[IC] Harrowmounts Plight

The kingdom of Harrowmount is plagued by many things, a bad economy, hunger, cults, and even a crime syndicate. However the most threatening of their problems is the recent kidnappings by Dr. Lance Steinburg. He has been kidnapping mostly the poor and homeless for his experiments however he has recently started to target those of noble standing. Due to this the king has issued a large reward for whomever can bring back the head of Dr. Steinburg. There have been few leads however on where Dr. Steinburg actually is. However it seems that his former assistant has recently been captured by the Crime Syndicate in the kingdom. To those who are willing to help protect this kingdom from the threat of Dr. Steinburg. Seek out his assistant Feon for she is the key to finding Dr. Steinburg and bringing an end to this his wicked deeds!

Feon had just entered the Kingdom of Harrowmount. Some of the stitching on her hand was a bit loose from a recent run in with thugs, one of them had nicked her hand causing the stitches to come loose, as she headed towards the inn she was attracting quite a bit of attention to her self as the bolts on her head were starting to spark a bit. All she could think about at the moment though was getting herself something to drink.

Ixi walked through the kingdom silently, avoiding interactions. She was headed towards the girl ahead of her, a strange girl with odd bolts in her head. Ixi reached forward with a hand, and placed it on Feon's shoulder.
"You're Dr. Steinburg's assistant, aren't you?" Ixi asked firmly. "Now answer my questions."

Io sat on a couch in a bar, drinking orange juice. His sword was at his hip, the sword was strapped in with leather straps, as if in an effort to keep the sword in the sword in the sheath. Which it was. The leather straps meant to keep Ia off of the sword itself. Ia would be too much of a hinderance if she managed to get the sword out of the sheath, which would take her some time.

Artholath lazily watched some children run by his bench in a small town just east of the one Feon just entered. His mind was still on the volcano that he tried to breach not long ago, even with is newfound purpose. A thought popped into his mind that he had been wondering for the past twenty years.

The question isn’t what I will do when I find her… but how I will find her.

He frowned, not noticing that the person who walked out of the inn besides him put on a coat due to the unusually cold weather. He had heard of the servant’s existence, of course, but he had nothing to go on as to what he was looking for. Tall? Short? Human? Wood Elf? Fiery dragon?

Where to go next… where…

Westwards, then.

He got up off the bench, leaving a very cold spot behind, and walked down the road out of town.

Feon turned her head towards Ixi with dead looking eyes. "I'm afraid I don't know what your talking about." Feon stated as she lightly brushed off Ixi's hand to continue heading into the bar. Feon was not in the mood to answering any questions after just having been betrayed by Dr. Steinburg, she figured for now it would be best to atleast get a drink before answering any questions about her now former employer.

Delios in the mean time had just entered the slums, he had his eyes set on a young orphan boy and girl. His big figure made most people back away from him. At this point the slums had just accepted what was happening with the kidnappings and wasn't willing to try to stop him anymore. The two orphans looked at Delios in fight as he started to approach them with a large sack by his side.

Ixi laughed slightly and walked behind my Feon.
"Are you sure?" Ixi asked her. Ixi summoned a glass of alcohol and quickly drank it, she wouldn't get drunk. At least not with that little alcohol.
"'Cause I think you're lying. And trust me, my sources are pretty reliable," Ixi said, walking speedily alongside Feon.

Io finished his drink and put down the glass before walking out. He had his hand on the hilt of his sword, slightly agitated. He really didn't like being around so many people, if Ia came out then things would be bad. Io smoothed his hair, feeling the black rabbit ears that protruded from his head.

Artholath walked into a slum. It hardly surprised him; humans had a tendency to live the most awful lives he had ever seen. Except, of course, what lives his brothers must be living, but that was a different topic altogether.

He heard some activity in the slums around him. It was quieter than he expected, but he continued along the rather pitiful road ahead.

Feon finally stopped once she got herself a drink from the bar. She then turned towards Ixi with time with eyes that looked a bit more alive. "Now that I have had my drink I'll talk. But you need to be asking the questions here not me." Feon stated as she took another swig of her beer. Her bolts started to spark a bit more now due to Delios being near by. It seemed that when ever Feon was near one of Steinburgs creations her bolts would start to spark. Though she was so used to it always sparking that she never thought anything of it.

Delios meanwhile grabbed the two children as they started to scream. He tied up their arms and legs before putting them into the bag. Other people in the slums were started to cry out in fear that they would be taken as well. It seemed that Delios was looking for one more to bring back with him. This time he was looking for someone a bit older than the two orphans in his bag.

"Alright, first two questions. Why are the bolts on your head sparking? And where would you assume Dr. Steinburg is?" Ixi asked. The bolts were concerning her slightly. Making her hesitant. Sparking metal was not always a good thing. And Ixi wanted a head start on her little investigation. It didn't help that she sucked at beating around the bush. Being blunt was so much easier.

Io walked out, a blank expression on his face. He was anxious, nervous, hesitant. Anything but certain of what would happen. One thing he could be certain of was that as long as he didn't let anyone get close to him, then Ia could never kill anyone close to him.

Artholath heard screams coming from the west side of the slums. There wasn’t much that could harm him - and it was more than likely brigands or an accident that caused the screams anyways. He continued walking, but kept aware, just in case.

Feon put her hands up to her bolts feeling the shocks on her hands. "Oh huh, I didn't realize they were doing that. I'm afraid I actually don't know why they do that. They have always been pretty active since I was born." Feon said as she lowered hand back to her glass and took another drink. "Anyways I don't really have a reason to tell you where Steinburg is. So I'm afraid I can't give any sort of information unless I get something out of this myself." Feon said. She was never one to give up information on her own.

Delios stood up a little taller for a moment sniffing the air. Something smelled familiar to him and it wasn't Feon. It was the smell of someone created through a similar manner to himself. He started to head towards Artholath while slinging the bag of orphans over his shoulder. He had a look of curiosity in his eyes as he approached him.

"Well, what do you want?" Ixi asked. This would be harder than she thought. But she was a mafia boss with summoning powers. She should be okay with most things.

Io munched on a snack he had bought. Savoring the taste of the food. It was hard to find great snacks that were cheap.

Artholath heard almost thundering footsteps behind him. Looking back, he saw a tall, lumbering being that was hardly a man - its height was a bit taller than any normal humans and it boasted an appearance that was certainly out of the ordinary. Although wishing to continue his quest, Artholath was more than a little curious as to this strange new arrival.

This isn’t the assistant, obviously… but is this the other one?

He kept good tabs on what was going on, especially when it came to unnatural creations such as necromancy, demons, and the works of Steinburg. It was entirely possible that this was the other creation that he had heard about. Although he would have preferred to make contact with the servant, this could be a lead that would be unwise to lose.

“Greetings, friend.” he said with a little caution, for he had heard of the potential destruction that what he suspected to be Steinburg’s creation could cause. He noticed the noises coming out of the bag and deduced that was probably where those screams originated...

Feon smiled as she looked at the stranger who had just offered to give her something in exchange for information. However it was not money or anything material that she wanted. She wanted to have some fun. "Alright then! Have a few drinks with me! Your buying of course!" Feon said with a smile, Due to Feon being a Frankenstein monster she had a stronger liver than most people and could handle alot more liquor than others. "If you can drink five mugs of Mead and manage to stand up straight I'll tell you want you want to know." She said as she raised a mug. Though she would give the information wether Ixi succeeded or failed.

Delios looked down at the man that had spoked to him. "Why you smell like that?" He asked, he didn't talk much due to him having the mind of a five year old but it was often that his actions spoke much louder than his words. "Doctor would like to meet you." Delios added, he knew the Steinburg would love to look at this specimen. He also knew that just grabbing this man wouldn't be easy since Artholath was not a child.

Karasuma was wandering the face of the earth, as she have been doing for the past 70 or so years. She has tried talking to people, but most of them have either screamed and cursed at her or have performed an unsuccessful exorcism. She sat on a curb and kept her presence hidden from human eyes, not wanting another one to freak out at her. She was starting to feel lonely... actually she has been lonely this entire time. She came to the slums because she had heard rumors that someone there had information on Dr. Steinburg, the only clue she has to her past, but she didn't even know where to start. Suddenly she saw a man walk by her, not noticing her of course. She could tell he wasn't around here, maybe he was also here to look for Dr. Steinburg. She decided to follow him at a distant, but she wasn't the only one.

" You're on," Ixi said, grinning as she summoned five mugs of mead, placing them on the table.
"I'm not buying all of it," Ixi stated before beginning to drink.

Io continued to wander mindlessly, just wandering. With no real destination. Just wandering. Thinking as well. Thinking about Ia. Why she was suck a sadist. Why she even existed. Io had been cursed to turn into a rabbit demon. So why had a split personality and form come from it. Why had the curse birthed Ia?

Doctor would like to meet you...

Artholath was now certain that he had run into the best of luck he has had for hundreds of years. His target was now coming to him.

“Then by all means, take me to the Doctor.” he said smiling, ready to follow.

Feon smiled that someone had taken her challenge. Others in the bar started to Cheer Ixi on as she drank her the mead. "If you want that information your paying." Feon added as she herself ordered a few more mugs of mead for her self and started to chug it down. People in the streets started heading into the bar to see what the commotion was about as the bar was now getting louder. "DRINK DRINK!" The bar patrons yelled at the mob boss.

Delios smiled that this man accepted the offer. "Then you follow." He said as he started to walk out of the slums towards an exit of the kingdom that wasn't even guarded. Delios had the smile of a five year old on his face almost skipping at this point with joy that he didn't have to bag this man. The children in the bag were still kicking though and making enough noise to draw some attention.

"I'll pay for your mead, but not mine," Ixi said, grinning as she chugged the mead. Once done she slammed it down on the table and grabbed the next mug and began to drink that one too..

Io was walking past a bar, when the noise inside caught his attention. He looked inside and saw that it was a drinking challenge between two young ladies ((Ixi and Feon)). He sniggered but went inside, staying towards the edges of the bar, silently spectating.

Eerie blue eyes flicked over the whole scene as Quint walked into the tavern, desperate for a drink after a long travel. He found the place packed and noisy, every man and woman in the place was screaming encouragement to a corpse and a crazy woman. He didn't know she was crazy, but it sounded better that way. He errantly noted to himself that neither could chug properly as he went looking for a barmaid to serve him.

To his great annoyance, no one would serve him or even hear him because of all the commotion with the chugging race. Thirsty and utterly brazen, he practically floated over the crowd to unassumingly hook a mug of mead from the table and down the whole thing in under a second before floating over the table to the other side, smiling to himself.
