The Knight is a wilful man, strong hearted and kind hearted. He believes in freedom and life above all else. He is a down to earth man, believing in what he believes and sticking to it. When he is threatened or insulted however, Ajax is not one to hold back punches. Or sword swings. He hates the corrupt and those who beat on the poor. He believes that all races are equal and doesn't like slavery. He is very proud and wise, throughout his 49 years, he has seen things. He is no doubt brave and respected by his fellow Templars.
Basic Bio:
Ajax was born in the small town of Herelden, one of the most northern points of all Mortis. He was raised by his father and mother, Jak and Lauren DecRoy,
in a small little cottage in the middle of the town. His father was a blacksmith and his mother ran a stall in the market. It was a definite struggle for the DeCroy family, the mayor of the town enforced unfair taxes on all of its residents. At the age of 16, Ajax grew fed up with the quiet life an done night left a note to his mother and father containing money and food he had stolen from the marketplace.
Ajax travelled all around Mortis, getting the odd job every now and then just to keep on going. He passed through the capital, his wanderlust taking over, he explored the city for weeks, seeing the sights and immersing himself into the city. Unfortunately, he had to leave the city, his wanderings taking him elsewhere. At the age of 20, after years of exploring the ravines and the countryside of Mortis, Ajax was captured by the Church of Red. He was taken to their Main Cathedral and put forward to the head Cardinal.
The Cardinal said, with an old but strong voice "You are righteous my son. We have watched you over the years. We have eyes in every place, looking for candidates. We have finally found enough. You are the Ninth one, Ajax"
Ajax looked into the weary Cardinals eyes and responded politely "The Ninth of what sir?" The old man looked back at him with a spark in his eyes and clicked his fingers. Eight men stepped away from the shadows, red and white armour shining. Their great swords and blunderbusses? showed proudly, each in both hand. A wooden shield is placed on their backs, bearing the sign of the Church. "You are the Ninth Templar Knight, you are to be a warrior, Ajax, and a holy man." Ajax grinned with excitement and eagerly joined the other eight.
Ajax, with his newfound title, practiced the teachings of the Church while going through training for his Sword, Dagger and Blunderbuss. After four hard year training and learning the testaments, he performed his first mission with the Nine. At the age of 49, he continues to service the Church of Red under His name.
Skills:
Shooting: Ajax was taught how to shoot with the exotic firearms of the Church. The Blunderbuss, his absolute favourite weapon, is his primary firearm and is a decent enough shot. What he loves about the Blunderbuss is that he can just stuff it filled with nails and rocks, do all the fancy shenanigans, and point in the general direction of the target.
Reading: Ajax was taught to read, though he wasn't always very good at it. Being the youngest of the Nine, he was not the most eager with the reading so he can read slowly but not fast, not like a properly educated person can.
Sword Fighting: Ajax can fight with a sword, though he prefers his Blunderbuss over it. He uses his sword only when necessary but he is still deadly. Ajax us the least proficient in the Nine with sword fighting.
