Except your horse. and your runes :p

Just wanna make sure everything is straight before I take this to Mahz

So if you guys could decide.

Are we agreed on

100 - win
25 - loss
50 draw

And what's the ruling on sanctioned tournaments? I'm a fan of wagered points fROM everyone, and doled out to the top three.

That's pretty much all we need to decide for as it comes to the rankings. The rest don't need Mahz approval o to speak, as at can handle that ourselves.

I would also like to add a provision for wagered items. Winner should get the ability to actually use the item, perhaps not all abilities associated with the original user but enough so they aren't trying to wield a virtually useless weapon to them.

Knowing Evvie's track record, when we fight we'll both get beaten up. Nobody has managed to steal her lunch money yet though.

Yes for points. For tournaments, I'd say first gets 300, second gets 200, third gets 100. This is all bonus points. You still get points for your battles like normal.

It would be odd if they suddenly become a sword master if they win a sword, but they could certainly use it like a normal person and get better in training montages behind the scenes.

You are easy. ;)

I'm personally not sure about both points for first second And third PLUS points from each battle.

Hmm I wonder if Rilla is worth double points. . . Cause you know he is the one whose wallet has BAMF on it. . .

300 bonus points for defeating so many opponents in a row isn't that much. If it was just points for each battle then, as already stated, you might as well not participate in tournaments to get a bunch more battles done quicker to end up with more points. I could see second and third bonus points decreasing a bit more like 150 and 50.

I'm worth triple.

And no, IN, nit become a master swordsmen, I'm more referring to magical abilities. For instance Adinraen's ability to mentally control his ring blade, or.being able to use a weapon that only responds to the original owner.

Hmmm. I suppose I could live with the winning bonus. obviously I would prefer the wagered points from everyone then distributed to the top three. But majority shall always rule.

I think to wager such a thing it should make sense for that thing to be able to do so, not force it to do so just so it can be wagered. Items that respond only to their owner could be justified, likely because if it's original owner changes ownership then whatever magic is at work could recognize that.

We'll likely have to make it a case by case basis. So we can avoid people.only wagering items that can Indy be used by them anyway.

Well somethings like my skeletal horse require an amulet to conjure so if I were to wager it. On this site I would be fine losing it until I regained it but if I were invited or challenged elsewhere it is still mine. So it never is gone when off site. I know some people might get that impression.

That leads to another provision. What is lost or gained to a wager only effects ranked battles.

Both are fine with me. I think I mentioned something about that a while back. About them being fine in pick up fights and such.

About not being able to use certain wagered item, you could still accept the wager just like if they wagered a burrito. Even if you can't use it then it still might be very useful in your possession so that they can't use it. However, the other person should make it clear when wagered that this is the case. No saying, "Oh yeah, you can't use this" after you already lose it in a wager.

On the matter of points for tournaments, I'm in agreement with Melon's(?) suggestion. From what I get it would be raising the winning point values up by 100 each round.

I mean, I see tournaments as being opportunities hit it big on points.

As for wagering items, I'm not sure. I feel like that would involve making these ranking battles part of a/the PW, which I'm not particularly fond of doing (merging the two ideas in that sense).

So tournaments. Final decision ladies and gentlemen?

I don't mind some.crossing over, and it would still be up to the discretion of the participants. So you aren't forced to HAVE to wager anything if you don't wanna.

If we do go with wagering points for tournaments, we'll have to be sure to set a minimum on how many points people can bring in. Seems like the least that should be wagered for tournaments is fifty points, to keep the gain worth the pain.

Would our standard be single-elimination for tournaments?

Well, I can't say I'd ever wager anything personal to my character outside of a continuum. Whether I'd do it in a rank battle would depend on what manner of continuum we'd end up with.

My idea for wagered points was 100 each. split between top three in the tournament. You lose. you lose the points. First gets half of all points. Second gets most of what's left. Third gets remainder.

So

800 points total.

1st = 400
2nd = 250-300
3rd = 100-150
