Alright, well will there be any vampire NPC's to interact with? Talk to? I would be sad if we invest so much into character creation and all we have to work with is each other AND we're all on the same side. So many rp's just spam kill trash for a page or two and no plot ever develops. This one's got a good premise. I'd LOVE some detail on the "bad guys." ...some characters.

It's been established that the vampires think that they're better/mightier than humans, though. I'm assuming they'd have no real interest in interacting with humans, especially humans that are trying to hunt them, unless they gained something from it.

My characters backstory involves working for vampires :P Well, it was either that or become human cattle...

Either way, there probably won't be much friendly chat between them.

There's a reason to not have the vampires or AI in combat chassis bodies and so forth. One reason is that I don't care to spread the RP too wide for plot reasons, and that is also the reason why the vampires are NPC's. The RP is intended to go certain directions that will become apparent later on (I don't intend to spoil that) so yeah, the lines are being drawn for a reason.

So far so good on characters, if you feel like you want to add stuff overall. I know you guys are going, "I don't want them to be overpowered," but let me make it clear -- a lot of the vamps go beyond just the strength and speed thing and they are hideously tough. The typical one can pretty much do a squad of infantry very quickly and with minimal damage to themselves.

I put out that one character sheet to give an appreciation of the various small things that can be added in, such as retractable blades, built in firearms and magnetized feet, hands and knees.

Don't forget your drones, either. ;)

If you want to denerf, I have no issues. Here's the thing, this RP isn't necessarily just focusing on vampire hunting and cool cybernetics. It's about humanity, power, morality and loss of inhibitions. It's got an undercurrent of asking 'what happens when you empower people to such a degree that they can brush aside those that stand in their way?'

The RP is very much about human nature. So I am fine with the ramifications of superpowered beings dealing with...well, a lot of things. Not the least of which are the vampires.

Okay, that conflict is definitely built into Jay Bee at the minute so whoop-de-whoop and go me.

The only thing that's occurred to me is that telekinesis is moving things with the mind: if he can throw things with the power of thought, does anything stop him... throwing himself? Can Jay Bee therefore levitate? It sounds ridiculous on the surface, but other characters with physical enhancements can theoretically super-jump and have super-speed, whereas Jay Bee doesn't have those enhancements, and he has been hit with the nerf-stick in that he can only use telekinesis for a non-disclosed time (that will no doubt become apparent at a time of narrative convenience) so he can't just god-float his way around. Still, levitating might be considered OP so I want to double-check rather than just assuming.

Levitate himself...or others. Don't nerf the telekinesis, because the vampires aren't nerfed anyway. But maybe he works with momentum as well as the raw ability to lift things through telekinesis. So with a running lead, he might well be able to extend a jump or soften a landing. I mean, try thinking as out of the box as you can with it. It's like D&D magic; the grease spell may not seem like much, but it's got it where it counts.
