I mean I watched Melonhead and Leeroy fight and Grevious and Yoshua fight and both fights didn't end. they were called. it would drive me crazy if that happened to an RP i was in.

The tournament was given a strict cut off time for match completion. Those didn't complete within the timeframe.

It isn't a common occurrence though (an enforced deadline). Most fights will be set up to be completed and only don't get completed due to someone disappearing.

The deadline is pretty much only used for when you have or want some semblance of progress other than that single fight. So usually only for a tournament or if you're involved in an overarching 'plot' of some sort. Otherwise, the only limit is your patience.

@Rilla I suppose I could pm you the terrible, sorted details. It Involves lots of treachery, lies and all manners of fuckboys. The thing with my 'former' allies, that is. Many of them are, in fact, former now. Not sure if you somehow knew that or simply a strange choice of words on your part.

As for the rule concepts and ideas I can post publicly. I'd like everyone to see and discuss them. Will probably have it posted soon, once I get the notes together.
