Also Olsted (and everyone else), the Pair command is used when adjacent to the person you wanna become the support unit for. You can't land on the same tile as another unit in any circumstance, only pass through or pair with them.

I didn't know Transfer existed, and it kind of messed up my plan now. Oh, well. *sigh*

You can even use it to transfer the secondary unit of someone else over to you? Really? I thought that was impossible. Like, if they main unit waits they're chained there. I mean, if you put a lot of units in a row you can transfer them endlessly to get their secondary stuff over and over. Just imagine someone doing that with a knight. It would be so unfair. Oh, well. *sigh*

In awakening, you can let a solo unit use transfer to take the secondary unit of an adjacent pair. Transfer swaps the secondary slots of two adjacent leader units, in this case the switch was Iris and [empty slot]. This was possible in awakening and could be done with pairs that had already finished their turn.

Never used that function. Probably because I almost never used pairing to begin with. It has so much more strategic use in a pvp battle compared to a pve battle, and I never played against another player. Didn't even know it existed before Olsted asked about it a few pages back, either I missed it completely or forgot it. Oh, well.

Edit: Yupp. Just started up my 3DS to check if the Transfer command was real. Experimented a bit with it. I gotta mention my surprise, both at it existing and at me not knowing it existed. It was quite the stare of disbelief I had when I looked down on the screen. Oh, well.

Edit 3: There never was a guide-entry telling that Transfer existed or how to use it! XD

Edit 4: Unless it, like, showed up after the chapter I stopped on. Like. Haha.

That was the idea. That everything wouldn't hit her or that she'd be guarded at least once, that is. She DID have Avoid+, after all. I did guess she might be dual-striked, but... XD

It's just a bunch of people that can't accept their precious darling baby, you know, changing. None of those games are Built to be tournament fighters! It's not what smash bros. is all about, not all this crazy advanced nonsense, or tiers, it's about having a good time with your buddies on the couch, watching what would happen if Luigi and Captain Falcon duked it out. It's this sense of rampant elitism that kills games for me, when it stops being about having a good time and it becomes solely for competition. Doing all that to it, it just takes its soul...

Ok, I'm really sorry about it, it's just stuff like this just really drives me up the wall. There's this fucking guy I know that won't just leave me the fuck alone about this, I keep telling him over and over how I don't care about goddamn melee, and how I prefer brawl. I prefer Brawl because it is more balanced on a casual level. I can pick ANY character and still fare a decent chance against virtually all my friends. As someone who always without exception goes with random character, I am very thankful for this. There was once a melee tournament at school I was made to join, and I got a few strange looks when I rolled dice to see which character I should play. From someone who could never take the time to become professional in any game, their reactions were worth everything. Of course I lost, but their reactions? Almost every single one of them having to pause for a moment realizing they had nothing to say to me? Priceless.

I don't know what people are smoking, but I've never had problems with metaknight. Brawl is pretty well balanced all things considered.
Waaaaaay better balance than Marvel Vs. Capcom 3... screw that game. Dante/Wesker+Virgil+Zero is auto-win.

None of them are well balanced. 64, Melee and Brawl all have horrible balancing. Easily the worst balancing in fighting game history.

I remember my school had this 'gamer's club' thing every Wednesday, and this guy brought melee this one time and everybody Laughed at me when I picked captain falcon... And I think when my friend picked Ness that was the only other time anyone picked something other than Marth or Fox...
