They'll still get points. So long as they don't gamble them away.

Hahaha.

So what Di the rest of you think?

100 Points for winning.
25 for losing
50 for a draw
150-200 for a tournament win.
Wager system they causes a loss of points if you bet and lose. Perhaps a minimum of 25 points for the wager. Or betting of.items instead.

If Mahz can't code this in then perhaps someone could create a thread and run the numbers. Same thread could be sort of a depository for current/completed ranked fights. Including in such the participants, judge, and wager. Like a link to the fight.

Frokane Approves of this system, but what are the 'Items'?

Whatever people put up as a wager. So long as it is owned by their character and not just done random item that they happened to pick up. Should be negotiated anyway.

For instance Skallagrim's Skeleton Horse for Adinraen's Ring Blade.

Adinraen loses, Skallagrim has a fancy new ring blade.

surely these items wont have much value, if you have 50+ characters, against someone who maybe only has 4?

Depends on the item. Adinraen's Ring Blade is one of three weapons he has.

Think of it as racing for pink slips.

Your character wager some agreed upon item, a weapon, a magical accessory or whatever, and loses it. He doesn't have it any more. the winner has it. That character can't use it anymore unless its just a random pick up fight that affects nothing.

Do tournament points only come from winning the entire tournament? Or does it apply to winning a round?

Winning the entire tournament.

Sure Froakie can, but then what if people just decide to no longer wager/fight him because well - what's the point? be loses. he just recreates it again anyway. No one wants to deal with someone like that.

You should have a deadline on the debate. Perhaps Friday?

I'm hoping a couple days actually. That should be enough for most to at least pop in and say yay or nay.

Works for me. Then the hard work begins. Setting judges is not easy.

Figure people can pick their own. So long as both agree and they are at least known in the arena. No ringers from the outside.

Mostly it'll just be setting up threads, and numbers if Mahz can't emulate HoR.

HoR had issues with judges until they set like 2-3 that everyone agreed on to be completely impartial and one whose word was absolutely. Because we all know people accept a call without question. I will be honest there are some people I would not wanting to judge a fight I was engaged in.

That is a good point there. Will the judges be able to fight as well, albeit not judge their own match?

I would never judge a fight I was in.

I see no reason why tournament fights shouldn't give the same points as any other, though I agree with the larger bonus for winning the whole thing.

Otherwise it's all fine with me, though it would be somewhat simpler if a loss resulted in no point loss or gain. (provided no bets were made)

As for betting items and stuff, I think that's a great idea. It encourages people to have their own continuities, and revenge/nemesis battles would be a lot easier and more common.

I think of tournaments as mostly one big fight. Hence the larger sum for winning them(preferably none for losing), instead of getting points for each fight - otherwise in an 8 man tournament that's 400 for three rights.

I wouldn't judge one I was in, either. I imagine no one would.

After this we can discuss the matter of.judges.

You've still fought and won against another person though, and considering how long your tournaments usually last it's like one fight a month, which is hardly frequent.

Someone could probably obtain more points challenging random people over that period.

And the bonus seems fair to me, defeating three people in a row is fairly difficult.

My tournaments also have more than 8 people. xD.

As with all the disputes, let us poll the audience. preferably after everyone votes on the previous thing. If someone could just bump that if.it isn't on this page.

So far everyone seems receptive to it, though I suppose we can also.vote on the tournament thing along with it.

Is anyone keeping a record? I'm confined to a rather crap phone until tonight then my girlfriend gets home, and then until Wednesday when I get my new .one.

I was thinking on that melon. For a tournament beside individual points if you win a tourney out right I think 250 per everyone who engaged in at least 1 post. Thus 8 players all posting a stance gives the winner 2,000 points.
