The WS Grimoire is the Earth's last hope against overpopulation. Built to become the home of over a billion people, the Grimoire is a massive ship containing multiple habitats within, called Ecospheres, complete with an artificial atmosphere and day cycle. To the untrained eye, it seems like any other place on Earth.

However, somewhere in deep space, an unexplained catastrophe occurs. Nearly every passenger aboard the Grimoire, including the faculty, vanish overnight. Every day, the ship hurls deeper into the abyss, and every day, another life-sustaining system begins to fail. The survivors must find a way to escape their doomed artificial world, and uncover the truth behind the World Ship: Grimoire.

This roleplay is a post-apocalyptic story with a twist: the inhabitants are on board a massive world-emulating ship. They must discover a way to not only survive the land around them, including predators and hostile survivors, but the ship itself before it fails and they fall victim to a corrupting system, or worse, the vacuum of space.

I'm looking for high casual, with good character development and interaction. Let me know if you're interested.

I'm good with scifi
Wouldn't mind being a fallen ship mechanic- there are always someone needed to fix stuff, even if it's fixing the stuff that fixes everything. Like... someone who knows people wouldn't react well to realize that their entire world was actually fake, so he keeps his silence as they work it out, fearing that they might run out of time, you know? The hull would be massively strong, to support a failure such as the majority of the population just disappearing, and the deterioration accompanying the lack of mechanics and the like to keep the ship going. After all, it'll only take one tiny, itsybitsy little hole for the entire ecosphere to die- that hole will be air>vacuum, and the vacuum would be pulling the air out so hard that it'd likely tear half the hull apart.

Minor cybernetics possibly, but nothing weaponized. The ship would have had really strict laws in place. Of course, where the story starts, there won't be any more law, so that could change. Aliens I can run with, but we'd have to discuss that in depth over PM.

@WilsonTurner - With what I had in mind, most of the population would know they were on a ship. I wouldn't recommend being part of the ship's crew because you would start apart from everyone else. Part of the party's goal would be to access the Grimoire's bridge, but they have no idea where that is, and the Ecospheres they live in are hundreds of thousands of square miles, so they would need to travel for a long time. You can be an ex-mechanic, though, or even a crew member on vacation. As long as everyone starts in roughly the same vicinity, for the sake of convenience.

Sorry, I assumed that because of this

@WilsonTurner Sorry, bad wording. I meant, they don't know anything about the layout, or how to operate it, or how it works.
