"Hey man." Mikkish said to Joe as he walked up to Joe's table "Didn't we come on the same boat?" Mikkish asked this through a mouth full of pancake. "How ya like this island so far?"

I looked up from my food at the boy that approached my table. "O-oh yes, I remember, we share a dorm room as well." I said, I looked down at the table nervously. I wasn't quite sure why he had come up to me. Most people in my town tended to ignore me or insult me. "Um... it's really nice... and it's really cool that we're learning magic... O-Oh, uh... I forgot to introduce myself, please forgive me! I'm Joseph Hikari Nobunaga, b-but you can just call me Joe." I said, looking back at him.

"My name's Mikkish. Mikkish Callanhad, but Callanhad is from my douchebag adoptive father. Just call me Mikkish." Mikkish looked around as he sat at the table "This is some crazy shit, a magic school, its like harry potter without all the god damn British."

He paused for a minute, looking off at a girl in short jean shorts and a short shirt exposing her midriff "Damn, there some hot babes at this school."

"Y-Yeah... b-but it's really cool..." I said quietly, shifting a bit nervously. What was he going to do...? I looked up at him when he mentioned the 'hot babes'. "Er... yeah... I guess... if you're into that kind of thing..." I said, looking to the side. Though, I wasn't the least interested in women, I didn't want to contradict him and possibly alienate him, but I didn't want to lie either... hopefully he wasn't paying much attention.

"Ya kidding me?" Mikkish said, in response to "If you're into that kind of thing." What else was there to be into than hot babes? "Ok, I will admit, she is a little flat in the upper body, but that ass..." Mikkish looked around, noticing a shorter, thicker girl than the last "Alright, how about her? Shes real nice." Mikkish said, holding his hand out in front of his chest to mimic boobs.

I shifted uncomfortably and looked to the side, I had the feeling that he'd take very well to the idea of a guy liking another guy... "I don't think these women would like you talking about them in such a way..." I said, it was quite disrespectful... and I would really rather get off of this topic.

"Pfft, come on, man. It aint never stopped me. Not like they can hear us anyway. What are you, gay?" Mikkish asked, not really considering that Joe might be gay, just maybe a little beta. "Come on, man. Lighten up. We got magic. We in a college. Just chillen."

"Er... they have ears... so they could potentially hear us, furthermore, we're in a room with people with supernatural powers, at least one of them has to have something to enhance their senses... so... yeah... they probably can hear you. Furthermore... I'm just really uncomfortable with this topic of conversation." I said quietly, looking to the side. Yeah... not a good time to be honest with him, especially since I'll be living with him.

"...bored..." Mumbled Hikaru to herself with an open book in hands. Lazily she stood up and decided to grab a snack and take a bit of fresh air.

A few minutes later.

Mikkish found his body being propelled like a doll as his left side received a brutal impact.
Hikaru's legs pressed strongly against his ribs as she jumped to land a drop kick on him and threw him away from the scene. A weak girl like her wouldn't have that much strenght, hence she enchanted her boots to force a vector upon Mikkish's body.

After she landed in the floor, Hikaru quickly stood up and cleaned her pants, fixed her hair and said to Joe.

"Hello! Joe Hikari right? What a strange coincidence meeting you here. How are you?"

Mikkish dive rolled as he flew, to avoid the pain of hitting the ground. 'Alright, I guess she heard me.' Mikkish thought.

"I wasn't even talking about you, bitch!" Mikkish yelled at Hikaru

I looked at Hikaru shocked as she suddenly dive kicked Mikkish out of his seat. I didn't know whether to feel grateful for her rescuing me from that uncomfortable conversation, or if I should chastise her for attacking Mikkish. "Uh... h-hey Hikaru... I-I'm alright..." I said, rubbing the back of my head nervously. I then turned to Mikkish. "You okay?" I asked, getting up and offering him my hand to help him up.

"Hey! Don't mind the guy" said Hikaru lowering Joe's hand.
"I mean, a girl fixes herself just to spontaneously initiate a conversation with you. Shouldn't you be more focused on that?" Asked Hikaru while making an effort to put her most "adorable" face.

Remliel's head perked up. The sound of crashing and shouting called to her~!

"Is that a fight I'm hearing?" she yelled from across her table. "Because if it is, put it on hold and give me a few minutes to finish breakfast, then we can fight!"

Can't fight on an empty stomach, after all.

"Uh... what?" I asked, I looked like a deer caught in the headlights. "Oh no..." I thought, having a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. I think this girl had a crush on me... I glanced over at Mikkish and then at Hikaru. If I didn't let her down now, things might get worse, but if I reveal why there's no possible way that I'd be attracted to her in such a way, Mikkish would likely judge me for my sexual orientation and things would get complicated in the dorm. I needed a way out of this, now! I was thankful when another girl called out about a fight. I quickly turned toward her and waved my arms in front of me and shook my head. "N-Nope, no fight here, I assure you!" I said, I hoped that it'd buy me a few more seconds to think of something...

Leon left the room and went back up to the dorm he shared and changed clothes. he then headed over to the cafeteria. when he got there he grabbed a plate and got a waffle, some bacon, and an egg and took a seat alone at one of the tables off to the side and started eating.

I looked around quietly, desperate for some way out of this. Then I saw Leon. "Er... sorry! But there's something that I got to do, I have... to meet up with a friend, yeah! W-We were planning on taking a look around the island, and we're meeting up right now, gotta run, see ya, bye!" I said, I left my half eaten plate on the table and rushed over to Leon's, feeling ashamed that I was blowing Hikaru off and was lying about the real reason why I was doing it. I'd make it up to her later and I'd explain everything to her.

I walked up to Leon nervously. "Um... I-I know this is going to sound strange, b-but I want you to walk out of the cafeteria with me. I'm... kind of avoiding a very awkward situation and I-I'll owe you big time!" I said, clasping my hands together, hoping that he'd leave with me and I could avoid Hikaru and Mikkish.

"W-w-waiiit! Hold on!!" Exclaimed Hikaru as Joe disappeared

With a sulken face she sighed and mumbled. "Too boring..."

The girl looked at Mikkish and said.

"All right, I'll let you invite me to a coffee at least. Gotta kill the boredom anyway." said

"Besides, I'm curious. You're always clutching to that book. Is some sort of magical artifact? Woah, don't put that face, I'm not interested on it. However, if you know a method or trick to find magical artifacts that could be of use for me" stated with a grin.

Leon looked up when he heard Joe, he had only really eaten half of his meal but he would help him out anyway "um...sure, let's go." he said. he got up, put his plate on the return table, and went to follow Joe out of the cafeteria.

"What?" Mikkish said, showing rage for a second. This crazy bitch really thought Mikkish wanted to take her for coffee after she want psycho on him?

Problem was, as Mikkish looked over Hikaru, her cute face, her sexy body, though, he thought, she could use slightly bigger jugs. But as far as Mikkis was concerned, every girl could. Mikkish didn't take long to realize that, in fact, yes, yes he did want to take her to coffee.

His mouthed curved into a smirk, a smirk that signaled, to a perceptive individual, ulterior motives.

"Yes," Mikkish said "Alright, lets go for some coffee. And we can talk about ancient artifacts. Sound good?" Mikkish had not intentions of telling her too much about the book. HIS book. But she was a pretty lady.

"Thank you!" I said, letting out a sigh of relief, I wouldn't have to make a bad situation even worse than it already was. I owed Leon big time.

I walked out of the cafeteria with Leon and looked at him. "S-Sorry for pulling you away from your meal, you see, I was having a very awkward moment, the boy from our dorm, Mikkish, he kept talking about women in an inappropriate way. He wouldn't stop it and I couldn't tell him why I wasn't interested in it, and then this girl, Hikaru kind of dive kicked him out of nowhere and I think she has a crush on me... and I couldn't tell her why I wasn't interested in her with Mikkish there. From the little I gathered from talking to Mikkish, I think he'd be really judgmental because of that reason and I would rather try and not cause a ton of problems, especially since we'll be living together... a-and I'm just blabbering on and on, I'm sorry." I said, rubbing the back of my head awkwardly.

I turned to him and bowed. "A-Anyway, thank you very much, um... if anyone asks, we went out and explored the town. I-I mean I was planning on doing so anyway after I had eaten, and it was the first thing that popped into my head. I owe you a big favor. Um... like... if you need help with homework or something... I dunno... uh... just ask anytime." I said, rubbing the back of my head.
