Welcome to what's left of the real world. Some people called it the apocalypse, some people called it the next evolution of games. others Named it gods wrath upon humanity. All that we know for sure, is that if there was a god; He was a programmer.
We made games. We made them better, more immersive, more realistic. Until one day, they became all too real. VR tech, ment to let us 'in to' games, but instead, It let them out. Them, and all they had. The world map ceased to matter, Heroes, Princesses, Bosses, all let loose upon the world, Castles, Dungeons, Temples. All filled the world. Most of humanity is dead. slaughtered by evil villains. or in collateral damage by heros. However, some survived, almost all that did became Gamers. Those who could draw on powers of the games, Heros, Villains, NPCs, all of them could have their powers mimicked by Gamers. The few who weren't gamers and did survive the 'breakout' as it is called, either became slaves/concubines/servants of dark lords and villains, Or hide underground or in space from what now roams the surface of the earth, but even those havens of humanity are slowly falling. We are the few. We are Gamers. And this is not Game Over.
Rules;
1) Basic RP rules stand, No godmod, No metagame, No powerplay, No Asspull.
2) If you've got flame, Either put it out or take it to PM.
3) be nice. it helps
4) Sub Rules on char creation
a) any background is allowed, but try and avoid; Orphans, People out for Vengeance, 'Older brother to the group' style people and basically other standard 'tropes' basicly if it sounds way to contrived or You've heard it several times before, try and avoid it.
b) All powers have to have video game origins, and must be video game originals. So Pokemon is ok, As is Mario, but Naruto isn't. "but der be de naruto gam! luuk!" Yes, but Naruto is originally a Manga or Visual Novel. so it dosn't count, Same with James Bond or Warhammer 40K (It was a Tabletop First. sorry). I WILL however, wave hand for specific examples, if you can explain why or I find a good enough excuse on my own.
c) They don't have to be a /gamer/ in the modern sense. Being a Gamer means something very different in this world
d) Everyone starts in the same place with no memory of how they got there, Effectively they went to bed/sleep/or even died wishing they had someone to watch their back, and then they all wake up in the same area
e) No TBA or 'will reveal in RP' for history or personality.
5) Have fun, It seems like a lot of rules. Its not, its just me avoiding debates later down the line
