the face when he talks about Death Eaters and their pureblood bias."

~~~
Jax flashed Skylar a crooked, mischievous grin. "Well it's well brilliant, for all of you, that I'm here, innit? Know right where it is, I do. Amazing place! Give you anything you need, long's you ask it right."
"Anything?" Skylar's eyes lit up with dreams of various scenarios, all of which either had to do with food or books. "Sounds amazing." She sighed, resting her chin in the palm of her hand, propping her elbow up on the table. Snapping back to reality, Skylar leaned in closer, a determined smile plastered to her face. "When and where are meeting?" She asked in a hushed tone, her stomach flipping in anticipation.
Moirah bit her bottom lip. Anticipation.
Something was happening. She did not understand exactly what was unfolding before her. She did understand that it was something unique. She was a part of that something. The room of requirement, dark arts, secret plans... She was certain that whatever it was would be remarkable. What else could it be? She regarded each person in the conversation. Young and confident, somehow different from their classmates. If she was careful and she was lucky she could figure out what it was they had and emulate it. She hoped that she already had a spark of it, as she was included...
She waited to hear the answer to Skylar's question. How... where... what would be planned? And what would be needed from her in return?
