Avery looked at him weird when he sid they should get ging and she only shruggd for once she got there she was just going to keep to herself and be quiet like she normally is back home. Thankfully she made leftovers for her dad to heat adn he knewhow to work one still. HE normally did not care unless he has his food and beer and they were stocked on beer. She just have to worry about making sure to leave early enough in the morning to make her dads breakfast but knew she would run into trouble. Avery just started to follow him though she reconized the screet a bit for it was the same path she took home.

Avery then looked at him when he told her it would but just the two of them but something threw her off. "Your friends parents where are yours and how come you are staying at your friends place?" Avery asked for she thought it was strnge though she did not really cared in all honesty but her curiosity always got the best of her.

As Roland started making his way home, Avery then popped the question on where his parents were and why he is living with a friend while she was following him. Once he heard her, he looked beside him whilst he continued walking to reply to her curiosity. “My parents are usually traveling a lot due to their work and everything. They go just about anywhere, and on occasion, sometimes to come back here and visit.” While they proceeded, Roland placed his hands on the back of his head to rest while he kept the conversation going.

“They did want me to go with them at first….and at first I wanted to. But….well….I didn’t think I could. I thought about it after a while and decided to change my mind, so instead Steven and his parents took me in and I’ve been living with them ever since. They look at me as family, mainly because we’ve known each other for so long.” A few minutes later, Roland then put his hands back down to realize that they were finally at his house.

“Well, here we are. Wasn’t much of a walk, but it usually never is. Now I just hope I have a key.” Roland approached the door and began to search his pockets in hope that a key with him, but he didn’t. He then tried to see if the door was unlocked to be sure someone was inside, but they weren’t.

Then after, Roland realized that he always hid it in a special place where only he would know where it was at. He turned to Avery and asked her a favor. “Hey, can you turn away real quick?”

Avery looked at him as he explained where his parents were and she had to admit that has to be worst to not see his parents for even though her dad abuses her non stop. She followed him and noticed that her house was only a few doors down from his frineds place where he was staying. She could not believe that at all. so she decided to keep her mouth shut about that she did not live that far from him. SHe looked at him as hetalked a bit more.

"Wow you forgot your key been there done that before had to climb the second floor and climb through my window." SHe said to him as she looked at him weird when he told her to turn around and she was not doing that so she put her hand through her hair and pulled out a bobypin and then pulled out a weird tool in her bag that you would see lock pickers carry. "Move." Was all Avery said to him and got on one knee and started to pick at the lock carefully to not break it at all. After a few minutes the locks twisted and she turned the knob showing the door hopen easially. "And your keys should work still." SHe said as she put the took back in her back and placed her hair pin back in her hair.

"And you do not need to tell anyone I know how to pick locks or why I learned that." Avery said for she was not explaining her reasoning for if a cop where to kick her out of the park she would just find an abandon placed and break in to sleep for the night if she did not want to return home and to be able to even enter her own house.

When Avery ignored Roland as he asked her nicely to turn her head so he could grab his set of keys he had hidden, she came up with a different suggestion as she grabbed a bobby pin out of her hair and told Roland to move. Roland became question as to why, but got out of her way anyway as she began to pick the lock. “Wait, what are you-” said Roland as he watched her try to undo the lock to get inside. Once she was done and the door was unlocked, she looked at Roland and told him that his keys will still work and not to tell anyone or ask on what he witnessed. Roland didn’t know how to reply but instead left a surprised and questionable look on his face for what she had done was unusual.

After he came back to reality, Roland went to the doorknob to see it really had worked, and finding out it did he opened the door leading inside. He stepped in and took a big deep breath following up with a welcoming statement. “Well here it is. Home Sweet Home……but it really isn’t my place but…..uh…..I guess you already knew that.” Roland then walked over to one of the sofas in the main room and looked at Avery to speak again. “Go ahead and have a seat right here if you will.” He then proceeded into the kitchen to find some food and beverages.

Avery only looked at him weird for he had a weird look on his face after watching her pick te lock on the door. She only shook her head at him. "Its a useful skill." She said to him but theen shut her trap as she watched him open the door and she followed him in and looked around the place and she felt like she did not belong. It was so differnet from what she has been living in. There was no cracks in the wall, blood stains, run down floors, acohol smell, or even beer botttles on the floor. It looks clean and nice and way out of her element and comfort zone. She looked aroun a bit still refusing to take her shodes off asshe trned towards Roland and listened to what he had to say.

Avery walked over to the sofa and plopped herself on it figuring might as well try it out sicne this would be the only time she be in a palce like this. "What a strange house so different from what I live in." She said to herself as she watched him heading to the kitchen not know what he was doing but soon figured he was getting himself a snack. She did not expect him to make her anyhting or fix her anything she was used to no eating or anyone caring abt her needs anymore.

In the kitchen, Roland looked around to see what was edible and what could at least keep his hunger in control. He constantly kept opening different cabinets to see what he could find only to see nothing but spices and condiments. He proceeded to look around trying to find actual food to realize that nothing could be found, so instead he made his way to the refrigerator to see if he could whip something up. As he opened up the fridge, he found some canned sodas and deli meat to make sandwiches, but he wanted to eat something a little more hearty. Afterwards, he spotted some leftover baked pork loin from dinner last night, so his decision was to eat what was left of it.

After grabbing it and closing the fridge, he sat the meat on a counter and unwrapped the plastic that sealed it. Next, he went to a cabinet to grab a plate and a knife so that he could cut a good portion of what he wanted and heat it up in the microwave. Before he could, he said to himself “Hmm….I wonder if she’s hungry as well.” He sat everything on the counter and made way back into the main to find Avery sitting on the sofa. Once there, he tried to get her attention and asked her a question.

“Are you hungry? If so, I got some leftovers in here if you want some. It’s still good too.”

Avery was messing with her crazy hair that really needed to be washed but she was busy from sun rise and was out like a light after she made her dads dinner she would just be tired but then doing her hmework and studing jsut to keep her grades up. After a bit she just pulled out a wron note book and her englished book and started to work on her English homework wanting to get it done before it got late. Thogh she got through it pretty quickly and was already proof reading it and fixed her mistakes. After that she was doing her math work and just was going through the math problems like it was nothing. She was offered Honor classes but those classes took a lot of time and they did college stuff and Aveyr already ddecided she would just get her diploma and then hope she can leave once she was 18. But knowing her dad it might be impossible.

As she did her math homework she wa almot done as Roland walked out and she looked up at him. "Huh oh uh no I don't eat I have meal replacement bares." She said for that was the only thing anyone has ever seen her eat. They never seen her eat normal food once. "Besides I am not hungry. She siad as she worked on a problem her stomach growled loudly be traying her. Traitor." Avery mumbled to her stomach as she sighed and tired to finish her math work but her stmach only growled more for it wantedrealy food and not meal replacment bars. "Ok fin just something small to eat." Avery finally said to Roland for she knew her stomach was not going to stop growling now.

"I hate my stomach." SHe grumbled as she finished the last math problem and put her math book away.

After asking if she wanted some food, and afterwards neglecting, Roland didn’t become surprised at her stubbornness and was going to wander back into the kitchen. But then she decided to change her mind and accept his offer for some food, in which case made Roland happy. “All right then I’ll be right back” he said as he made off back into the kitchen. Once there he continued to make a small meal for the both of them.

He used the knife to cut up some of the pork and sat it on a plate, then walked over to the microwave. In doing so, he opened it up to place the meat inside and turned it on, giving it a couple of minutes to heat up. Once finished, he took it out of the microwave and let it sit for another couple of minutes to cool down, and in doing so, went to the refrigerator one last time to grab a couple of sodas. As he had the sodas in hand, he rushed to the main room to give Avery her soda and sat his on the miniature table that was in front of the sofa. “Here you go, hold up one more minute” said Roland as he rushed back into the kitchen to check on the food.

After doing so, he grabbed another plate and a couple of knives and forks to eat the food with. He put one portion for him on one plate and another for Avery’s plate. After doing so, he continued back into the main room again with the plates of food in his hands. “All right then. Here you go” said Roland as he placed the food made for Avery in front of her. “A Fork and knife to go with it, and a drink to wash it all down. Oh, and if you don’t like it let me know and I’ll try to find you something else ok?” After he spoke to her in a welcoming tone encouraging her to go ahead and eat, he sat down next to her and began to dig in.

Avery could not believed she hased for food when she had plenty of proten bars and other stuff but she wondred when was it the last time she had real food. She then got all her ther homwrok don and got her sketch book out and started drawing again. She felt more at peace when she was drawing but it was hard to draw with her sunglasses but she did not want Roland to see her black eye but decided she would just make up a story and took her sunglasses and got back to drawing and it made it a lot easier on her now that she could see better.

When he came back with the food she hoped that he would not notice her eye and so far he had not. She tk a sip from her drink but once she got the food in front of her she could not hold back and ate almost like an animal and someone who had not eaten for a very long time. She finished the food off pretty fast and placed the plate ddow. "Thanks the food was good." She said but did not look at him for she felt embaressed for him to see her like a wild animal.

Avery pretty much stayed quiet and went back to her drawing letting her long hair fall and cover part of her face.

Roland began to eat after everything was situated with the food, and in high hopes that Avery was going to like what she was eating. While he started to take his first bite, he looked next to him to notice that Avery was eating like she had never eaten anything before in her life. He didn’t know what to think at first, but he did enjoy seeing that she ate the food without question so he stayed quiet about it. As they continued, he also noticed something else about her. The sunglasses that she had wore earlier and a few minutes ago, she didn’t have them on anymore, but Roland saw her face as he figured why she had them on in the first place.

As he spotted the black eye that she had, he was surprised that she had one, but the question that left him in wonder was how she got it in the first place. He didn’t want her to notice that he was staring at the damage on her face, but then again she was too distracted from consuming the food given to her. He decided to turn back to his plate, not to say a word about her condition for he might make her upset. As he continued to eat, a couple of minutes later, Avery sat her plate on the little table in front of them saying thank you, stating that she was done. Roland became shocked when she had finished her food so quickly, but was assuming that she really must of enjoyed it as well, so he had no complaints.

“Wow, it must have been good” said Roland. He smiled as he kept eating what he had left on his plate, but didn’t stop him from conversation with Avery. “I’m glad you liked it. If you want anything else just let me know ok?” Roland stopped eating for a minute and put his utensils down as he looked around the couch for a minute to see if he could find something. “Where is the……ah ha!”

Roland spotted what he was looking for as it turned out to be a television remote. “All right. So…you like television?” Roland asked to Avery as it seems he wanted to see if anything was good on television while he tried to finish eating.

Avery just sat there when he told her that he was glad that she liked it. To her it was blaned but then again she had no clue for she never really ate real food anymore. when he brought up television she looked at him weird. "Um my dad is normally watching I never get to watch it." She said to him as she got up. "Um I am just going to go to the bathroom." She said as she walked into the restroom and took care of ber buisness and then watched her hands after flushing. "Man I really do not fit into this place its way to different from how I live." She said to er reflection before walking out and her stomach growled more and she realized she was still hungry.

"Um I am going to scrounge in your kitchen if that is ok." SHe said as she walked into the kitchen and was shocked at how clean it was. She went to the fridge and looked to see some chiken breast and other spices and took it out. "Uh Roland you like chicken right?" She asked for she thought she would cook something to show her thanks for him letting her stay there and make enough for his friend and his friends family. She got the oven going and a cooking sheet pan and placed foil on it. She preed the chicken breast and put some dill mayo and cheese on it along with a little pepper poweder to give it a little kick. Once it was in the oven she made some mac and cheese with some boxed noodles and the cheese she found for she had a lot of experience doing this.

Once it was cooking she stayed in the kitchen for her dad always forced her to stay in the kitchen while she cooked and she has a scar on her back to prove it frm when he pushed her into the knife on the counter that cut her deep but thankfully not deep enough to kill her. She sighed as the oven went off and the smell of the food filled the house. and was able to pull out the mac and cheese and was able to get all the food on the plates.

Roland continued eating as Avery stated that she never get to watch tv, so he assumed she showed no interest in watching anything. “Whatever you say then” said Roland as flipped the television on while he continued eating. Afterwards, Avery decided to get up saying that she needed to use the restroom, so Roland decided to turn around behind him and point out where it was located and in statement as well. “The hall right there, first door on the right. Everything should be in there so you’ll have no problems.”

After she left, Roland picked up the remote and started flipping channels one by one to see if any type of interesting program was on. While he tried to eat what was left on his plate, every channel that he had came across showed nothing of interest to him, and other ones were playing nothing but non-stop commercials, so decided to at least land on some channel until the time being of finding something else to do once he was finished. Once he took his last bite, he sat all of his utensils back on the plate he ate off of and tried to lay back and relax a little bit thinking of different things. While the television was showing nothing but ads constantly, Roland then started becoming a little tired. He couldn’t keep his eyes open as they began to slowly close and his sight would fade into black.

Shortly after, Avery came back into the main room, wondering if she could use the kitchen for something. As Roland got straight back up, trying to keep himself awake, he looked at her and replied. “Uhhh…..yeah….sure.” As she went into the kitchen, he leaned back up and rubbed his eyes so that he could stay awake, almost forgetting that he had company and how rude it would look on him. He then just caught himself for a moment to realize that she asked to use the kitchen, but for what?

Once again, Avery came back into the room to ask Roland if he liked chicken. Roland looked back over at her, trying to keep awake and making himself look awake, with a response. “Hmm? Oh….yeah. Yeah, I do.” Once she went back into the kitchen, he found out that she was probably going to cook with the chicken that was in the fridge, but then he asked himself something as he wondered. “Wait a minute…..didn’t we just eat?”

Avery finished setting the plates up and walked back out and held the plate out time. "I figure this would be more filling for us nlike what you shared with me for my guess is you had to try to split in half and this is to say thanks for letting me stay here." She said to him as she placed the food in front of him on the coffee table to let him take any time he wants. "Besides drawing, cooking, and cleaning is all I am good at." She said to him as she ate the food she made and impressed herself for her cooking was good for this was the first time she was eating what she had cooked. She was just basically starving for she wanted to at least enjoy real food for once and have something other then a meal replacement bar like she always ate. It was a really nice change. I also made enough for the family you are staying with." She said to him as she heard her phone buzz and she looked at the caller id and it was her dad. He face paled a bit for fear was showing on her face when she saw the call was her dad. "Um excuse me I have to take this." She said as she put the food down and went out the door and answered the phone.

"AVERY WHERE THE BLOODY DAYS ARE YOU I AM STARVING AND SO ARE TH GUYS HERE!!!!!" he yelled through the phone that could be heard loud and clear. "Dad I thought you decided to order uh take out there is more then enough money for you and the guys to do it I doubled checked and placed the moeny in an envelope saying food money." She said stammering a bit for she hoped he was ok with that for she did not want to go home. "THEN COME HOME AND ORDER FOR US YOU BRAT THAT IS YOUR JOB SO YOU CAN ALSO PAY THE MAN OR WHO EVER DELIEVERS IT SO I DO NOT HAVE TO SOP MY POKER GAME!!!!" he yelled more and Avery winced for it hurt her ears. "Dad I am sure you uh guys are due for a break you know to uh let your mind rest so you can think better strageties and keep a good poker face. She said trying to think of a bunch of excuses so she would not have to go home. "Besides uh I am at a classmates place working on a project that if I get it done sooner the more I can be home." She said and can hear her dad contemplating what she said. "Uhg Fine but you better be home to make my breakfast and there better be extra money in the envelop." He said and Avery told him there was extra just in case and then her dad hung up and Avery let out a loud sigh of relief when she talked him out making her go home.

She was trembling a bit as she leaned againstas she slide down as sat on the ground trying to calm herself down.

As Roland tried to keep himself awake, Avery came back into the main room with some food that she had made. She made it as appreciation for letting her stay with him and in doing so placed it in front of him so that he could eat it as well. Although Roland was still somewhat tired, he became surprised due to the fact that the food looked delicious, and Avery also saying that she was really good at cooking left a glimpse of hope that what he was about to eat would be very good and tasteful. “Well…..let’s see how it is then.” he said as he picked up his utensils in front of him and took a bite of the of chicken breast that laid in front of him. After a quick taste, he found it to be really delicious and satisfying to his taste buds as kept eating more of the food.

“Wow…..I mean…..this is…..really really good. Probably one of the best things I’ve ate in a while.” Roland enjoyed what was given to him and became more ecstatic with every bite he took. While doing so, Avery had said right after that she had made enough food for Steven and his parents as well, so Roland replied to what he though was hospitable. “I’m sure they will love it, plus Steven will eat anything almost so it’ll probably be gone before the day is over.”

All of a sudden, he heard a noise of buzzing that turned out to be Avery’s phone, and politely excused herself from conversation. Roland respectfully kept quiet and mouth okay to her as he grabbed his plate and went into the kitchen to finish what eat was eating. As he got to the kitchen counter and continued eating as well, he heard nothing but distorted yelling, assuming that it was coming from the phone call that Avery had going on. From even a distance, it sounded like a male voice, but then after Avery mentioning that it was her father, it made sense. Roland couldn’t really hear the rest of the conversation from being distracted from the delicious food that Avery had made, but once done he sat his plate and utensils in the sink and went straight back into the main room to join Avery, assuming that her telephone call was done and over with.

Entering back into the room, he noticed that something didn’t look ok with Avery. She went from being somewhat relaxed and more open before he left, and coming back she looked really fragile. He didn’t want to question about her business, but he didn’t want her to be upset over whatever happened during the conversation with her father either. Roland then went up to her and got down on his knees to her position to ask her of the current predicament to see if she was ok. “Hey…..is everything alright?”

Avery was trembling badly after the phone call for even though she was safe it wass only for now. She knew that this might not work next time and she could get really hurt or worst. She hugged herself as she looked at Roland as he bent down to her level and she sat there wanting things to get better for her or just have her life end. "I..I am afien why would I not be fine." She sad while stutering ad trembling more as she held herself not knowing what to do but it was best to not drag him down with her it was to much of a deep dark hole to be trapped in. SHe ended up buring her face into her kneesand held ehr legs close to her, trying to make her as small as possible and wanting to just disappear.

Avery kept her face hidden from him as she stayed curled up. "I...I am glad you liked the food at least." She said trying to change the subject or something to save her tail or just something to help her forget the phone cal and forget that one day she will just disappear and no one would notice or care. Avery knew that for a fact which is why she never got close to anyone or tried to make friends for one day if she weer to died from infection, starvation, or worst from one of her dads beating. "But after today its best if you neer talk or go near me again I am not worth the time or the effort I will jsut disappear." SHe said to him while her face was still burried in her knees.

As Avery had spoke to Roland, saying that she was fine and everything, he surely knew she wasn’t. He could hear the yelling that came from her phone from a distance, but the question was why? He didn’t want to be too concerned because it was none of his business and he was trying to stay less nosy of certain situations, but then again he was too skeptical because he knew she wasn’t being honest. As her face was still buried, she mentioned that she was glad that he did like the food. Roland didn’t know really what to think or say, but he giggled a little when she had brought up the food she had made for him.

To him, still, her being was of mystery to him and he had so many questions he wanted to ask her because of so many things that it seemed like she never wants to bring up, and plus putting his nose where it doesn’t belong. Instead, he decided because of her current state and not wanting to put her in much more worry she looked like she was already in, he saved them for another time so that when she is ready, she will tell him. Just after, she brought up that it would be best to keep away from her after today, stating that someday she would just be forgotten and disappear. When Roland heard that, exactly what she had said, he began recollecting memories of his past. Things that he had kept hidden from his mind for quite sometime had been recalled, and he realized that he had been in a predicament like this before.

He took a few seconds to realize of his hidden past, but quickly came back to reality. He realized that he too had a certain predicament like this to happen before, like one day he would just cease to exist and be forgotten over troubles from his past. He knew what that had felt like and he didn’t want to ever feel like that again, nor would he want that for anyone else. He did remember something, a certain things that had helped him over the years to get him through hard times of life and situations he wasn’t certain of. “Hey…" he said, becoming hesitant at first, but calmly and gently placed his hand on Avery’s shoulder to comfort her as he replied with something that would hopefully help her.

“Listen to me. You’re just as important as anyone else. Everyone is worth every bit of effort and life is too divine to just fade away from. You know….most of the time we learn a lot from bad things that happen to us, but for most of us we strive to make things better again and hope that we can find happiness. But you can’t find it if you give up.”

Roland grabbed one of her hands that she had to help hide herself from him, and he held it firmly to make his point and make her feel calm. “Things we don’t like to happen always happen, but we should never quit to hope that goodness can come forth and show us a better way. Don’t give up. Never give up…..even if you think the worst is yet to come. Even if it’s just a bad situation at home, don’t ever give up to hope that things can be restored for you to have better things happen.”

Avery was crying as she listened to him but sh did not believe him at all for she knows once day she will disappear she knows she will die due to verious reasons for her life has been nothing but miserable for years. "Will it...WLL IT!" She yelled a bit as more tears fell. "It never will get better life has been like this for me for years." She said to him as she trembled as she looked up a bit and true fear was shown on her face as tears streamed down her face. "Ever since my mother left everything just went down hill for me." She said to him for she never told anyone her mother just up and left her family. "Sh left us for a richer guy and i have blamed for it for years." She said to him as she tremebled more from the fear of everything that unfolded.

"For years my father has blamed me for my mother leaving he went from a loving father to a man I do not reconize and a big alcoholic that does not care about me but keeps me around for some odd reason." Avery told Roland as she hugged herself and soon took her sweeater off showing how skinny she was, her ribs could be soon, she had brusing, cuts, scars, stitiches in some areas, and some of the injuries were freash. "This is what I have dealt with for years dealing with a father who gets drunks beats me and does not let me eat but yet I am kepts around to cook for him and get his precious beer." She explained t him as she put her sweater back on and hugged herself again. "Which is why my clothes are not nice and why i wear the same thing everyday." Avery said to him a she movd to the corner of the room trying to make herself smaller.

"That is why I do not believe things will get better who knows one more drunk outburst can end my life so that is why I don't make friends or even try to do so." Avery finished explaining as shee stayd huddled up in the cornerr of the room.

Roland finished speaking, assuming that he had shined some hope and brightness after he gave her the somewhat long speech of not giving up, but instead backfired. She looked up at him yelling that nothing will get better for her and began to discuss about the departure of her mother and why she had left. Roland didn’t know what to say or think because he hoped that he could of got through to her, but instead her arrogance and stubbornness began to make a comeback, and big time too. It started to come up and make sense of to why she acted the way she did, so Roland kept quiet in hopes that she would keep explaining why she had no hopes for herself so that he may know on what to do and how to in any way he could. As her next topic became of her father, he didn’t say a word and listened to what she said.

Just then after, she decided to take off her sweater after bringing up about her dad becoming a drunk, and showing was a scrawny body that almost could resemble a corpse due to the lack of volume that was presented before Roland. He became totally surprised and confused when he saw this of an unexpected situation that was happening, and didn’t know what to think or even say for the matter. He also noticed the bruises and scars the came to sight as he wondered to why she had them in the first place, but quickly heard the answer to what made all of this possible as Avery told him that her dad beats her and keeps her around for his dirty work and everything else. After doing so, she but her sweater back on and made her way towards a corner, balling herself up. She finished by saying that those were the reasons that she never got close to anyone or made friends, and it basically answered all of Roland’s questions to Avery’s actions and personality.

Roland couldn’t say a word due to the shock he was in, and even if he did he wouldn’t know how to approach her or help in any way because he never dealt with an abusive parent situation before. All he could do was think on how bad Avery’s life really is, and how could somebody do something like that to their own child. He knew he had problems of his own, and fixed them through time, but this was something completely different and out of the ordinary. He didn’t want to see her upset like she already was, but he didn’t know what to do either. “I-I don’t….know what to…..t-to say” he replied as a sorrowful face had expressed his feelings for Avery’s situation at hand.

Then, all of a sudden, the front door made a couple of knocks as someone was wanting inside of the house from the outside. Roland quickly turned his attention to the door, although he wanted to help Avery with her problem, he needed to answer the door. “One minute okay” he said as he started to quickly head to the front door to see who it was. When he opened it, Steven’s face had appeared with a great big smile on his face.

“Hey ya Roland, whatcha up to? Aw what does it matter right now I need to get in for a minute” said Steven. Roland had became surprised again because he didn’t expect Steven to be home already, or at least at a very bad time. “Hey……….uh………wait one minute” said Roland as he gently closed the door so that he didn’t slam it in Steven’s face. Roland then spotted Avery in the same spot and tried to get her to act casual because he knew if Steven spotted her and she told him about her story as well, knowing the big mouth that Steven had, things could get ugly.

“Hey Steven is here. He’s wanting to come in so we need to pretend we didn’t have this conversation till he leaves. And try not to tell him about what you just told me. Knowing him it might headline on the news or something.”

Avery looked at him a bit when he started to talk to her when he had said he had no clue at what to say about what she had told him bascially from when she had a emotional meantal meltdown. She did not want him to know her situation at all she wanted to be left alone but instead he kind of pushed it out of her. She heard the door and jumped a bit mainly out of fear thinking her dad had found her somehow but she heard Steven she relaxed a bit but she did not move from her spot when Roland answer the door for she did not feel like moving.

THough she looked at Roand when he explained the situation to her and she sighed, "Like I would tell him I was not even suppose to tell you." She said to him as she slwoly got up. "I will be in the bathroom." She siad to him as she went to the bathroom and closed the door behind her locking it. She sat on the toleit after puting the cover down. Avery just sat there before pulling her sleeve up to se all the pain she has endured and was wondering why was she alive still and why she was still puting up with it. "Maybe I should just end it all finally be free and no longer live in this horrible pain." She said to herself for there was nothing that she could do and knew no one would notice if she was gone.

Avery then decided to splash water on her face to clean it up from all the tear stains she created from crying. "I can't believe I cried in front of him I alwas tried to not cry in front of people so why now."

Once Avery heard and understood the situation and making a decision to hide in the bathroom, Roland proceeded back to the front door so that he could let Steven inside. When he opened the door once again, Steven’s faced developed an angry confused look as if he wanted to just yell at Roland really loud, but he hoped that Steven wouldn’t. “Sorry…..very sorry about that Steven.” said Roland. “You can come on in now.”

Once they entered and made way into the main room, Steven began to look around and notice on their small coffee table that their was someone’s plate laying there, and he began to wonder as to what was going on with Roland. “You just got finished eating or something?” said Steven as he started wondering around the main room trying to look for something. “Uh….yeah.” replied Roland “Sure did…..and it was pretty good too. There is some more if you want some.”

Steven continued around the room and then popped a question to Roland. “Say you got any clue on where I had my wallet last?” Roland knew that Steven couldn’t keep up his things very well, but knowing that having your wallet at all times was important, just made him look either careless or idiotic. “Nope.” replied Roland.

“You know, it could be in your room. Really, why would you leave it in here?” said Roland following up to his neglect on the whereabouts of Steven’s belonging. “Oh wait, I think I left it in the bathroom when I showered last night.” said Steven as he began to make his way to the bathroom.

Roland now became very hasty and suspicious acting as he tried to stop him from going in the bathroom due to the fact that Avery was in there. “Wait a minute Steven, let me use it real quick ok?” Steven became confused yet knew for some reason that Roland seemed to be hiding something. “Why are you acting like that Roland? (Sighs) I don’t have time for this man so watch out!”

Steven shoved Roland out of the way and tried to open the door to find out it was locked. "What in the....." said Steven as he now continued to shake the doorknob that lead into the bathroom, unknowing of who was in there.
