Just to let you all know, I'm instating a Player Rank system. It will be very much like player ranking in other games, you'll gain exp towards raising your PR by completing battles, you'll earn more if you win. PR will also be used as a prerequisite to buy certain items/weapons, and also dictate how many units you're allowed to own in your army. It's a fair way to moderate what players of certain skill levels have access to and can prevent people from breaking the market. Also differences in PR should come into account when determining if it would be fair to allow certain players fight each other, but this can be overruled by the Gentlemen's Clause (if all parties agree in spite of the situation, then fuck it, idrc).

Um... *raises hand* I don't really mind such a system if you want it, but...

Takaho's attack is 9, and Isaac's Resistance is 4 right now, right? Shouldn't that mean she'll do 5 damage, not 6? Or did I miss some bonus?

I don't see why not, I still have to spend another units turn to do it, and with the pair system I'm effectively using two whole characters to give her her Hand-Axe.
Plus he can do it too.

You can still engage afterwards with the unit that started the trade. Eh screw it. It would be dumb to make situational rules for it.

It's not THAT big an issue considering it takes another unit to do the whole thing, but if you really wanted to you could just make it so neither unit can trade their currently equipped weapon while in battle. That doesn't really matter for the active unit, but it makes it so the other unit can't be wielding a different weapon after already ending their turn.
