I do not think that a Vampire would be able to fool Hogwarts's defences. Without special permission, they would probably not be allowed in the school. Is that what you were intending?

Well, can I just say, my character is a werewolf... so, I'd be being a bit biased if I said no...

He would be known by the Headmaster. he wouldn't be trying to infiltrate the school he would have special permission to teach and live on the grounds.

Also I think a vampire is fine. Any smart headmaster would have some necessary precautions set up but I don't think Harry potter vampires are like Dracula. And there was 9ne at the slug club party.

There is not to much information about vampires in the wiki but we know that the werewolfs transform every month and that could be contained or just be a danger

Well, they would probably be heavily discriminated against (if not immediately expelled), just as much as the Werewolf, if their identity was revealed. It doesn't matter how accepting the headmaster is, if the wizarding community at large doesn't accept them.

As a 1/8th goblin, I for one welcome the diversity that a vampire may bring.

I mean... from a balance perspective, vampiric powers are probably weaker than wandless magic, so it's only fair.

From a social/safety perspective, werewolves are probably more dangerous than vampires.

Anyway, David has a lot of goals, one of which is immortality, so he probably would be nagging said character constantly to bite him :)).
