Blades was brought up but Skally wants to see a full fight from him.

He also tosses my name and his in as potential judges as well.

I can judge too, I mean technically anyone with a moderate bit of experience can. Most of us wont need judges outside of tournament matches and i think even ranked fights should be able to come to a mutual conclusion if need be. But I do agree it can be fun.

I'm thinking every ranked fight should have one, even.if just to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Skally has a point about HoR. Fights would quickly become a shitstorm without judges. and not in the IC.

Personally, I would rather us be able to pick anyone to.judge, so long as they are registered and whatnot. Innue would.be an exception, however. As would I.until I move.

So let us come to a consensus now. Set or non set judges?

Each participant in a battle chooses one of the following for it:

Type(Normal, Powered, God)
Location
Stiipulation

For instance.

IN vs Blades with me as a judge

IN picks Powered fight.
Blades picks Tilted Tower as location
I stipulate both fighters wear a collar that injects them with a increasingly stronger sedative whenever they use their powers

I think its a cool twist regardless.

Could offer a slightly harder fight for both combatants. Obviously all things should be fair, so that no one gets stuck with an unfair situation unless they specifically ask for it.

My judging style is more lenient and "rule of cool" so I'm not sure how good I'd be if I let things slide too much. However, I suppose I could try. There should be an option to have additional judges if someone thinks the main judge messed up.

Yes, never thought about that. Well, do I sometimes have crazy scenarios behind the battles like a baseball game to the death, but this sort of thing is slightly different.

The thing about extra judges is that things can go very wrong very fast. One judge says this, one says that, another judge decides - then another and another.

I think worrying about it now is wasting time on it.

Judges can be figured out after we get everthing set up and underway.

I do a lot of math when I deal with combat. It gives me incredible consistency with my decisions.

If that's the case, then you'll never be satisfied with a judgement no matter who does it. Unless you're worried about there being a "judge club" where all the judges start to rule in favor of the other judges every time. Though again, if that's the case then you'll never believe any judge has earned their rank, whether they did it in a tournament or not.

If you don't believe a fellow judge can be impartial in a tournament setting, why would you trust them to do it in a normal ranked match? It's pretty much impossible to have a ranking system like this without some level of trust, unless none of the judges ever participate in any ranked matches at all, but that's going to cut down on the fighter pool quite a bit considering how small the community currently is.

There are a few judges; Innue, myself and Rilla that don't care about who is top dog and who isn't. Each of us, although I don't know Innue, have logged a lot of time as a fighter, moderator and judge. If you have any cynical concerns about our being "unfair" you can lay them to rest.
