For some odd reason the Uchiha who Fukusho just learned was called Kuro became upset for some odd reason. Well he could throw as much temper tantrums as he wanted here as long as it doesn't affect the missions. Either way Fukusho followed the rest of his teammates into the big building to meet their sensei. When Fukusho got to the room he was the last to arrive and everyone in the room seemed to be acting tense. Why was that because there sensei didn't look that impressive. Then again it could be that Kuro-kun over there was riling everyone up. Yep it had to be a contagious stress disorder that was spreading throughout the room. To combat his stress he crumpled up the piece of paper in his pocket and threw it right at the sensei. "Hello, Fukusho Mato at your service."

The man raised up an eyebrow and chuckled, "Well I'm not the hokage that's for sure. Well it's nice to meet your acquaintance Mikone. But you shouldn't be so stiff around me I can't train a kid who's as flexible as a stone board. Of course I could be wrong and you could just be trying to make a good impression. Regardless of my babbling I'm indeed Nara Akihiko." Nara said as he got up from his chair and walked over to the three who had just arrived. He didn't let out what he was thinking nor did his face indicate anything other than that. He rubbed his chin as he looked at Masatake.

"Medical ninja? You ain't no medical ninja yet kiddo. You're just a genin my friend, but one day you may be a medical ninja indeed. But you're in a career that involves fighting right now and most kids like you go off to medical school rather than train as someone like us. I'll teach you what I can but I don't think I'll be able to help you much at first. We'll cross that road later. But I'm getting ahead of myself aren't I? Welcome to Team Thirteen Masatake. If you need anything just ask." Akihiko said as he patted him on the shoulder and walked away from the boy who had sat down on the chair.

"Hello Mato nice to meet you. I don't believe I can say much to you. You're not trying to make a formal impression like Mikone and you're not like Masatake over there who's calm and collected. You're certainly not like Kuro who barged in her like he owned the place. So then what does that leave me to say? Not much maybe I'll learn something in a bit then. Anyways welcome to my squad kid." Akihiko walked back to the certain and opened it up bringing light into the room and he sat back down at his desk.

"Alright then how about we open up a bit more huh? Tell me what your dreams are? What do you intend to accomplish as a ninja? Do you have any sorter term goals? Do you have any role models? Basically tell me about yourself. If you can think of anything else other than what I listed go ahead and share. Now why don't you go first hot head?" Akihiko said as he looked over to Kuro who had been impatiently waiting in the corner of the room.

"I am Uchiha Kuro of The Hidden Leaf Village. My dreams are to become the strongest ninja in the world and to surpass the hokage. The things I want to accomplish are simple: Lean how to be a better person, learn how to fight better, and learn how to protect my family. I also would like to learn the inner mysteries of my clan's abilities and history. I have no role models as I intend to surpass anyone who has come before or after me. I have nothing to say about hobbies as I spend the majority of my time training as a ninja. Close combat, mid range combat, long range combat, and how to weave in my ninjutsu and genjutsu into them. Is that satisfactory enough for you sensei?" Kuro informed Nara sarcastically towards the end but he was being true for the most part. He didn't really exactly care for his family as much as he led on but they still were important to him.

"Kid you need some friends." Akihiko said chuckling as Kuro glared at him and he looked to the other three and waited their answers.

ive got more training then most" Masatake mumbled as his sensei said that he wasn't a medical ninja yet, that was obvious but Masatake was born into medicine it was his gift not many others could say the same. Once Kuro finished his explanation of who he was and his dream Masatake had to resist the urge to roll his eyes but Masatake did smile a little when his sensei said that he needed friends, apparently that wasn't all that kuro would need but live and learn as they say.

Masatake decided to go next and explain his goals for the time being As I said my name is Masatake Gorou, I born to be in medicine but my life changed and I chose to become a ninja and eventually a medical ninja. My only goal here is to get revenge for the injustice that has happened to me once I do I will leave to become the clan head and whether it takes me years or if I have to become a jonin ill do it to make sure that my vengeance is paid for. My only role model is my father, this hat that im wearing belonged to him and its the only thing I have left of him. I also have a summoning scroll for my clans familiar. my weakness would be that im not very fast Masatake said finishing up clutching the tip of his hat a little tightly remembering his father and that night when everything was taken away. It still makes his blood boil and he will not stop till everyone involved in it is dead and he has his baby brother back

"Maybe I shouldn't talk and maybe I shouldn't judge but Masa...Don't go down the path of revenge buddy. It only leads to suffering and pain. I saw some bad things happen in my lifetime due to revenge don't head down that road. That may not mean much coming from me but that's my advice to you buddy. An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind and blind people need help to move. Don't poke your other eye out kid you'll need it to see properly. As for being the head of your clan...that's a more noble goal. If anything strive towards that and hone your medical ninjutsu. If you do that you'll be able do so much more for people. Just food for thought."

Fukusho almost laughed when he heard sensei say that Kuro-kun needed friends. Sure it did sound pretty funny at first but then Fukusho thought that he would never befriend his teammate. Then he heard his other teammate Masa-kun tell us about his life story and goals. His childhood sounded terrible if he had to avenge a fallen clan. Fukusho's family meant the world to him so he could not imagine life if his mother and father died on him. "Listen Masa-kun, I think that is a great goal. If people start killing your comrades then you should declare war on every single one of them." Fukusho urged his teammate. "By the way I'm Fukusho of the Mato clan and I am going to be the greatest ninja this village has ever seen. I follow my father as a role model because he is an amazing ninja. My short term goal would probably be to make friends with all of my teammates." Fukusho said as he stopped to take a breath.

"My dreams and goals?" she wondered. Waiting for another to speak mikone got an idea of what her sensei wanted to hear.

"My goal is to be a useful person like my dad was. I dont know who killed him but I wouldnt be looking for revenge anyway. I mean..." mikone worried about what Masatake thought about what she said. Was that going to sound like she didnt agree with revenge? Evenif it did she doubting bonding as a team could get any more difficult with four people.

"But my dream is... To be much more than a shinobi." too vague she thought. But she couldnt put it into words. "I just know that i will have more than missions to worry about one day but i want those issues to be important. I guess i mean that i want to be important and mske those decisions that matter instead of letting someone else worry or carry any burdens.."

She stopped there, wondering if she made any sense to the others.

Masatake Nearly growled when his sensei told him that he shouldn't follow the path of revenge, what did he know! he didn't see what happened that day and he didn't nearly die from a fire! Masatake was about to tell him off when Fukusho agreed with him about his path of revenge which made Masatake feel better at least a little. He then turned to him and nodded his thanks to Fukusho for supporting him then he turned to his sensei "my revenge is two fold. Those bastards took my baby brother from me when the fire came that they started. Part one is getting my little brother back and bringing him home, the second is making sure that the people who took him don't breath afterwards. I watched as I saw my family get killed then the last thing I heard before the fire consumed me was my baby brother crying for help. You tell me you don't want to make the bastards pay after doing that to you then I will consider those words of not taking revenge" Masatake said trying to use as much respect as he could muster when he spoke of the pain of that night making him angry and depressed all at the same time...

"First off kid I won't touch on your family issues, but you're all full of shit. You think you're the only one who's lost a love one through some under handed bull shit? It doesn't make it fair but it doesn't make it right by seeking to live through vengeance. Once vengeance is gone what is left? Look I'm not asking or telling you to do anything. What I'm asking you to do is think about what comes after that next step. What comes after that man or woman or group is dead? Are you going to kill their family? Make them suffer the same as you have? What if they had kids or were just following orders? Can you look up at the mountain over looking our village and say to the first hokage's face that you will be proud of what you did?" Nara said as Kuro groaned. "We not here to listen to my teammates sob stories and whining about their dead families sensei. We're here to meet you." Kuro said bluntly as he stepped up to Nara boldly as Akihiko looked down at him and groaned before rubbing his head.

"I was just getting there. Second thing you need to know is that we're going out to the training field to do some group and singular exercises. I want to spend today learning how you four act as a unit and what you can do separately. You want to be better ninja? Then I need to know what I'm working with. Some assholes would make you wait until the dawn of morning to do these exercises. I'm not an asshole. You'll learn how to become a stronger person later for now you need to hone your skill sets. Do you all understand this or do I need to grab a hammer to make it fit into your heads? What I'm saying isn't complicated and what we're going to do isn't complicated. However before we start I'll let you ask questions and make comments if you want. Just be warned I am petty so if you ask or say something smart I'll work your butt ten times more than the others. Oh and one more thing. Mikone. I want you to know that's a fine goal. Don't stop working forward and don't stop to let others pass you. Keep reaching out and training till you reach that goal. Unlike Kuro over there you aren't motivated by a sense of 'I'm a better than you' mentality. And as for Fuku over there you'll need to try a lot harder than you think to make friends with some of your squadmates. And while it is a noble goal you should be aware that you need to set a goal for yourself personally." Akihiko said looking over to Kuro expecting some sort of comment from the kid with a chip on his shoulder. Kuro however was now shaking a little and holding back to urge to question their sensei. His anger and his bitter rage was now welling up inside of him. He'd prove he was better than his team and he'd do so in a way to make it clear to their sensei he was no average weak genin.

Fukusho gave his best attempt to understand Masa-kun but he thought the foundation he just set should do good for battle but then Kuro-kun over there had to say something to contradict to flow of getting along. Then sensei did say he would have to try harder to make friends with all of his squad mates. He guessed that sensei was referring to Kuro over there who seemed as if it was his life's mission to not get along with anyone in the world. Either way it will all work out. Fukusho just needed to put some effort in it. But now it was time for sensei to lead them and more could be done when they were actually in the battle field doing something. Then Fukusho realized he was not paying attention to what Akihiko-sensei was saying. Then Fukusho heard the comment about not understanding then he would beat their heads with a hammer. "Um sensei is this hammer going to be painful?" Fukusho bluntly asked.

"The hammer was figurative I think." Mikone said. Thinking about what her sensei was saying brought up concerns. Ot wasn't about his ability to teach but rather the way each of them would accept each other.

"What do you need to know about us, Akihiko-sensei." she tried to sound kind but her concern was apparent. Did her teacher know nothing about them at all? She wondered if he was asking a out something else. In any case she knew group training might not be the hardest part to come.

"Just one more question. Why did you accept four fenin when the other students were grouped in threes?"

Akihiko looked at Fukusho before sighing and shaking his head, "Only if you got a soft head and as it looks like you don't have a soft head, big guy." Akihiko said before turning to Mikone who had a more valid question. "As I said Mikone I can't teach a squad of growing genin if I don't got their skills in check. Much less you can't train ninjutsu if you don't know how to use hand signs." Akihiko said as he made the signs for the snake and then the dog and then the bear to emphasize his words. "A painter can't paint properly without knowing what colors he's using. Maybe he'll get lucky and make something worthwhile or maybe it will be garbage. Only the painter knows. I'm not a painter I'm a teacher I don't get the luxury of taking my time if I screw up I screw all of you up. I've read your profiles from class but that's all. I make it a priority to see with my own eyes how good the group is at certain things." Akihiko smiled at the last question though and shook his head, "I'll make you a deal Mikone, If you pass my tests and actually impress me I'll tell you. If not then you'll have to earn that answer later. Why I chose this squad isn't a secret but think of it as something to look forward to for showing me you can handle my tests."

Masatake sighed softly just shutting up at this point. Their was no reason to drag out an argument that had no end to it, besides Masatake wasn't going to let his sensei change his mind from his true goal to get his brother back and making the bastards pay for what they did. That's just the fact of the matter, now Kuro being insensitive and saying that Masakate was giving a sob story he can get used to. Masatake will get him back for that comment in the future eventually. Masatake wasn't a monster and he would kill someone because of what their relative did. As his sensei started to talk about doing training for now Masatake actually relaxed a little thinking he could just blow off some steam with what just happened. Masatake said nothing because he had nothing more to say at this point that would benefit him in the long run...

"It's a Deal then." She said, thinking about why her teacher would keep it from them even though it wasn't a secret. Is he looking for a challenge? Maybe we're all meant to be together. Looking toward the other genin, the young girl wondered if her sensei would acknowledge their skills as superior to her own. He was just talking about not allowing people around her to surpass her. However, those boys were skilled in the arts that she wasn't. Clearly their teacher would realize that she wasn't as great as they were, her dream was just a dream that floated like clouds. Was she supposed to fly to make them reality? Looking glum for a moment she paid attention to what her teacher was going to say next, if just to pre-appeal against any judgement on her weaker shinobi arts.

It appears that Mikone-chan over there thinks it was odd that there was something odd about their team. Now that Fukusho thought about it they did have more than the average team did have. Now what would be good reason for Akihiko-sensei to run a team like that.It did make things bit harder to manage so maybe he liked the challenge of having a big squad. Yeah that had to be it because its harder to stay hidden on stealth assignment and he has to look up one more time if he is going to keep his squad in check on a mission. This guy must have a burning desire to prove himself and his relaxed manner is only ruse. Then again Fukusho did not exactly care why their sensei took their squad as long as he did take it. Either way Fukusho didn't want to stand around here talking any longer. "Sensei, this is all interesting stuff but when are we going to begin our first mission?" Fukusho inquired.

"The day after tomorrow Fukusho. You may be ninja now but I intend to work you hard today so I'll give you three the day off." Nara said before looking at Kuro who shook his head and tapped his foot. "Alright kids let's get moving we're heading to the forest borders to see how well you can do somethings." Akihiko left it at that and turned on his heel to leave the room and was followed quickly by Kuro who grabbed at his shirt in an attempt to quell his uneasy feeling in his gut. It wasn't that he was nervous so much as he just wanted to get this whole ordeal over with. He had no interest in showing off his skills to his teacher but if he got stronger and better training from it what was there to complain about.

He wondered just exactly where they were going before Akihiko stopped suddenly half way down the hallway in order to say hello to a man in bright red clothes and a bright red headband. The man didn't carry the Leaf village symbol on him so he must have have come from another village or he was a spy. Either way Kuro didn't care about him so he waited for his sensei to stop talking with the man before he kept on going. The man didn't even blink and eye at any of them. "Don't worry about it just an old acquaintance nothing more." Akihiko said dismissing any thoughts or questions on the matter before the three left the Hokage's Palace and headed down to the gate.

After getting past Kenshin Uchiha at his post Akihiko led them to a small clearing in the middle of the woods where there was various evidence of training that had gone down here before. Akihiko looked around and chuckled as he reminisced about something. "You kids have it good in that the war has been over for a couple of years now. Back when I was a genin there use to be a lot of fighting between the villages." Akihiko said as he began to walk around the clearing and he stopped at a tree. He marked the tree with a circle and carved a spot in the middle and then did the same to a couple of more trees. "Let's start off with some basics show me how well you can throw those kunai at the trees."

Masatake followed sensei and the others to where they would train and he made sure to listen to him as he explained what he wanted from them for the future. Then he started to talk about the war and how we were lucky and considering what he read about it in the history books he would agree although now what work will their be for them in the future except getting run away pets as the lowest option or at best escorting some merchants somewhere else because of bandits. Masatake watched as he said that he wanted to see how well they used Kunai on the trees, Masatake was going to be a medical ninja and he uses Senbon this would be easy for him.

Masatake walked over and grabbed a handful of Kunai and he gently moved his hands up and down weighing them and judging how the weight would cause them to arc lower faster and so on. After a few moments of judging Masatake sighed softly before he took a stance and threw the 7 kunai in his hands at 7 different trees in quick succession. One thing would be said about Masatake he was accurate and quick, once he threw all his kunai he returned back to his spot behind the group to let the others go and see if they will do better then him

Akihiko whistled and looked at the targets, "Not bad show off...you hit all the trees...now go and get my kunai back when this is done." Akihiko said flatly as he turned to the rest of the ninja and waited for them to do their things. Kuro was mildly impressed by the medical ninja's accuracy. "You have accuracy. But you lack actual power." Kuro commented dully as he took his stand and pulled out a pair of kunai that he threw in the air before closing his eyes and breathing in deeply. He opened his eyes just in time to catch his kunai and he threw them in a V one to both sides. The targets impacted the trees that were marked not as accurate as Masatake's shots were but as far as Kuro concerned it didn't matter as it still hit near the middle. However Kuro's throws hit the trees hard enough to crack the wood and let out an audible thud. "How can you expect to hurt people or animals with such wimpy blows. Masatake I don't understand." Kuro looked towards his sensei, "Again nice job show off."

Mikone just looked at him. Her eyes wide and her jaw dropped like a stone in a pond. Surely this was an joke.

"I.. I..." She sighed, looking at the kunai then to her own hands. There was no way in hell she'd be able to do that let alone hit a target. Sighing again she closed her eyes and tried to imagine the act of throwing the kunai then hitting a target. In school she'd done just... well not really she struggled in the physical arts. There were rare and wonderful moments when she had manged to hit a target from a distance, now it seemed hell returned to the mortal world in the form of trial by kunai throwing.

The girl picked the weapon, feeling the weight and then the texture in her hand. Sunlight illuminated the area but clouds cut holes in the light except for the small window in the clouds that cast a ray onto the weapon's blade. The reflection in her eyes was it, a sign from the heavens that she would be able to do it, hit the target precisely.

"I can do it." She mumbled to herself, probably not quiet enough since her sensei was a jounin after all. Her fingers were tight around the weapon. Thinking about the gravity of the situation, testing her skills, wasn't going to make a good impression if she couldn't do something so basic. Putting a foot back like the other genin, she focused on the target. Winding up her arm behind her then twisting, she threw it in an attempt to recognize the sign of the heavens. But at the last moment she forced her body forward. The momentum of her arm made her top heavy and so she slipped, loosing whatever balance she'd managed to gain with her stance.

The kunai flew, going quick but also spinning in the air. Mikone didn't see but it was very clear she lacked the skill to throw it without the spin. An audible CLUNK signaled that it bounced off the back, the edge not even piercing the tree's bark. When she turned to see, her confused expression turned sour. One eye twitching, she glared at the projectile. It wasn't even near the correct tree.

"I'm I'm going to die one day cause I can't throw a kunai worth a damn." She said to herself, almost crying with her red blushing face.

Akihiko sighed and walked over slowly towards his trainee Mikone as he knelt down and looked her in the eye. His eyes were gentle but firm. "You're trying to hard. You're still learning and you're still getting stronger. Would it help to know that my best friends all were known as the Konoha's Dumbest? All of them are Jounin now. Imagine what you can become Mikone and take it to the next level. Imagine the tree not as a target but something you need to overcome." Akihiko said as Kuro grunted in annoyance. Akihiko wasn't deterred however as he grabbed Mikone's arm and put a ninja star in it. "Breath...think...picture the target. Don't think of hitting it perfectly like the other two. One is an Uchiha and the other is from a medical family known for their accuracy. Just hit it once and that's all it takes. You can work on your throw later. I believe in you. Just don't say shit about dying yet. I've lost enough people to that kind of talk and it doesn't get you anywhere. Now do it again. With purpose and belief in yourself not to surpass Kuro. Not to surpass Masatake." Akihiko said as he walked back to where he was standing now with a firm face on.

Masatake sighed a little when his sensei just said that he wanted all his kunai back when they were done. So that fell flat but Masatake wasn't going to pull back when he wanted to gauge our skills so when it was Kuro turn he decided to bad mouth Masatake by asking how Masatake expects to hurt anyone with his "wimpy blows". Masatake growled a little and he took out one of his senbon and walked over to kuro. he gently pricked different parts of his body and once he was done he said dead, 34 times. don't talk to me about how I will kill with "wimpy blows" when I can kill a person just from this little needle. Now I don't say anything about how your blows aren't accurate or sloppy they are so don't try to insult the way I fight until you have actually seen me fight Masatake said as he walked away letting that soak in. It was the time old question of accuracy vs power.

When it was Mikone turn Masatake actually frowned softly thinking he may have set the bar to high. He genially felt bad for her and didn't want her to feel so bad because she had a tough time throwing a Kunai. It was slightly surprising that Sensei actually went and comforted her about it but apparently he wasn't all stone hearted like Kuro was so he had a little bit of a soft side to him....
