A dark haired fairy fluttered nimbly into the large room of the labyrinth that contained many of the Big Bad members stationed here. They were a colorful team made up of many diverse back stories, although all of them doing something or other to get themselves labeled as villains and into such a situation as to have 100 powerful individuals hired to take them out. Some of the group was doing last minute preparations for the battle to come, some getting to know each others, while others kept to themselves, often with an annoyed look as if they couldn't wait to get things started. Not all Big Bad knew or liked each other despite all being within the same group. Them all being here was forced upon them in order to take out the incoming threat rather than be divided and conquered like what happened to some other villains who got too much of the spotlight placed on them. To put things bluntly, if they hadn't have formed together as "Big Bad" they stood no chance. In fact, even as things stood now they'd need a whole lot of luck if they were to emerge victorious. They did have this labyrinth to their advantage, setting up many tricks and splitting up their attackers in the process, but they were still the underdogs even factoring all this in.
The fairy passed her glittering purple eyes over each individual in rapid succession, taking in their information (that she could see at a glance) at incredible speeds. Some were obviously more powerful than others. Some looked rather worthless, actually. Hopefully she'd be wrong. Otherwise she'd have to fly away from this joint with her metaphorical tail between her legs (most fairies, hers included, didn't have tails, only wings). She'd almost rather die then let this happen. Almost. Either way it wouldn't be pleasant. But how could they win...they needed more of a plan then just "rush every group that makes their way here".
She cleared her tiny throat to try and get everyone's attention, but this was likely barely audible, even to those she was fluttering nearby.
"Excuse me ladies and evilmen, but in my latest scouting run I spotted the first group making their way through our traps and are going to reach us in a couple minutes through that tunnel," she pointed to the one she had just come in from. There was no door and it was big enough to fit an elephant. The hallway was pretty dark. "Luckily, or perhaps unluckily, it's one of the weaker ones in general so should be a good warm up. Here's a visual representation of them..."
She waved her hands around in front of her for a moment as her sparkling purple energy coalesced into the image of a chibi looking suit of armor comprised of a helmet, gauntlets, greaves, and breastplate, all held together into the shape of a human by some magical force.
"This thing appears to be the most powerful of the ten due to something I sense deep inside him. Perhaps magic or super strength will be the only means of getting through that tough body of his until a weak point reveals itself."
The armor person dissolved into energy before forming into a representation of a young witch in her early teens, her witch's outfit having a turtle motif.
"Witches can have a wide variety of powers, although this one doesn't strike me as particularly powerful. I'm guessing she specializes in defense due to the weird turtle thing she has going on."
The girl was replaced by...an armored grasshopper-like creature with swords?! She stood on two legs and had a head/neck that functioned more like a human, although mostly looked like a grasshopper like the rest of her body.
"Don't underestimate someone by her size (person experience...), I can tell this woman's very refined and talented with those blades. However, I don't sense any magical capabilities even with her being, you know, a walking talking bug."
A teen boy wearing a pinstripe gangster suit showed up next. He was carrying an uzi but also had a pistol mostly concealed within his jacket. This group of opponents...sure was weird, weren't they? A gangster boy was so far the most normal person they had come across.
"I don't know much about him, but I do sense that he has a hidden fighting style and ability up his sleeve. His bandaged hands show that he's been training with some up close and personal attacks. That may even be his area of expertise."
Next was the second oldest and largest one of the group, a 30 something year old woman built like an amazon. Her hide armor appeared tougher than normal hide and she carried with her a broadsword single handedly. On her back was a bow and a quiver filled with 20 arrows. Slung across her right hip was a mace and strapped to her left boot was a dagger.
"Getting hit by her might be like getting hit by a car, but I don't believe she has magical enhancements. She's just...like, super tough, so watch out. She's likely the strongest of this group as they stand right now."
A young man with a gun appeared with what looks like a bulky speargun, only it contained an anchor as it's weapon of choice that was nearly a third his own mass, and it was attached to a metal chain that could be pulled in with a crank. He wore a long coat.
"He looks dangerous but his weapon isn't very nimble. We can use that to our advantage, but watch out because he may have some magic to back himself up. I could tell his personality was the most...goof-offy of the group, so who knows if he will live up to his potential."
Next was a tall man, perhaps 8 feet or so in height, concealed entirely in dull light grey armor that was all scratched up and dented. In his hands was a massive tower shield about 50% larger than himself and what appeared to be more shields were strapped to various points on his body.
"This man is the most immobile of them all, but he will likely stand up to most of our attacks until we can chip away at his armor some more. Even those damaged areas seem to be stronger than most normal armor, even that first person we saw. Luckily his offensive capabilities seem limited to brunt force attacks...if he managed to catch us."
Surprising everyone, something even bigger, maybe 10 feet tall, showed up for the next individual. It could best be described as a blowfish looking creature. His body looked like a combination of adorable and deadly, chubby and filled with spikes all along his backside. His "arms" and "hands" were like seven elongated spikes wrapped in a scaly webbing, the rest of his body also having small scales that revealed he was a reptile rather than a fish, as if him on land wasn't proof enough. His feet were like his "arms" but tiny, flapping in the wind as he scooted his obtuse frame along the ground, at least what could be assumed based on his movement as the ground despite it not showing up in the image. He had a small mouth and eyes, although he had more eye-like orbs scattered around the sides of his underbelly. Strapped to his head, which didn't have much of a neck to differentiate from it's body, was a metal helmet far too small for him so it looked more like a tiny cap.
"This...this is an odd one. Your guess is as good as mine."
The next was another young man, perhaps 18 or so, dressed in a robe. An aura of fire surrounded his body, flickering against his skin and trailing off his lower back like a tail that twitched around.
"Expect some dangerous fire related attacks that may be tricky to face off against without first taking advantage of how he appears to be the most rash of the group. That being said, don't take him lightly and only attack when you have a plan. Killing him off early is definitely in our best interest."
The last member of the group then showed up, an Asian looking women in her mid twenties. She wore a revealing steampunk like getup that showed off tattoos covering much of her body. She held in each hand a six shooter following that same style. On her back was a small device that looked sort of like a jetpack but had a random gear turning in the middle...perhaps for style only? On her belt were more cartridge looking devices.
"This girl looks fast and may be a skilled marksman, so we should make sure we know where she is at all times or else she could quickly slip past our defenses and deal some major damage. She might be another one who should be taken down as a priority."
With all of the members of the incoming group shown, she allowed her purple mist of energy to dissipate.
"Although, that's the gist of it. They should be here in a couple of minutes so use this time wisely to plan. We might not get such an opportunity for the next waves."
