Last question for clarity.

How long does the shield last?

Two, since it had two charges to it.

However, had you hit it with a attack that had an equal amount of charges it would be done with same turn. Hahah.

I don't need you to change anything, but I wanted to ask; do your abilities require any prep? I can understand the Jaws one, as that is more stance; but the rest read like magicks that need to be activated.

They're magics that can be instantly activated, instead of casting time. Which is why it happened once the blade entered her, instead of before the blade hit her. Like raising your hand up to stop something from hitting your face. It's reactive.

In general, magics in T1 have to be prepped before activation. Like the shield and thunderbird. I asked out of curiosity though, really.

You confused Bita with Pikatok there, Rilla.

Bita is the character for the 4 way fight.

Ah! Yeah, I can change that; I assumed she was a Punda... thingy too, as I thought they were mother and father.

I'll change it.

Pikatok is married to a Pundambayan who migrated to Earth to be closer to the gate, Pikatok however, is human.

There's isn't really a rule that magic has to be prepped, which wouldn't be suitable for character's of mine like Solomon and Anna for example, whose only offensive capabilities fall under the sphere of 'magic.'

More conventional attacks like fireballs and the like benefit from being charged, because they can't be defended from without an equally prepared defense. I assume the same applies for defensive magics against non-charged physical attacks, if it's logical.

That's just my take on it though, there's a lot of room for interpretation in T1, especially at levels above t2-t3.

From everything I've learned magic has to be charged; some places are more lax about it, but what isn't prepped is more likely a small, weak move, not really meant to do anything major to the opponent. Which is why Shell and Bird were both charged, before use - because that's just the way I was taught T1; prep magic.

Though I do have to ask, since I did bring it up.

When are you announcing who's getting into the 4 way fight? @Rilla

I'm gonna message everyone, and give them until Tuesday to accept/deny/submit a character, before I make any official announcement.

The issue comes with the generalized term of magic. I've noticed most people tend to roll with a spellsword type build, physical with a bit of magic, if you're a dedicated mage the limitations of charging don't make sense, and shouldn't apply, because using magic is your basic attack.

In my opinion, it should. You may be able to cast them faster, and stronger, but it shouldn't negate the need for prepping/charging, just because you specialize in it. But that's my take on it, and how I interpret T1, and how I play it. Obviously, at some point, it'll need to be centralized when two people with opposing views on it come to battle, but that's with everything.
