As much as I like intellectually well thought-out movies with superb acting, mindbogglingly amazing writing that leaves me speechless and an appropriate amount of humor... I'm still going to watch it. Everyone once in a while, watching a bunch of big robots beat the everloving shit out of each other in slow motion is cool.

I actually enjoy the Bay Transformers movies, although they have a way of screwing up characters (WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO SHOCKWAVE?), but it's mindless fun with crazy awesome special effects.

I was a big fan of transformers back in my childhood days, enjoyed the first movie, pretty meh about the second, and never bothered to watch the series past that.

Principle. That, and I grew up on Spiderman and they kinda ruined him with three movies. Besides, the toys and such were apart of my childhood. Aswell as some of the newer cartoons.
