[OOC] Arena Chat Thread

Just had the urge to ask this.I havent rp battle in forever. I get thr gist of it but anyone want to work with me as far as trying to help me experiment with what works and doesnt in a realistic way in a 1 v 1 or what not?

Well Im not a noob to be honest. I have some complicated theories I want to try in battle and if its possible have someone who feels they know very well whats fair test some characters I have written out.

Mostly for fun. Just a shot in the dark.

Have you ever wanted to join the Arena, but were put off by the perceived Ill-tempered, short fused, argumentative, and quite frankly bullish personalities said to roam those war torn lands? Well, we - the argumentative and Ill-tempered few - would like to invite newcomers to our messy home.

The Arena's very own premiere middle man is offering to host a bevy of new fighters, and has called in some of his chips to get them mentored by some of the best fighters of the Angar-Rylla universe.

The tournament itself will be hosted in the legendary Lobby of the Liaison, similar to the premiere tournament of the Arena, the Way of the Warrior. Consider this, the winner of the tournament will Automatically have a spot in the Way of the Warrior, meaning they'll be accepted without worrying for a spot.

The rules of the tournament are few, T1 Eden Era rules apply. The scale will be lower tier, minor powers to provide a diverse, yet easy to engage level of combat for those who may not have tried their hand before.

Other rules will be discussed forthwith.

Nexus of Worlds springs to mind, I heard it had like three successful seasons, two of which were won by some amazing kid I can't quite remember the name of.

The reason I stated is the classification varies. At one point I was considered a noob because of lacking experience, but that was a while ago and likely has changed. I don't know for sure. I mean, I've got some experience, but still don't feel confident or actually feel like I know how to apply it at all well.

Either you make t pure hand to hand, which might turn off a lot of people.

Or you force those poor, innocent, sweatless newcomers to slave over an arena style character sheet.

EDIT: or we can do knightly combat with pommel throws to the groin as our no powers section.

That's part of the arena. Character sheets are the back bone of everything in the arena.

My plan is for them to have a character like I submitted above. It's simple, easy to use. Has no complicated powers. Can be accepted in just about any magic based arena.

Rilla's taking the middle ground, he's allowing characters with like one element of their choice, more classical spellsword type combat.

I have a character that would be a great example... Chase Serei. One of my original characters on myyearbook. One of the precursor characters to the Fayt, which later formed Raeym (The Story line Jynx, and the Chibi trio came from. Fit those that remember that far back. ).

Good times.
