Plot
A group of villains labeled "Big Bad" is considered too dangerous to be left to their own devices or else they may pose a serious threat to the multiverse. A call for assistance in eliminating them has been accepted by 100 diverse individuals, most of them heroes but some being other villains who have their own reasons for wanting Big Bad out of the picture. They gather together at Big Bad's base on a planet that's otherwise deserted. Unfortunately it turns out to be an evil labyrinth that has many tricks up it's metaphorical sleeves, splitting up the 100 individuals into much smaller groups and forcing them to fight the Big Bad members in waves. Big Bad still has the odds stacked against them, but the battle is not over until the fat lady sings! (Is...is the final boss going to be a singing fat lady?!)
Rules
1. This battle is mainly for fun (and testing out my numerous characters to better figure out their capabilities in actual combat) rather than simply winning at any cost. Therefore, we're not going to go into high levels of scrutiny to analyze our every move. If you believe your character should be able to move fast enough to dodge the attack, go for it. Come up with a cool power (that makes sense for them) mid battle? Go for it. We don't need to post any character sheets for this, explaining everything relevant to the current situation as it comes up in the IC. However, you can post character sheets if desired.
2. Besides #1 making things far more lenient, standard arena battle rules still apply such as not controlling someone else's character, unavoidable attacks, or doing the damage from an attack in your post (unless the person you'd be doing these things to gives you the power to do them to your post). You post what you expect the attack to do such as saying "I swing my sword at his arm to try and cut it off" rather than saying "I swing my sword and cut off his arm". The other person explains if the attack managed to connect and the results. This means that each post would first start with a reaction to your opponent's post (if they did anything against you) and then your own action (likely in retaliation but your own action could just be running away crying if you want). You can post your actions to take as long as you want, such as saying you do cartwheels for five hours, but in your opponent's post, if at any time during those five hours they would do something to interrupt them, the rest of your cartwheels after that point would not have taken place. Your next post would be reacting to this new information rather than continuing the cartwheels unless you say you will do them again after being interrupted...for some reason, and if you are still able to.
3. Sci fi, fantasy, realistic, etc. is all allowed. Just make sure your character isn't so powerful it makes most of the characters pointless. This means that we should start out with max power of around able to destroy a small village single handedly. We can slowly up the stakes as time goes on as we all agree it would be a good thing to do. There could be a mix of weaker characters as well who could fight each other or team up to take down the more difficult threats.
4. Any number of you can join the group Big Bad with any number of characters, and by "character" they can be generic cannon fodder or even very weird like a swarm of evil butterflies. They don't have to all be involved at the beginning. We can claim that they were simply somewhere else in the labyrinth until they managed to show up. I'm controlling all 100 of the heroes/villains sent to fight Big Bad. You might think they will be the 100 characters (at the time of this writing) posted in my Character-A-Day, but you'd be wrong! I will indeed be taking heavily from there, but I will also be using more characters I'm planning to add to my list of character sheets at a later date. That being said, prepare for a ton of surprises from never before seen characters!
5. There's no set number of opponent's you guys will fight in each wave and when a new wave shows up; it's up to my discretion to make it an interesting fight by pushing you guys harder with each wave. Due to me wanting to get a chance to use all of them, or at least most of them, you guys should be able to defeat most of the waves even if it will seem like it would be a very close call or even against you. You guys can pull a lot of insanely lucky maneuvers to help you get through this if you'd like.
6. You guys as a team can decide on posting order and then I'll get my own post in once everyone has made one post. Your decided posting order can change for each round of these postings depending on situation. For example, some of you might not be able to post for a couple days so let others post before you, or perhaps are wanting to see what one character will do before making an action of your own.
7. If members on your team have not posted after 5 days in inactivity, the inactive people will have their turn skipped unless they provided advance notice for us to wait for them. This skip of their turn will be represented in battle as them simply not reacting quickly enough to current events for whatever reason. If everyone else on the team agrees then they can skip that person's turn before 5 days is up, or if the person themselves says to skip them. In the event that a turn is skipped and they were under attack, I can post the attack connected and it's damage. The same can be said if I'm inactive for 5 days once everyone has made their post.
8. No R rated love making randomly thrown in for whatever reason. This is not only impractical to do mid battle (like...seriously...how?!) but it's also distracting for everyone involved.
9. Although I have the final say on things, this is a roleplay for fun so I will do my best not to be a dictator to crush you guys underfoot. Please feel free to bring to my attention any ideas or criticism you have to make this roleplay better and fix problems. Maybe I haven't thought of it yet so won't hurt to bring to my attention if I missed something important.
10. Have fun!
