The lounge as usual, was dimly lit. A bustle of members sat, drank, spoke, ate and read together or apart. A faint hum of energy is audible in the background, though most if not all people in the room seemed to ignore it though. A young lady sat alone at a table, a coffee steamed next to her, a book was held thumb in pages and fingers placed against spine, supporting it with one dainty hand. Her large eyes scanned it's words quickly, covering page by page in great speed. This was the Guild-master, or the current one at least. She looked temporarily up from her tome to quickly read the clock. It was nearing time...
One or more new members were to be coming soon, and she loved introducing new recruits. "Coffee stunts your growth you know." A husky voice drew the girls attention elsewhere. It's source, a man in a long red robe wit his face concealed in scarf stood facing the small sorceress. He and her both knew she hadn't grown in many, many ears. She smiled warmly and gestured to the seat across from her. Her friend Arnold, a very powerful fire mage and beast curator, they have worked together for many a year now. "I do hope you will be welcoming this time around." She said as she went back to her reading. The man took his seat and looked to the black door placed directly parallel to the Guild-master. "Ah...new recruits then." He sighed and crossed his arms. "Hopefully more useful than the last bunch."
There had been a drop recently in new members. This was a dangerous sign. Harder and more numerous amounts of missions and requests had been showing up, and only so many members could deal with only so many quests. Trying times seemed to be looming...

In a back alley, behind an old pub with papers and puddles a quiet battle waged on. Two forces alike and not at all stood against each other, concealed from the untrained eye and out of the peoples way.
Justin let a shaky breath escape his gritted teeth. A deep gash had formed over his left eye and was currently seeping blood over it's closed lids. Bruises and tears over his flesh and clothes showed signs of a struggle. Another sign of this was the large heaving beast across from him. It had it's fair share of wounds as well. It was a low crawling scaly thing, with four sets of horns starting at it's forehead and dotting down to it's chin. It had a long snout and more than two nostril. Two beady eyes stared down the young man and his glowing hands. A waving and spiked tail seemed to swing like a pendulum. The beast was at least two or three times as big as the young man, and definitely much heavier. Justin gripped the crystals in his hands tighter, ore magic stirred within them, making them blare brighter. A rush of energy caused a small sort of uplifting air to surround him. His hair flowing up, some blood droplets following. This was going to be a draw, trying times seemed to be looming...
