Kyle had had a late night as well. He had been involved in a couple raids, nothing to show for it either. It had been easier when he had just been cleaning out his father's friend's homes, now was different. A part of him was thankful for that, but the tired part was irritated.

Siobhan had mentioned that she would be at The Golden Pelican for breakfast, or dinner, depending on how you wanted to spin it. They hadn't seen each other in about a week now, which a year ago wouldn't have meant much, in fact that would have been a miracle. Since they had started dating they had seen considerably more of each other, not as much as either would have liked though.

No matter how tired he felt Kyle wanted to see Siobhan. He arrived and entered the Pelican just in time to watch Siobhan discard a nasty looking spider. "Probably shouldn't just let it wander off if it is dangerous," Kyle said watching the spider with mild interest, and even milder horror.

Malee destroys the spider with a simple wave of her hand then summons breakfast Tea for the injured witch saying Mistress this Malee hopes is to your liking and if you wish Malee will feed an water the Raven

Snake Hunters in Black

The morning fog had yet to lift completely giving the area by the Thames a muffled and dreary feel. Hortence Hatcher was used to the fog though and gave it little thought as she made her way to her sister's house. This was a weekly task that Hortence had for the past 20 years taken as a family duty that even though she disliked knew she must.

Her sister Glennis had to remain hidden and it was her own fault she needed to because of her poor choices in her youth; Glennis had been a Death Eater. She'd claimed she only joined because her husband had forced her to join. But it was questioning by Aurors about her sister's where a bouts had revealed that Glennis had been there at Hogwarts and that she may have killed children. Glennis had of course denied having done any of that saying the worst she'd done was supply a safe house for Death eaters on the run. Hortence of course hadn't really believed her sister completely innocent but couldn't bring herself to think of her sister as a murder and that's why she protected her even now.

She was almost there when she heard a noise ahead and before she knew what was happening three men dressed all in odd black clothing were on her and she was helpless.

Two hours later Aurors of the special divison were gathered at the scene of the latest hit of the Snake Hunters. Like all the other attacks the victim was dead with evidence that she'd been a Death Eater and evidence of her crime strewn all around her. The thing that made this strike different was the witch identified as the dead one's sister, she was still alive. Some of the younger investigators when they heard they had a survivor had rejoiced but not the chief inspector. That's why when it was found the survivor was useless as a witness because her memories had been obliviated he had merely sighed telling his subordinates to take her to St. Mungo's.

It was as he was preparing to wrap things up that a young Auror hurried up saying that they may have a witness to men leaving the scene that he grew excited.

@RumikoOhara Raven smirked as her breakfast appeared before her. "A conjurer eh?" She said, pulling Soul (her wand) from it's sheath.

Nevermore watched as his mistress began to cast a spell.

A purple mist began to form at the tip of Soul. "You can say were alike in a way." Raven said, casting a purple mist-like ball the floated it's way to the carcass of the recently killed spider. The mist flew into the corpse as if it were vacuumed, with a twitch of it's leg the spider stood and crawled through a hole in the Pelican's front door, taking It's leave.

Raven smiled. " I see," she replied. " well why don't you take a break then and enjoy yourself." Raven said, offering Malee to sit with her.

Artemis purred gently before jumping out of the bag and attacking the plate of eggs. Kitra grinned at the sight before turning back to Jeffe.

"Thank you Jeffe. You've been very helpful." Kitra said as she picked up her fork.

@RumikoOhara "Well thank you for your service ma'am" Raven replied, placing what she owed on the table along with a nice tip for Malee.

@McHaggis Raven smirked "Date now sounds more proper." she said jokingly. "I'm Raven, it's a pleasure."

@McHaggis "I'll go with date night. I still have a report to write up before I get to go to actual bed." Kyle smiled at Siobhan and as Raven came up to introduce herself he ordered a hearty breakfast and a drink (non-alcoholic).

@xXSINXx "I think you were mighty lucky that Siobhan was here. She's a brilliant healer." He winked at Siobhan.

@Kirah Raven nodded in agreement. "That she is." she responded, she then turned to face Siobhan.

@McHaggis "To what do I owe the beautiful, yet skilled healer?" She asked, offering repayment for her deed.

Kyle bristled a bit at Raven's compliment to Siobhan, but any jealousy he pushed away because the girl was correct. He took the girl's distraction with Siobhan to get a better look at her, but made it look as if he was just watching the conversation.

"Sure." Kyle smiled, a fairly new thing for him to do. He reached out and took a free hand of Siobhan's. This was nice. "So other than saving random strangers in a bar, how was your day?" Most of his day was confidential. Kyle canceled his order of food, but kept the order for the drink.

Guinevere quietly comes down the steps of the sleeping quarters of the tavern. She noticed the commotion and sat down at her usual seat at the bar. After giving her order to an elf with a small smile and a quiet thank you. Guinevere was starting to get comfortable with the tavern's homey atmosphere. She thought to give the other patrons a hello but decided against it.

A man, a very large man pushes his way inside the Golden Pelican his features hidden by a heavy brown cloak that drags the floor at his feet. He sets down at a shadowed table and throws back his hood revealing a face that is both craggy and stern as well as unforgettable. His long hair and beard are like a frozen blizzard of steel gray but his most striking feature are his eyes which are a startling violet color.

He motions for service and in an oddly accented voice orders a Pint and a single malt neat as he produces a tankard of ornate silver from the folds of his cloak.
Gathered he growls tapping the tankard.

The elf takes the heavy vessel to the taps and drops first a heavy douse of whiskey into it's lidded confines and then tops it with the house brew. The tankard is decorated with scenes of what appear to be two large sailing ships engaged in each others destruction one ship flies the Jack and the other the Skull as their top pennants.

Soon the tankard sits before it's master lid swung open after a long pull on it's contents. The tavern's brew foams his heavy mustache which he wipes away with the back of a heavy black brocaded sleeve as he sits with an air of solitude among the other patrons.

Moments later.........

Melody walks back into the Pelican wearing very little when compared to most witches skintight top of red and matching shorts that appear to be merely painted on. Her dark hair catches the light glowing in waves as she moves towards the stairs intent on heading up an changing into more appropriate clothing when the huge man suddenly stands knocking over his chair.

Melody attracted to the noise turns to look and her face lights up.

Uncle Drake! she squeals in delight throwing herself into his arms disappearing in their embrace.

The huge man chuckles as he squeezes her briefly then pushes her back looking her up and down before saying

Melody grins an gives him a mock curtsy before heading up stairs to change..

Aella sitting at the bar observing the exchange gives a startled quirk of her left eyebrow when she hears Melody call the man Drake. It's confirmed when she hears the man's heavy accent which some might mistake for Scott but is a bit farther west.

"This is proving a most interesting morn" she whispers to herself an then takes another sip of tea.

Guinevere turns toward the somewhat towards the fimilar tone then quietly shakes her head. Guinevere wasn't here for trouble so she returns to her breakfast. When her breakfast was nearly over she took her remaining bread and wrapped it up. She stood up and stretched her arms.

The door Bursts open and in walk three men wearing long oil cloth rain coats that swung open reveal knee high boots black leather pants a Green waist sash and bright red poet style shirts.

They're linked arm in arm and singing loudly

They all pause their eyes on Guinevere the two on the ends grinning at the one in the middle who chuckles Aye and into view hove a vessel most faire O' bim her lines a pleasing Silhouette to the watch

Drake chuckles in a deep baritone that vibrates through the room before turning to Guinevere an saying
Please Miss Nay be a worry in yer nob fer tha men at my command they be armless as babes an only loose O' tongue befrit O' manners an long at sea.

@RumikoOhara Guinevere quietly nods her head with obvious distrust.
Well if they try anything I'll turn them into rats. Guinevere said with a bit of force after she stared at him a fraction to long to be comfortable.
With her threat hanging in the air she calmly took a sip of cup of milk. She felt somewhat flattered at the attention even with here fairly ratty clothes. Guinevere knew it still wouldn't be wise to let her guard down just yet.

Kitra smiled as she took another bite, the food here was so much better than the leaky cauldrons and she was enjoying every bite. Glancing down to check on Artemis, she frowned when she noticed she was no long under the table. Doing a quick look around the pub she realized Artemis making her way around the pub slowly and paused to watch her.

As if sensing Kitra’s eyes on her, Artemis turned around and stared Kitra in her face, almost defiantly, before darting across the pub causing trouble.

Artemis started by running across the feet of the girl with the raven@xXSINXx, then dashing towards the bar, around the feet of the couple sharing a plate@McHaggis @Kirah, hopping on a stool then on top of the bar and running past a half asleep girl with short blonde hair@Tatsua Aiisen, bumping the tea cup of a lady with long black hair@RumikoOhara, and jumping on a man in dark leather coat and glasses. @louie221

Kitra chased after her for a while calling, “Sorry” every time Artemis ran into someone and again when she bumped into a girl sitting at the bar@Dyuti, before just stopping in the middle of the room and watching Artemis head towards the bar instead of running after her like an idiot. Once Artemis had chosen to stop Kitra strode over to her picked her up off the man she had sat on and glared at her.

“Must you always cause trouble.” Kitra asked Artemis before turning and apologizing to everyone sitting at the bar.
