Slight Problems:
1) the name sounds kind of like you are a cheap knockoff or a sequel. You could add some color or call yourself Black Bat or something to distinguish yourself. For example, my GL character is nicknamed Little GL to distinguish me from the other GLs.
2) I'm not sure if Tim Drake exists in this universe.
3) you would have been four when earth was sterilized, so you were depressed over it most of your life?

I will change his alias to Bluebat then, since his collapsible wings/cape is that shade of blue. Tim Drake does exist in the JLU universe, he appears as Robin in the second half (last two seasons) of the Batman the Animated Series (also known as "The New Batman Adventures") and he has a cameo in the Justice League episode "The Savage Time." I added ten years to Daniel so now he's been depressed since he was fourteen. I totally blanked over that part. xD

Alright, so I think we need to agree on the nature of the time travel we're talking about in this. If we don't have a standardized understanding of how it works, things could get very confused very quickly.

When we travel back in time, are we creating a branching timeline? Or are we messing with a single, continuous timeline? The only reason I bring this up is that there have been a few mentions of ensuring that the characters are born even after defeating Darkseid. Whether or not they're born seems like the least of the problems posed by a continuous timeline.

Under that paradigm, if they were successful in preventing Darkseid's purge and subsequent enslavement of Earth's populace, they would effectively also be preventing the future Batman and Luthor from constructing the time portal that was absolutely necessary to travel back and make that change to the time stream; it is a categorical paradox.

Not that comics don't have paradoxes when it comes to time travel, but it's not my favorite way of looking at it. The continuous timeline paradigm is fatalistic (i.e. any time travel that takes place logically ought to be observable in the first iteration. If no branching future occurs, whatever happens already takes time travel into account), the branching timeline paradigm is deterministic (i.e. going back effectively makes the future ambiguous, allowing actual changes to be made).

Singular Continuous Timeline:

Branching Timelines with Time Travel only going backwards in time:

I suppose that even with branching timelines a character might want to ensure that a version of them is born into the timeline they're currently inhabiting, but that version of them would be a separate individual. It's not like the character themselves would fade out of existence if they weren't born in the new timeline. They're already an out-of-place artifact of a separate world; they've been born already, somewhen else. If the events of the new timeline could change their pasts, not only shouldn't they be born, but they shouldn't have been able to come back to save anyone or change anything.

If I'm over analyzing this and making it un-fun, let me know and I'll stop thinking so much. I'll stop beating a dead horse now.

I kind of saw it as a single timeline, only we become paradoxes once we make major changes. It's like in the movie "JLA Adventures, trapped in time". In it, people changed the past, but the present versions weren't changed until the timetraveling reaper dude made them different.
In the RP I was going to say that they weren't sure which one it was, though.

Has anyone noticed that Terr-El's name is just a slightly altered version of a human male's name?

No, not really.

Has anyone notice that Lionel's name sounds Kryptonian and that his powers are similar to a Kryptonian's powers? I didn't notice the name thing until you mentioned your characters name in the above quote.

You do know that Lionel Luthor is the name of Lex Luthor's father right? It is not Kryptonian sounding at all, it completely human sounding.

Yeah, it's Lex's middle name. I meant "Lion'el".

@Revans ExileI just want to verify that the watchtower was still in orbit at the end of JLU. If not, I'll have them be in the process of building a new one.

To the best of my knowledge the second Watchtower and several other smaller annexes were still in orbit. My research barring re-watching has not shown any information about the fate of the second Watchtower.

I do know by the time frame of Batman Beyond the facility known as Watchtower was a building in Metropolis.

EDIT: In doing my research on Watchtower II's fate I learned this: The second Watchtower was fitted with extensive weaponry to defend Earth against extraterrestrial invasions, most notably a "binary fusion generator", a directed-energy cannon pointing down at the Earth.

Going to the Watchtower may be more beneficial, getting the weapons online could save a lot of lives before they are ever put in any danger at all.

That's what I was thinking. Th only thing Earth has that could even scratch Warworld is the Binary fusion cannon, though I'm not sure if I'll use Warworld.

@Revans Exile"X is on vacation at the moment. When the vacation is over X already has a contract to fulfill." Red X had no intention of interacting with that lab rat son of Lex.

Was this broadcast or just him talking? if it was broadcast, I guess I'll have to use the younger version.

Besides, all I want to do is have him steal a Thanagarian warship from a high-security Cadmus facility with transport jammers.

Lionel contacted Red X, Red X responded as if it was an automated messaging system replying.

As for the Thanagarian warship Red X can still steal it if you wish but he won't hand it over to Lionel. He doesn't trust beings created in a lab, as they lack a soul in his opinion.

@Revans Exile Well, he's got a soul, he just can't prove it right now as he's to busy planning to conquer the world after mounting a doomsday weapon on a stolen alien spacecraft.

My plan was actually:
1) Red X sneaks in.
2) Red X activates a device to put a whole in their jamming net.
3) I teleport in.
4) I input the codes.
5) We take the ship to the Legion.
6) We mount a doomsday weapon on the ship.
7) We put someone who's virtually a god in a coma with the doomsday weapon.
8) I remove the doomsday weapon.
9) Red X gets to keep the ship.

Would he not accept this plan because a clone came up with it? I can have him inform Lex of it if he says "I'm not working for a soulless ginger clone" or something.

Red X sees all created in a lab as nothing more than a soulless biological robot (SBR for short).

Would he not accept this plan because a clone came up with it? I can have him inform Lex of it if he says "I'm not working for a soulless ginger clone" or something.
Red X will never work for a SBR, unless it was to ensure that the SBR failed. As for plans, if Red X knows it and likes he will use it, might not always use it for the person who thought it up.
