[OOC] To Survive The End (REBOOT)

It started with a incident. A lab explosion and the world as everyone knew it ended. Some people's worst fears came to life. Zombies. In 2140 on a normal April day people started to attack each other. The evacuations began but with so many people trying to get out of the cities the casualties grew until there was no one left except for the survivors. The ones who knew how to stay alive. You're one on them and you're alone but you've heard people in the night. You know there are others near you and its your goal to find them and to survive.

Welcome everyone to the reboot of a very old roleplay of mine! I am the owner booksmusicanime but you may call me Books! This RP is open to all but be warned I can be picky with characters! If you have a character I find very under developed I will tell you that but other than that I'm very accepting of all kinds of characters. I'm also less accepting if I've roleplayed with you before and I don't like how you roleplay. Now here's where I have to get serious and lay out rules.

1. NO GODMODDING! I say this in every RP I have created and I still find godmoders on my RPS.
2. Don't be overpowered. I want everyone to be fair and equal
3. DO NOT control a character that isn't yours. I hate when people do this and if I catch you doing this even once I will not be nice.
4. Please once you have finished your CS post it in the CS Bin. It saves people the hassle of trying to find your character.
5. THIS IS NOT THE WALKING DEAD! This roleplay is in no way, shape, or form a Walking Dead roleplay. Please no characters from the show OR spoilers from it. And that's to be fair to people who are behind on the show. (Namely me.)
6. Warn me when you will be gone so I can catch you up. I hate when people disappear without telling me. I've lost almost half a roleplay due to that.
7. Be nice. Even I do it sometimes but if you decide to become a class A jerk just leave or once you realize what you've done apologize to the person you were a jerk to. I want everyone to feel welcome.
8. Please be literate with your writing. Meaning correct grammar and all that jazz.
9. No anime photos please you guys! I want this to be as realistic as possible.
10. And most importantly have fun! I don't like it when people are downers so if you're down just trust me you'll be cheered up and having fun again in no time.

This was the first rp, unfortunately it was a dayveiw for a terrible reputation. But ah how the memory's come flooding back, as much as you will want to ban me from this I will need to put a bio up, you know since I believe im a nice guy now!

Because I don't want people having characters too young or too old. Besides it makes for awkward roleplay when characters are really young or really old and the fact that I think most people find that age area a good area to roleplay in.

I see your point, but on the other hand, it severely limits the types of characters people can make. In a Zombie apocalypse sort of scenario, dealing with ordinary people thrust into a dangerous situation (as opposed to professional soldiers and the like) you're going to have extremely diverse groups of people from all walks of life, and those would realistically include people younger than 17/older than 25. And I've seen plenty of people RP as characters who aren't in their 20s; granted, the majority of characters I've seen are, but that doesn't really warrant restricting things for people who might want to go outside their comfort zone (or happen to be older/younger than that themselves). And when I do see older/younger characters, they don't make things awkward at all; it may seem awkward in-character, but that's probably the point, because most people tend to interact better with people their own age, I think. If anything, the awkwardness makes the RP better, by introducing a new dynamic through which characters can conflict and build relations with each other. For instance, a generational gap leading to a different worldview, or different levels of experience in their field of expertise.

Apologies, I've sort of gone into a ramble. I'll be honest, I don't intend on joining this one because I have a very short attention span and I'm kind of burnt out with Zombie-themed RPs right now, I just wanted to know your reasoning behind the age restriction. Because I, as someone who enjoys making unusual characters (more than actually RPing, it seems... :V), likes to have freedom (within reason, obviously), and I know I'm not the only one. Oh, and sorry if I've come across as rude so far. I actually think this RP could be a lot of fun, I just thought it could be better for its participants if there wasn't an age restriction. But, at the end of the day, you are the GM. I know my limits.
