Any experienced TTRP'ers out there ever done a purely slice of life Table Top rp? If so, how did it work?
I've had an idea floating around for one, though I doubt I'd use it any time soon, but it focused on various dice rolls(primarily done by choice when the player chooses, though some events would REQUIRE a roll) to garner the success of a basic action, such as throwing a basketball, waking up on time, catching the bus, hell even hitting the toilet when drunk and wanting to take a whizz.
There would be various things a character could do to increase their modifiers for rolls, example; being well rested lets you add +2 to all rolls, eating a meal temporarily gives you +1 (or more depending on the meal) to stamina based rolls, ect. ect.
Ideally, there would be a general 'thresh-hold' where any roll under a certain number means the player fails and humiliates them self. Additionally, if a player rolls higher than a certain number (include the additions of modifiers) they are able to slightly bend reality in for the action they rolled on, 'exaggerating' a scene or action beyond what is normal to their advantage. I also entertained the idea of 'breaking reality', if a players modifiers cause them to go over a certain, hard to reach number, their character disappears from the face of the earth, never to be seen again.
What are your thoughts on this? Additionally, anyone can steal the idea if they'd like, just PM me so I can see how it pans out or maybe join.
