Ok so I'm going to start the IC later this afternoon and ill start reading everyone's characters and approving them this afternoon.

What do the merpeople call their Island?

And how long has Helena been queen? is she Queen of the whole merworld, or just the island?

I'm assuming she is the only ruler, as the merpeople are peaceful there is no reason nobles/royals/people would fight over titles, land, or resources. So it would be one united kingdom?

Since its a monarchy she would have gained her position after the last king/queen died, and she would have most likely been princess before hand, what was the rumors among the merworld about her absence/missing. (when she was gone during her time as a slave I mean. Since no one knows.)

And how did she escape and come back to the island/ocean?

As for the questions about the queen, she is the queen over all, she became queen because of her bloodline, the main kingdom of the ocean is beneath the island but there are more mermaid/man civilizations, when she was a princess she was kidnapped but the king and queen did not want the embarrassment of royalty being turned into a mere slave to become known so they covered it up by saying she was on a trip to the human world. It was a crusade by a group of humans who freed the merfolk as well as other slaves.

I'm thinking about adding a couple of plot twists in the future, one being the dictator finding the traitorous pirates and the runaway merfolk causing the two sides to work together.... maybe depending on how the plot goes. If someone does something unforgivable it'd be 1v1v1 rather than 1v2
