Bundard strolled casually along the road, taking in the forest and its dense undergrowth, such beauty was rare in keridian and he was glad it was not so in Gerwidd. Pulling his back pack up and over his shoulder, opening the outside pocket, he pulled out his Talisman.
This is the spot, theres the post-sign he thought.

Laying it flat on the ground Bundard gathered the rocks and pebbles that lay around, as well as a large stone slab that had fallen from the ruined and ancient post-sign and piled them in front of the talisman. After this Bundard took himself into the woods and returned with a large bark strip piled high with dirt and grit, dragging it along the ground.

Tipping the earth ontop of the stone pile, Bundard disgaurded the bark - throwing it into the wilderness. Taking his forefinger Bundard began to draw a faguely humanoid figure. When he had finished, he placed his Talisman on top of this 'man' in the dirt and placing a hand on the pile of rocks and earth - muttered a few words.

It stood, and it followed him into the trees, where they waited.

Nithhiri was wandering the outskirts of a road surrounded by forest, as she would rather not be seen, as her pack was full of fresh bread. She was a thief, but not the only thief around. She liked being hidden while traveling, as most people didn't enjoy the presence of Tieflings, it seemed. It was nice being able to travel without sneers and looks of disgust from everyone she passed.

Bundard had been sat for several hours, sharpening his axes and maintaining his crossbow, when his earthen minion grunted. Bundard knelt forward, parting the leaves to take a look at the road. The party approached, more than his employer had specified.

No worry crossed Bundard's mind however. He was sure he and his elemental friend could take them on without a fuss. The elemental picked up the sharpened wooden branches it had been working on, heaved a large rock from the earth and looked over to Bundard.

It was a neat and precise setup, tripwire on the road strung up to log tied to a nearby tree. He would stay back in the trees with his crossbow until his elemental fell or he felt like hackin'n slashin. 5 was enough, and the carriages rider probably wasn't going to be a nuisance.

Taking a deep breath Bundard prepped his aim and got a bolt out of his quiver for a quick reload.

This was going to be fun.

Nithhiri heard the joyful antics of a traveling group. She peeked out at the travelers, considering the possible bounty compared to her own lowly bread she had acquired. She considered the amount of persons, and weighed it against her own skill. She smirked a little to herself, and began stalking the group, thinking of a strategy.

Dust rose and fell as the parties feet struck the ground. The labour horse walked intently, keeping a steady pace as its reins lead back to the carriage loosely. The carriages driver sat, with his feet up, letting the cold freeze flush over his face.

Walking beside the tall tawny horse was an orc. Just as tall as the horse and tough looking, tattoed face and ragged chainmail armor, he held a double-edged axe by his side. Sat on the end of the carriage, amongst the barrels, chests and leather sacks, sat a human dressed in a deep blue robe. The mage Bundard presumed, these types of transports usually have one or two.
Trailing behind was an elf, pale of skin and nimble looking, he held a longbow in his hand - a quiver on his hip and a knife on his belt. The fourth was a dwarf like Bundard, but much older and shorter - he held a warhammer much larger than himself and was enveloped in a long grey cloak, making it hard for Bundard to decide if he was wearing armor or not.

The fifth was...well, they were no where to be seen.

Damn it! This wasnt going to go smoothly if he didnt know where his targets were. Leaving the elemental where it hid, Bundard snuck along the treeline passing the party after a few minutes, thankfully going unnoticed. Stopping at where he last saw the fifth carriage guard, Bundard scanned the area.

Among the trees on the otherside of the road was a human warrior, pissing against an old oak.

Bundard had to do this quick, and get back to the trap he set further up the road. Looking left and right, checking there was no one to spot him, he dashed across the road - pulling his two handaxes from their holsters.

Nithhiri continued to exam the party, weighing out possibilities. Multiple situations ran through her head as she pondered the possible objects and food items she could acquire. Just as she was about to take on the travelers, she heard a rustle of leaves on the other side of the road, and an armored dwarf appeared from the thick trees, quickly sprinting across the road. She pulled back her advance slightly, sinking back into the trees.

She cursed under her breath, deciding to lay low.

"Maybe if he needs assistance I'll go in... He might let me take something away from this...

Bundards axes flashed in the bright light of the roads clearing. The human turned at the rustling of Bundard entering the treeline, quickly trying to pull his pants up - while at the same time reaching for his sword.

Flying throught the air, his first axe met with the mans soldier, sending his left foot back to instinctivly steady himself. Before the breath from his lungs became a shout for help the next axe crunched into his skull. Sliding almost effortlessly through the the mans jaw bone, slicing his right eye in half.

His arms lifted a little to protect himself - a second too late. His right leg buckling he fell to both knees and toppled onto his back with a soft thud in the leaves.

Pulling his axes from the dead corpse, Bundard cleaned the blood from them with a swift swipe of his cloak. Searching the body for any coins or trinkets, he found only a few gold coins. He took the warriors sword for his elemental to use.

Leaving the body amongst the trees, bloodied with its chainmail pants by its knees, Bundard once again ran briskly across the road.

The party couldnt be too far from his trap by now.
