It should be noted however that just because they are able to do so, having actual tanks or damage dealers will always prove more efficient.
Subclass:
Alchemist
Bio:
Yang grew up in an abusive household in New York's Chinatown. His mother died in an accident at a family reunion and his drunkard father has been cursing his mother's side of the family ever since. Unable to meet his father's ridiculous standards, he could only withstand the constant threats, punishment and scolding, often due to the most trivial things. At one point, he was beaten with a belt all because he had left his empty bowl on the table after he was done eating. Also being ostracized at school since he was not as smart as the other Chinese kids, while also not being very sociable nor athletic only brought him insults and bullying. Not wanting to become depressed and wanting to live a happy family life like the ones he saw in movies and TV shows, he always tried to smile and be happy, no matter how angry or sad he was on the inside. Because of this, he as gotten used to having to wear "masks" instead of showing his actual face. Unable to conjure up the strength to defy his father, he escaped to the online world of Elder Tales.
As his real life was hell, his digital world was paradise. There, no one cared about his GPA, no one cared about what grades he got or how many activities he did. He soon made friends and connections in the game, and for the first time in forever, he felt like he belong somewhere. However, his father did no appreciated his "stupid failure of a man" child playing computer games and forced Yang to break the computer with a sledgehammer. Yang would end up crying for the whole night, not knowing what to do. To try and get a new computer, he started working two jobs outside of school and played Elder Tales on the library computers.
Then, by a stroke of luck, he had met his cousin from China and Yang told his story to his cousin. Within a week, the two and Yang's uncle created a plan to get Yang out of the household. One month later, his uncle had sent him enough money to buy a plane ticket to Beijing. Packing his bags and his mother's jade pin, he ran away in the dead of night for LAX. He made it to the airport and China without a hitch. Once in China, he quickly got settled in with his aunt and uncle who was the brother of his mother, brushed up on his Chinese and went to the same school as his cousin. He also soon made a new account on Elder Tales and has been playing on his time off, creating new friends and companions online. While his aunt displayed some worry about it, his uncle (who works at an animation company and an avid gamer himself) allows Yang to play along side his cousin up in the game.
It as been a few years since that point and Yang is now in his second year at Peking University, studying to become a teacher. He has started dating a girl and introduced her to the digital world called Elder Tale. Yang himself is a fairly powerful character in game after playing for so many years and with so much experience under his belt. When he isn't in raids or grinding, he'll usually stay in or near hub cities to help newer or lower-leveled players. He has even "tutored" some players through dozens of levels and enjoyed a somewhat influential position in the world of guilds as some of his former students are now in high places.
When the "Apocalypse" occurred, one of his students had panicked and grabbed him before going through a Fairy Gate before they shut down. He somehow ended up in the Japanese Server with no idea where the person who dragged him in wnent. He is hoping that his brother and his girlfriend are doing alright and aren't caught up in this mess along with all of his "students".
Personality:
Yang is perpetually happy and smiling and strives to ensure that everyone around him is too, often making less then favorable deals or decision on his part for the sake of others. His happiness is hard to break with insults as he's heard nearly all possible insult and slurs from his classmates in America or his father and has developed a very thick hide to it, but there are certain things that will trigger him to loose composure and start crying. It can be put like a health-and-shield bar; he has a lot of happiness as his "shield", but beyond that, there is very little that keeps him from breaking down.
He often comes off as rude to people he doesn't know, but Yang will still try to be and friendly to everyone and tries to teach and educate people as much as he can. On occasion, his weird Ingrish/Nipponese/Japangrish will show up in his speech, often with comical effects. In fights, he tends to get a bit cocky due to his experience with the game plus he has won PvP tournaments in the past.
It is notable that he is particularly crafty, especially with his Alchemy work. Yang will stay in his makeshift lab for extended periods of times if not much is going on otherwise. After the establishment of the Round House, he often ventures to Roderick Labs for research, items and chatting with fellow potioneers.

Templars play as a Guardian/Cleric cross only playable in Western European server, having the highest survivability rating as they have huge amounts of HP while also have healing spells. However, they also have some of the weakness of the Guardian class, many of their moves and spells have long CDs and their spells require more MP to cast, making them MP inefficient, a problem since they don't have have much of it as actual magic-based classes. Bio
Libris, or Alexis Arkwright lived a wealthy life as the daughter of the CEO of a large European electronics company. As a young girl, she loved reading about the stories of knights and their chivalrous deeds to their king or to God. She lived her comfortable life while pretending to be a protector of the weak in her large household, causing a fair bit of trouble for the servants and her sitters.
However, when she was 8, she had a wake up call. While in a mall one day with her older brother and a servant, her brother was attacked and Alexis tried to step in and defend her brother like a hero in the stories she read. The attacker told her, "There are no such things as hero in real life. Like you're even strong enough to be one." before attacking her brother.
The police came soon after and Alexis realized the futility of her dreams of knighthood as her brother went through surgery. She nearly gave up on the entire concept of chivalry until she and her brother found the game Elder Tales. While her brother stopped after a few months, Alexis sunk nearly all her free time into the game and her character, Libris. A seasoned veteran, she was in her final year of high school when the Apocalypse happened. Believing this is her final challenge while also believing that one day everyone will return to the real world, she seeks to make the most of her time in this new world.
Personality
Libris has a very noble and courageous poise in game with a bit of a strict side at times, no doubt from all the knight and hero stories she read. Heroics and self-sacrifice are things that she is characterized by. However, she will occasionally voice her displeasure a bit too loudly and will make foolish decisions while angry. Role playing as a knight in game, addressing Yang (who helped her early on) as "lord" or "sir", she also goes out of her way to help people, even if she is put into a foreign land, she will try to make the most of it.
Weapon Specialization
Shields and One-handed (namely swords) with a Pure Tanking Build
Notable Equipment
<Graceful Blessed Plate of the Redeemer> - A Phantasmal-Class piece of armor, it is a drop from the <Angel Moon Drop> event. Using materials blessed by the Holy Father himself; the armor is a mix of Angelic Steel Plates and woven Mithril and boasts and incredible amount of defense and is near impenetrable to dark magic.
<Heralding Archangel Saint Blade> - Another Phantasmal-Class item obtained from <Angel Moon Drop> but from a different year. The sword ignores armor values and can also be used a wand if need be. Made of Angelic Steel and decorated with gold, it has been reforged several times and ignores a high amount of the enemy's armor when attacking.
<Seed of Genesis> - A talisman containing a seed of life received at the end of a long group raid. Praying to it reduces the respawn timer to almost nothing and increase the wearer's tolerance to bad effects. While its said that planting the seed will yield an incredible result, Libris has yet to try it
Notable Special Skills
<Lighthouse> - A weaker version of <Anchor Howl>, this skill will only aggro enemies in the user's vision, not all around them. While is does come with a weak counter, there is no buff that comes with it.
<Mirror Shield> - A move with both a passive and active effect. Passively it grants a chance for attacks to do no damage while the user has their shield raised. When activated, it will push enemies in a close proximity and send magic attacks back to its caster.
<Garden of Eden> - Creates a ring around the caster. Anyone inside the ring will rapidly heal and gain a defense boost upon leaving the ring. However, the caster cannot move outside of the ring, if they do, they will have the <Exiled from Eden> debuff which severely lowers all their stats. This skill requires careful planning in raid bosses.
