Significant

Today is the Signifix. The day held every ten years to find out who, out of thousands of people in Eden, are Significants. The day where Significants meet their Significance. The day they enter Significus. The day they start saving Eden from the Dire.

Pretty confusing, huh. I won't go in-depth yet but I will explain a little further. Every ten years, the Signifix is held. The Signifix is the "reaping" of the chosen ones known as Significants. Significants are people that have the ability to summon a Significance. The reaping involves the Emerald, the jewel that awakens a Significance from a Significant. Significants are rare, 1 in 10,000 people. They head to Significus, the academy where Significants are trained, after the Signifix.

Each Significant has their partner, their Significance. Significances are spirits that take any form, ranging from animals and mythological creatures to robots and humanoids. Significances have two forms, as you may have guessed. The Spirit form, in which they are in their regular form, and the Weapon form, in which they are in a form of a weapon. Only the Significance's Significant can turn their Significant into a weapon. All Significances are different, each one having different abilities in both Spirit and Weapon form.

Significants and their Significances are trained in Significus to be the best guardians because there are dark entities that have been attacking Eden. These entities are called the Dire. They are monsters that prey on humans. Even as students, Significants are required to protect people from the Dire. In this RP, we will be playing as Signifcant students.

Right now I'm looking for 5 Significants and 5 Significances, though one person can act as one pair. I'm limiting the members so we can have arcs for each character and I really want the characters to be fully developed. Having too many characters would be hard since there are many characters to develop and focus on. If ever there are more people that are interested than I expected, I would have to choose out of all the people that are interested.

Yes, Significants are normal human beings. They are trained to do well in battles though, since they're supposed to fight monsters.

Question. How are the abilities going to differ between spirit form and weapon form? I see spirit as having an ability more for defense and weapon more for offense, but that's just my guess.

Hey! You get the idea, spirit being more for defense and weapon more for offense. It isn't limited to that. Spirit form usually have defensive abilities but they can also have offensive abilities and vice-versa. For example, The Significance has healing powers when it's in it's Spirit form but when it turns into it's Weapon form, it can produce projectiles such as fireballs. Hope that clears out some stuff. Feel free to ask more questions. :)

So we have four Significants (inluding me) and three Significances. I might lessen it to four pairs if it ehis thread doesn't get noticed much. So we'll just have to wait for one more person (minimum). If people notice this though, I'll take five pairs. Will start making the OOC thread.
