I'm not. Trust me, all girl here though I won't deny it was fun sending a car door through Lyzan's NPC's face in the fight. Sadly he ended up nailing me with a glass shard since Rach couldn't had trauma related to blades and like objects. XD So not sure who got the better of that deal.

Be nice not to be the only one. And Lyzan and I have only ever been in one match, in which i shockly did better than I thought I would XD. And despite being here from oldguild. I have not once been in any short of match with Rilla, Skallagrim, or yoshua171... come to think of it I don't recall even fighting ImportantNobody either... except kind of one time.

Starting to feel like Melon head is the only person in the arena some times.

Still, my instinct was screaming at it. Not to mention using only a few non original pcs and not listing actual ability example like what you stated doesn't give me an accurate image of the tiers. Part of the issue I have with tiers is they don't provide max or minimal stat deceptions to go off of for a player to ensure they aren't in the next tier.

The tier system was quite terrible to be honest. Modern day multi-way is a little better if by only a little.

Something like Melons Fury character would be T6.(if just barely)

Yeah, tier is a pain to work with, that's why we've gone with a more general system for this re-iteration and we're allowing people to balance fights themselves. Only tournament hosts have to work on balancing out more than two/four players, I pray for them. Metaphorically.

The issue with the Necroloth is it had very specific weaknesses that none of its opponents could exploit. That WOTW tournament was strange in that everyone brought in characters roughly around the T3 mark, with a few odd powers thrown in to mix things up, but for the most part everyone was from a sword-and-sorcery style background that gave the characters a good mesh. I suspect it was because Rilla hardcore nerfed firearms and other similar ranged attacks, essentially causing a really good balance of similar characters.

By accident I suspect, but I'll give Rilla props regardless.

Any one could have exploited it (he literally had a self destruct button any character could have made us of). Sand Wraith was the one that could only be harmed by Magical weapons.

Also that was probably Rilla's goal, or it was shear luck. Thing with fire arms, if you have them only a certain kind of set characters have a chance. Without them gives ppl a little more leeway in what they can throw in.

Sometimes my hands get tired, typing from all my alt accounts.

I mean what, no, there's plenty of people in the Arena.

From what I remember there wasn't a single formidable ranged character in that tournament, except maybe Cassana. (probably spelled wrong, memory fails me) Lyzan was the best swordfighter and he couldn't even get close to destroying the Necroloth's core with his ability to spontaneously defend himself with bones, so what chance did anyone else have at melee?

All alts...

Even Rilla...

Which would effectively make me the Arena Mod.

Well to be fair, I ended not using bones to defend myself. As he could cut through them no problem. If you recall, I jumped back (terrible idea) from his first swing. He then launched his sword at me. Which I barely avoided by elongating my spine into a tail and rebounded back around and tackled him to death.

All the while I remember us throwing things at your character and laughing...

Yeah. It doesn't help the tiers don't take in account the storyline or role of the examples presented. Mains and some Nps for example grow unlike others, which influence their power level. Goku for example is one.

At the start of the series, you know and can tell he's no match for Fresia. However, further along when he's taking on android 5 or Saga, he's likely to kick the original Fresia he battles back then to the curb easily. So the question is this: which example do you use?

Had to rewrite this because I lost it when I pasted an old reply over it on my iPhone....T^T

From what I remember of the tier listings DBZ characters weren't used as examples just because of how much they progressed in terms of power over the series. I prefer the rough estimation of how devestating a character's abilities are, could they easily destroy a car, a street, a city, a country, a world?

That's pretty much the span from t3 to t9.

Honestly though there are so many variables It's near impossible to get your head around it.

@MelonHead

Doesn't negate my point though and it's still valid unless all the examples didn't grow in the story. Which means they only make one time appearances and wouldn't be as rememberable or recognizable. I might be recalling the tier examples wrong since it's been a long time.

The majority of examples are from films actually, so in terms of power they don't progress much. I've always assumed that when they do reference Mace Windu for example or Trinity from the Matrix they probably mean at their best, rather than when they were children or something.

Most of the examples if I recall where of specific things, like the early ninja class in Naruto. Only a few of actuarial main characters. Except for the odd one like Magneto or Saito Hajime. Of course for the latter one which Saito Hajime are they talking about? There is almost three of them in anime alone. Then a real world one (we can assume that's not the one refereed to).

Ya, the whole tier system was flawed from the start.

The idea with the tier system is growth. In theory with an active MV your character was suppose to advance up the tier ladder as they grew in power in story.

@MelonHead Changed the CS to be a little more specific.

Okay, I have a few powered characters in mind that I believe could face off against your Void character, which I suspect would be the best for a quick sparring session.

One thing I would say though is characters 'limiting their abilities' for a fight are kind of bad for story reasons, because logically speaking you're not going to let yourself die if you're overcome with one hand tied behind your back, you're going to remove the restriction and kill them back, which isn't fair unless your opponent has a similar ability to remove their restrictions.

My recommendation would be to just leave each power level as seperate points in your character's timeline, where he can encounter a foe at each point, but that's up to you, just be aware that I won't tolerate any power changes mid-fight if we do spar. Anywho, these are the characters you can pick from.

First Arc Clockwork Man http://www.roleplayerguild.com/posts/2635038

Adrian http://www.roleplayerguild.com/posts/2776623

Or Aegis, whose fluff I will complete if you're interested in facing the general character concept. This would probably be the easiest fight for your character at the powered level, but I'd still make it difficult for you. http://www.roleplayerguild.com/posts/2818058

There are other characters which -might- work, if you want to fight in high powered instead. Have a look through my entire list if you want. http://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/79934-people-trapped-in-a-giant-melon/ooc

Now... to get off my ass and finish up either Virska J’iark or revamp Ironhorse.

I swear I remember seeing someone named Ironhorse a long time ago. Wasn't he some armored guy? Oh...that's super vague. Oh well, increases the odds of me being right! Mwahahaha! Actually, more specifically I'm thinking of a viking like guy, but I could be completely wrong.

<Snipped quote by Fallenreaper>

Yeah, Khan's a liar, in terms of pure volume of fights he probably has more than anyone here.

Huh? Who is this newbie "Khan" person?

Oh, and I think he is a she. And I think she is a changeling.

<Snipped quote by GreivousKhan>

I made a character pretty much completely based around two giant floating hands used as weapons, I deemed him too OP for further use after one fight.

To be fair, lots of stuff is OP against Evvie. I kind of liked him.

Imagine a reboot of Evvie who wins every battle and nobody can find her weakness. :D

<Snipped quote by MelonHead>
All worth it to get Senpai Skallagrim to notice me.

I got Melon Senpai to notice me in our battle. You just have to keep trying and believe in yourself!

come to think of it I don't recall even fighting ImportantNobody either... except kind of one time.

What?! We were inseparable! Think of all the times we...we...did that stuff! The really cool stuff. You remember, right, Melon?

And yes, I'm a she. Call me Fallen, and nice to meet you. Changeling...umm, depends on the PC. >_>

Actually no, he was a Native American Tier 1 PC I created in the Arena. Ironhorse was his tribal name, his full was Iron Jameson, and I think Skallagrim's seen him as I recall him posting in my int chk and complimenting me.

The changeling was in reference to a star wars quote in reference to GreivousKhan.

I briefly considered the name IronHorse would be native american, so if I had to bet my life I would have gone with that, but then for some reason him being a viking sounded right. Like he had a beard or something. Or maybe I'm off my rocker.
