[IC] The Dead's Rising? [HOTD RP]

Miki was about to push open the door and head out when she spotted the gleam of three metal Baseball bats leaning in a corner. She quickly retrieved the bats taping them loosely to the hand trucks so that she could rip them loose with ease if needed. She opened the door cautiously and checked for horrors an finding none stepped outside pulling the trucks behind her.

As she proceeded ahead she fought the urge to hurry knowing it could result in her early death. The trucks thankfully had inflated wheels instead of hard wheels which would have made an awful racket on the sidewalk, lucky for her as well they'd been kept oiled so they made no squeaks..

Then suddenly her dreams were shattered when she saw the buses and their condition, they were swarmed by the horrors. She paused and looked over the situation noticing that one bus seemed free of the horrors though she couldn't make out it's number at this distance so she just walked baby steps towards it.

Alex swore in Russian, spinning around while holding the blowtorch out like a firearm, before realizing it was another living person. Sighing in relief, he set the blowtorch down, before lifting the visor of the welding mask up, revealing his face. Without the bloodstained plexiglas viewport and the metal frame intervening with his vision, he could now see that the other person was a boy, with a girl hidden behind him.

"Quiet as a church mouse, smart one. The undead wouldn't have come knocking.", he complimented, before reaching out one hand. "Name's Alex, although most Russians refer to me as Sasha.", he introduced with a smile. However, hearing a small this at the door, his smile disappeared in favor of a grimace.

"However, we can not stay here forever. I'm heading out." With these words, he grabbed any other supplies that the other boy hadnt taken, before stashing them in the backpack. Quickly zipping it up, he slung it over his shoulder, before smiling again. "But, I wouldn't mind for some company getting out of this hellhole.", he added, before lowering the visor, the rather small viewport not allowing any sight of Alex' face due to the tint.

Picking up the blowtorch, he looked over his shoulder when he stepped near the door. Even with his face covered, one could almost tell that he was smiling from the tone of his voice as he asked, "Ready?".

Angelo nodded and helped the girl up to follow along with them "names Angelo Ortega but my friends call me angel boy. I just found her here fighting a zombie so I wont leave her behind for the time being" Angelo said to him as he got the supplies he took which were most of the good stuff and he stuffed it in his messenger bag that usually only contained his laptop. Angelo got to the door next to him with his make shift spear in hand ready to fight through them. Angelo made the signal for silence as he put his finger to his lips to both of them. Angelo then slowly opened the door and walked out looking both ways before letting them come out to so one of them would lead the way out

Anselma got into the bus and quickly shut the doors behind her. Almost instantly zombies were at the door clawing at it. She gave a loud shriek and then got very quickly. "I'm safe for now....I think." She told herself. She took a seat in the drivers seat and search around for keys. She found them in the glove compartment and put them in the ignition. "What am I doing I don't know how to drive." She said shaking here head back and forth. A zombie pounced on the door and she gave another loud shriek. "It's ok, it's ok there not going to get in." She said looking back at the door. She notice it had cracked a little after that last zombie. She started to panic a little so she started blasting the horn, hoping someone would come and save her.

"Wonderful" thought Miki when she saw a panicked girl get into the bus and start honking the horn. She had to pause a moment to think about her next move

She hated it but she saw only one choice left open to her so she stopped the cart and pulled one of the three bats free. Then taking a deep breath she summoned up all her energy and walked slowly towards the bus.

The horn was attracting the horrors but it was also distracting them as well and as she walked up and swung as hard as she could cracking a former student's skull. She knew that she needed to keep moving in pattern that didn't allow them to bunch up behind her so like a prize fighter she moved in a backwards circle pivoting to catch a look behind her after each swing of the bat.

As she cracked open their skulls and dropped them Miki felt a surge of energy pass through her and as strange as it seemed she was getting more an more excited. She was laughing and screaming out in joy as she cracked open her twelfth skull. The energy that helped her win at swimming gave her an edge as she became a blur of motion.

"Die, die, die, die!" she shouted as the bat made a pleasing sound with each impact.

Miki was drifting in a blood haze as she dropped her twentieth horror. She'd stopped retreating and was attacking the monsters that were once human like her.
