"What a cliché password," commented Shiranui, noticing that Lysandre was nowhere to be found.

"At least it wasn't '12345'." Liam replied. "But, we need to find this weapon and stop it."

"The Pyroar-haired guy will certainly know where it is," said Shiranui.

"Well, now lets find that man." Liam said.

[James Davy]

Inside the Lysandre Labs, Shiranui noticed a lot of Team Flare grunts. "Getting past these guys will be tough," he warned.

"Well, I have an idea." Liam said. "Do you still have Kage with you?"

[James Davy]

"I certainly do," answered Shiranui.

"Maybe Kage can just fire hypnosis down the hallway and put all the grunts into dreamland." Liam suggested.

[James Davy]

"It's worth a shot," replied Shiranui, sending Kage out, "Kage, use Hypnosis to put the guys in red to sleep." Kage nodded with a chuckle and flew down the hall, hypnotising the grunts to sleep. "Liam, I hope you have Plasma handy," said Shiranui, "Just in case they have an alarm system."

"I'm ready for that." Liam said. It was time for the duo to walk down the hallway. Liam carefully walked around the bodies of the unconscious grunts. He founding of them was near an alarm switch. Liam called Plasma out who phased into it and disabled the alarm system in the entire base.

"Great job, Plasma," Shiranui praised.

The Rotom gave a big smile at being praised.
"Time to end this." Liam said.

Shiranui nodded and noticed a few familiar faces among the knocked out grunts. "These are the guys we thwarted earlier," he stated, "Remind me to get Kage a Gengarite for his work." He spotted a long stairway leading down.

"Noted." Liam replied. The dup started down the staircase.

At the bottom, Shiranui saw Kage and down the hall behind the Gengar were three people. One was the Pyroar-haired man in a fiery red business suit, one looked like an almost-bald albino scientist wearing similar colours and the third—housed in what looked like a jail cell—was what looked like a giant disheveled homeless man. Kage retreated back into his Dusk Ball.

Liam hurried downstairs and faced the three. He turned to the Pyroar-haired man. "I take it you are the leader of Team Flare?" he man in the cage interrupted. "Listen you who have come to face Lysandre." He then began to tell a story.

The man then said to get the key back "Do you want to know never ending pain...like I have?"

The man who has now been identified as Lysandre explained that this man is named "AZ" and shared his name with a king from 3,000 years ago. He also said that this man had the key to the ultimate weapon. Lysandre then left his cohort, Xerosic to handle us. Xerosic sent out a Crobat and Malamar.

Shiranui scanned the Malamar. "Malamar, the Overturning Pokémon and the evolved form of Inkay. It wields the most compelling hypnotic powers of any Pokémon, and it forces others to do whatever it wants."
"Time to send out an old friend of mine," said Shiranui, "Sundan, I choose you!" He sent his Scizor out.

Liam sent out Scarlet. "Signal Beam on Malamar!"

"Sundan, Substitute! Mega Ring activate!" Shiranui activated the keystone on his Mega Ring and Sundan was surrounded in an orb of energy. The orb shattered to reveal a Mega Scizor and Sundan started to hide behind a decoy.

Malamar was hit by the 4x damaging move. "Crobat, Air Cutter on Delphox! Malamar Dark Pulse!" both attacks went for Scarlet.
Scarlet was hit by both attacks and Liam called for Scarlet to do the same move as last time.
