I laugh a little at your flustered reaction. "You cannot die, until your time anyways, because I will be here to protect you." I knelt down by your bedside again. "And I choose you, because over the years, I have realized that you have given my life meaning. Demons live for quite a long time, and often look for ways to end it." I shake my head. "But with you, I feel that I could live for a while longer as long as you're by my side."
