For me, the top three I'd say are; Melon, Rilla when he's on, then DJ.

So I'll get to loose against melon, then rilla and DJ.

I think they are trying to get a survey of who players think are the toughest fights. Still have no real opinion on the matter.

Not much to go on, but I think I could beat @MelonHead's Mech with only the power portal, the Bass Cannon and/or Solar Staff. Though the Solar Staff alone would be harder to do it with.

It's not just abilities you have to think about. the arena is like chess.

“The art is for me to feed pieces to you, and make you think you took those pieces, because you’re smarter and I’m dumber.(ego inflation) In every game or con there is always an opponent(ego) and there is always a victim(self). The more control the victim(self) thinks he has, the less control he actually has. Gradually he(self) will hang himself, I(ego) as the opponent just help him along.

For me? Probably Schradinger.

But they're the only person who I've fought so far.

But yeah, unrelated:

>be me
>watch Fallout 4 gameplay reveal
>segment that depicts a completely revamped T-45d powered armor suit starts
>!!!
>notice that suit actually looks overwhelmingly commanding and exceedingly threatening in its encompassing appearance and stellar combat performance
>begin to salivate profoundly

[arena character conceptualization intensifies]

Yep arena is like a chess match, I try and force my opponent in to a check mate in "X" number of moves based on their first post, by taking away their options.

I have unfortunately not fought two of the three presented, and the one fight I remember having with Melon was never resolved or had a clear upper hand.

I have actually fought few in my time and the fights never seem to have resolved.

You never replied when Adrian swung for your character's head, if I remember correctly, so that was on you.

To clarify, I've never, ever, abandoned a fight in OOC, though I have ran off in IC.

I got quoted as a tough fighter? By Skall?

Mainly cause back in the old forum we were both on I was a greenhorn and he was this legend that resided in the arena chat room and utterly destroyed anyone he came across. Including me. Several times.

And back then I made it a goal of mine to beat him in single combat.

Welp that hasn't happened yet lol

Heh, cheers.

If I had to pick a top three, from what I've read (and I confess, I haven't seen everyone who has fought fight yet) I'd say Skallagrim definitely has the most 'real world' experience from my point of view, which gives him a significant advantage most of the time. Following him would probably be Khan, who definitely does his research (I'd say my own talents lie in the same area, I'm pretty good at researching different practical forms of hurting people.) and the third would probably be Rilla with the right character in hand, namely some quick magic using bastard.

Well, it's the difference between a mid tier character and a character pushing towards god tier.

Scion seems to have the ability to bend reality to his own perceptions, which is way way way way way above the level of any of my conventional characters.

My top three would be:

Rilla
Rilla
Rilla

Or rather

Skallagrim: I don't think I've ever beaten him in a straight up fight. Ever.

Melonhead: He's actually pretty good, even compared to me, and I've been fighting basically since the start of my RP career.

DJ: I get the feeling DJ, while good now, is actually much better than he lets on, based off him being around the likes of Skally, and Saladin.

Honorable bitchin': Khan, mainly due to characters, a lot of them seem like -bosses- of given level, rather than actual character.

I don' think I have ever lost to Rilla in a straight up fight. Lol. Seriously though if Rilla ever gets serious he will be an extremely capable fighter.

@MelonHead

He doesn't have all that equipment and abilities at once. I mention it in the synopsis, but this is an experimental format. I don't know if you read the whole thing, but he only has a selected amount of abilities and equipment at any given point. The abilities and equipment are actually selected by my opponent or agreed to ahead of time. That's why everything is listed as possible abilities or potential equipment in the CS. The story reason for this is everytime Scion enters Void and comes out again. He ends up with a random set of these things.

Sorry this seems complicated, but the idea was to create unique fighter with varied abilities. Scion is just the character you select in a fighting game that gives you a random set of abilities crossed from other fighters. Mind you I do design each ability to function on its own, or in combination with the others. It leave it to my opponent to select what they believe to be a fair combination.

At default, which is what Scion is currently operating as, Scion is just a long lived human and Dennis is just a high tech watch with good sight. I am trying to work on making this more clear. I tend to work on the CS during my freetime and my inconsistent mood and inspiration causes my writing to shift styles when I'm working.

So in short. When I said fight with the power portal(AKA The M-Device), Bass Cannon, and Solar Staff. I meant fight with only those things, and nothing else. If you thought that was too much or too little, then you could ask for a different load out.
