beta is like a regular member of the pack with no specific job, while omega is the "peacemaker" which (I think) is of higher rank(?). not sure if you got the two confused XP

Omega stands for lowest in rank, Beta is right after the Alpha, a Beta mostly is the right hand of the Alpha so actually Beta's are higher in rank than Omega. A Omega eats last, sleeps on the worst places and have the less say in the things that happen in a pack. Yet they sure could work as peacemakers. Most Beta's like to prove to the others that they are better than the other and of course a Omega can have that too but most Omega's stay where they are too keep out of trouble.

While that is true in social animals in the real world, in this RP (at least in Carlson's pack) the Omega is considered more important than the Beta (has the more important job anyway) because the Omega works as a peacekeeper and also has the best fighting skills outside of the alpha (sometimes).

Well Snow isn't wrong, in the actual world of social animals omega is the lowest. BUT, the GM established a different order within this role-play so I've been adhering to that law including the pack from which Fayth came from.
